We had used a different company suggested through our insurance to fix the leak, but did not have the ceiling fixed at the same time for unrelated reasons. When it came time to fix the ceiling, we could not get the previous company to return our calls so we turned to MXCP Construction. We had a consultation over the phone and I agreed for them to start the job the following week. They arrived promptly, assessed the damage in person, and talked me through the repair and patch process. They got to work right away and finished the repairs on the same day including the texture. The ceiling repair had to dry so it could not be completed on the same day. The crew cleaned up and took all the debris with them. The price was reasonable, they were timely, and the ceiling looked good!

They replaced toilets, cut holes in the tile wall for new outlets, and replaced old pedestal sinks with new floating vanities and sinks. The work was done efficiently and correctly. They had all the right tools and parts, and everything went together beautifully. At the end of the job, they cleaned everything up thoroughly and hauled away all the trash. Extremely impressed by John and the folks at J Francis. We were looking for a complete renovation…read moreof our house as we head into retirement. Since this is going to be our "forever home", I had some very specific items I wanted included. From our very first meeting, John took the time to listen to my ideas and concerns, and shape them into a "do-able" project. He also was prepared to give us a ballpark estimate of how much our work would run, which was extremely helpful in managing our expectations. We have completed the planning phase, and are ready to dive into the project in a few weeks. Despite the fact that I have been working out of town for much of the past year, the staff has never missed a beat, providing me with numerous e-mails, texts, and Hangouts to ensure I was a part of the planning process and constantly kept part of the proc. There was never a time when I felt "out of the loop", even though we worked long distance for much of the time. A renovation project of this size can be intimidating. But the professionals at J Francis have made us feel at ease throughout every step of the planning process. I would wholeheartedly recommend J Francis for any renovation project you may be planning. UPDATE: The renovation is complete...and looks fantastic! Hats off to Kortney and Dave, who were in constant communication with us throughout the project. As usual with a project of this magnitude, there were a few "surprises" that popped up (not their fault), but they were on top of everything and kept the project on schedule. We couldn't be happier with the results. I would give them our highest recommendation for any renovation project you might have in mind!

Regis and his team at Master Remodelers did two extensive projects for us. When I first contacted…read morethem, I was unprepared for their requirement of payment for a project proposal. Their comprehensive in-house design and build approach was unlike that of other contractors, and their cooperative communication was instrumental in developing and meeting our expectations. They made understanding us and our house equal priorities. They educated us about the condition of the house, brought in an engineer, and designed projects around improving and reinforcing the house. They found and corrected issues created by the house's original builder. They work well coordinating their work with other contractors. With one exception, there were no call-backs. A minor installation error discovered years later was cheerfully and promptly fixed as a warranty item, a reflection on their commitment to their clients. When it came time to sell the house, the quality of their work was a strong draw for the buyers. It drew a crowd. They exemplify how a great team can accomplish great results!

I just wanted to update my review to reflect the fact that I have been harassed by this company…read moreconstantly over the past two months for writing this review. They originally reached out to me asking to take it down. When I refused to do so because I believe that my review reflects my family's experience, the messages kept on coming. At first, she said I shouldn't leave a bad review because I have never dealt with a death in my family (not true & not sure how that is relevant). Then she accused me of writing my review to punish the company and for no other reason. My response was: "Let's be VERY clear here. I'm not "punishing your company". I'm leaving a review of our experience on a site that is meant to leave reviews of people's experiences with different companies. If all owners tried to bully patrons into only leaving good reviews on Yelp... well there would no longer be a Yelp. I'm leaving honest feedback on how it felt to deal with your company. I'm sorry that you don't agree with our assessment, but it's truly how it felt. I'm very glad that we parted ways when we did so that we could work with someone that was much more pleasant to deal with." And she responded back with: "And you reaffirmed ours that "you're not our customer." Because our customers have class." I just wanted everyone to know how this company operates behind the scenes...

I notified Allgood several time via telephone, email, text, and even once when they were at my home to give me a quote on a new roof. I showed the salesman what was wrong with the one window and I was advised he would report it immediately to the corporate office however I never heard back. After receiving another roofing estimate which was about $4500.00 cheaper I decided that due to the lack of service on repairing a minor window lock, there was no way they would respond if a roof were to develop a leak. As of this review I have not received any correspondence from Allgood with respect to repairing my window. I can not with a clear conscious recommend this company to anyone searching for home remodeling or repair as they do not honor their warranty.

Here we are 6 months later and the job still isn't done to our satisfaction. First off they basically force you into the "deal" they offer at the time of the estimate or else you pay nearly double. Then, communication between reps/offices is completely lacking. Let's not even mention the empty promises and insincere apologies. Several times I was told the crew would be out the next day and they wouldn't show, and no call to let me know they couldn't make it. Suffice it to say once the job was completed, my boyfriend and I had several concerns about the appearance of the roof (looked like there were several places susceptible to leaks) that were repeatedly waved off with more promises that it would not leak, rather than them just fixing the problems. I'm still fighting with the company to get the job done right and after all the hassle I feel like 8 grand is way too expensive for a rubber band-aid that looks like crap.

In fact, in my review I stated that all I asked for was the curtesy to let me know you'd decided you were no longer interested in the job. I left a voicemail, asking if you'd decided not to do it. It would not have required you to drop anything to take less than 30 seconds to reply to the text I had sent with the photos and say you were no longer interested. That would have demonstrated a level of professionalism and common courtesy that should be a cornerstone of your business. Instead, you decide to respond to this review three years later with a passive-aggressive reply that only serves to make you look incredibly unprofessional. No part of my review was unreasonable, and the resolution that I said I hoped for was completely fair. Sending a text message would not have endangered your life or your health, but it would have gone a long way to showing that you're a decent person who cares about doing right by people, even when you aren't going to take the job.
