E Z Breathing AirDuct Cleaning

Utterly disappointed. Chose this company based on their Yelp…read morereviews. The technician (Duane) arrived to clean our ducts on 10/2025. We had previously taken the time to move everything out of the way to provide complete access to the ductwork and make things easier for the tech. Why are we disappointed? - the dust level in our house is much, much worse than prior to service being preformed - upon checking I saw a large amount of debris in the bottom of our ducting - the technician reinstalled a register grill upside down because the duct tin needed tacked up out of the way and he apparently didn't want to bother taking time to do it correctly. - I had to ask about the condition of our ducts prior to the cleaning before he would show me just a one single before photo. I have to wonder if it was actually a photo of our ducting. - I got a negative vibe from the technician from the outset. His demeanor was less than friendly and he didn't talk much. My impression was that he wanted to get in and out as quickly as possible. I felt he was a very poor representative of this company. The work was completed quickly and I can't help but feel we received a "rush job". The dust in our house is much worse than ever and this experience was a complete waste of our $725. We feel like we've been ripped off. Per your response to my review above - Yes it's true that it's been a year since the service was performed. I've been meaning to send a review since last winter. However, because I'm a procrastinator and I sincerely don't like to complain doesn't change anything about my honest, but blunt, statements. The unusual frequency and amount of dusting we now have to do after your service (not to mention shelling out your service fee for sub, substandard work) finally drove me to take this step. Furthermore, explain to me why when I happened to be performing some home maintenance a couple of months ago, I found the thick layer of crud laying on the bottom of our ducting ? It shouldn't be there in that volume. Is your equipment inadequate ? As far as the operable grill reinstalled upside down goes, it was GLARINGLY obvious because it had once been painted except for a strip on the bottom behind the carpeting. That, exceedingly noticeable, contrasting strip was reinstalled up, instead of down, where it's hidden by the carpet nap. (I can send you a photo.) I saw how the tin interfered with the reinstallation and I had to mess around and tack it up out of the way. So I believe the technician didn't want to deal with it and put on upside down instead of, at least, notifying me. And I suggest you speak to your technicians about how they represent your establishment. On the whole, our experience points to some sort of problem with your company. Where that problem lies is up for debate. I initially read all the good reviews regarding your company. I expected at least adequate work to be performed. What we got was, at best, unacceptable. You can speak about all the positive things about your company and your personnel, all I know is what we experienced. Instead of denying everything I said perhaps you should consider it objectively and take it for what it's worth.

Mold Medics were the only ones who would disclose the product they use to treat the air ducts, answer questions and provide its ingredients. I felt safe with their product choice as it's one of the least toxic out there. Every person we interacted with, from initial call to the technician that did the cleaning was professional, respectful, experienced and a pleasure. They were incredibly clean too, which means a lot to me as a clean freak/germaphobe. Since then, we've recommended them to family and friends who were equally impressed and happy with their experience. We just had them come to our new house to service our ducts here too and even in the middle of a pandemic, I'm absolutely blown away by the experience. The gentleman who as incredibly covid conscious and respectful of us and our home. He went above and beyond to make sure to keep us all safe. He also told us about some insulation that was wedged in a cold air return (that shouldn't have been) versus just moving to the next room. He allowed us to remove that insulation ourselves and then went back to reclean anything it impacted. Mold Medics is an example of how to do business right. I couldn't recommend them more. They are awesome.

The two gentlemen, Roger and John, who provided the service, arrived promptly, were efficient, friendly and polite. Stanley Steemer has hundreds of company-owned locations and locally owned franchises across the country. This particular location operates in the Pittsburgh area. Its services include cleaning carpet, air ducts, dryer vents, upholstery, tile and grout, hardwood, area rugs, etcetera. Unlike some competing businesses, for cleaning carpets, Stanley Steemer does not use steam but rather hot-water extraction. Their vacuum pumps hot water into carpets to release dirt from the fibers, and then powerful suction extracts the water and dirt. 2024 review: Through the business's website, I scheduled an appointment for cleaning carpet in my guest bedroom, upstairs hallway, and basement stairs in the morning. Many convenient times for available in the week, so I did not have to wait long for an appointment. Two employees, Dominick and Ray, called me when they were on their way, and they arrived at my house on time. They spoke very courteously to me, and they did an excellent job of cleaning my carpets. They connected their vacuum to the spigot in my garage, and they spent over one hour cleaning my carpets. My carpets had old stains from the previous homeowner and from my dog and cats, and the employees were able to remove most of the stains. 2026 review: I made an online appointment for an arrival window of noon to 4 PM. The first email confirmation said my correct city, but their second/reminder email said an incorrect city. On the day of the appointment, Stanley Steemer called and texted me that they were on their way and would arrive at 10:30 AM! I hurriedly got ready for their arrival. Two employees, Johnny and Wilbur, arrived. The one who was in charge walked through my house to look at the carpets, added up the total price with a coupon, and he pressured me to add on a deodorizer, which I declined. They spent 1 hour 45 minutes cleaning my carpet in 6 rooms, 1 walk-in closet, 1 hallway, and 1 stairwell. (They did NOT have to move any furniture.) The employee in charge said that they removed a lot of cat hair from my carpet, and he pressured me to adding on ScotchGuard for stain protection, which I declined. He commented on the cost to replace the carpet. He asked me if I have any children, etcetera. I walked through the rooms, and I saw that some pet stains were removed, and others were not but probably could have been removed if they had tried. He asked me to sign three agreements on his tablet without showing me the on-screen text. The total price for the carpet cleaning, tax, and tip minus a 15% online coupon was $495. (A competing company would have cost more according to their online estimate.) I used my credit card to pay, and they thanked me.
