I assume these are subcontractors of Rock Hill decks as the gentlemen we dealt with stated this was his own company. USE CAUTION if you choose this route. The gentlemen we dealt with was nice and polite, but quotes were extraordinarily vague. The materials cost ended up being 3x more than quoted (originally 4 times more, but there was so much overpurchased material we took it back for a refund, thankfully). The craftsmanship was sub-par, especially for a licensed deck specialist, and the paint work was extremely rushed and "slapped on" with entire sections left untouched. After agreeing to pay half up front and the remainder upon project completion were we continuously harrased about paying more and more money to "keep them going". When we stated the agreed upon terms, the gentlemen became irrate and irrational.....still demanding payment for incomplete work. Unfortunately, this was not resolvable as the gentlemen felt it was better to insult me vs. discussing resolution for the incomplete work. This left us terminating the contract in an incomplete state. To the owner of Rock HIll Decks - if these are subcontractors of yours please know that this is directed at our experience with them (Dylan Builders LLC) and unfornately this experience is tied to your business. I truly wish I could state differently, but this was a bad experience leaving our deck in worse shape than before the project and now I have additional work to make things right.
