Found my new go to when I'm in the area!!! We did a take out order and just being there in person i think we need to eat in person for the vibes It's spacious! Plenty of seating and they have a parking lot and more street parking. Staff were on it fulfilling take out orders and also orders of people dining in. I love the variety of their menu and was happy with the pasta i chose! I added chicken to it and it was the shredded type, i wish it was grilled but whatever it was still good. The Hawaiian pizza was yummy but i wish it was bigger lol We'll come back so we can dine in.

Pitfire always hits the spot, but the seasonal jalapeño, pepperoni, and pineapple pizza was next-level good. The crust was perfectly charred, the pepperoni had that crispy curl, the pineapple was super fresh, and the jalapeños added the perfect kick without overpowering everything. It's that perfect sweet-spicy-savory combo. I also got the kale salad, and it was honestly one of the best kale salads I've had -- super fresh, great dressing, and the toppings actually bring flavor instead of just being filler. Light, crunchy, and a great balance with the pizza. Service was fast, everything came out hot, and the food was consistently great. Definitely recommend if you want something a little elevated but still casual and delicious.

Pizza was mediocre it had limited cheese. The pizza sauce was delicious and the crust was good. I won't be back, the pizza wasn't as good as it was years ago. The restaurant was spacious ,Great for family gatherings. Very casual; the restrooms were messy and needed cleaning.

Great tasting Pizza perfect. Fold perfect. Cook on the bottom

I want to say I have been driving by this place for years. OMG the pizza at this place has a great taste. The mozzarella is so fresh. Cooked perfectly the correct brown on the bottom and fold the ratio of meat and cheese is perfect. We were the first ones here in this place when they opened up the floor. Chairs and tables were extremely clean. Staff was friendly. Abundance is perfect for a group setting or even if you want to sit by yourself.

Pitfire Pizza continues to be a very solid option in LA, even when going gluten free. I tried the gluten-free sausage & ricotta and the gluten-free mushroom pizza, both were excellent, but the mushroom really stole the show. Deep flavor, well balanced, and thoughtfully put together. The crust was crispy and held up well, which isn't always a given with gluten-free pizza. Clean flavors and strong execution across the board, and a great option if you're looking for a gluten-free pie that doesn't feel like a compromise.

Been here twice now The pepperoni is our go to! We usually do takeout so we add a bit of hot honey when we get home and it tastes amazing! I've tried the buffalo boneless wings and i wasn't that big of a fan but my fiancé enjoyed them. The kale salad is good too but feels a bit pricey for what you get Nonetheless the pizza doesn't disappoint and we will be giving the pasta a try next time we go!

I'm also from San Francisco, and there's alot of artisanal pizza places-so I'm always purveying for artisanal pizza in the Los Angeles region to satisfy my pizza tooth. Pitfire Artisan Pizza is an answer to that. They make artisan pizzas in front of you. I ordered the Sausage Party Pizza and the Chicken and Mushroom Cavatappi. Both entrees were really good. The Sausage Party Pizza had some kind of balsamic glaze that I thought was on the sweet side, but overall the pizza was still very good. Maybe you could tell them to leave it out if you don't want your pizza too sweet. The crust is thin to medium size. The cavatappi was rich and buttery with big hunks of chicken and mushroom. They have vegan/vegetarian options for pizza, pasta, and sides, if you're not a meateater. The interiors are spacious and industrial/modern with lively music. They still have the alien graffiti art by Daniel Johnston. I've seen that alien for at least 15 years on their wall since I've been coming to Pitfire Artisan Pizza in Culver City since 2010. It's comforting to see it again after so many years. They have long tables for big groups. Service was good and prompt. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

Service here was great - friendly, prompt, and attentive but not overly so. Food came out fast and they refilled our fountain drinks without us having to ask. We ordered the buffalo wings and Zoe's pepperoni pizza. The server staged it nicely, wings first and pizza a bit after. The wings were decent, boneless but still with dark meat. The sauce flavor was good but the meat was a little stringy, and some were clumped together making the size of wings pretty uneven and cooked differently. Blue cheese was solid. The pizza didn't much flavor and under seasoned. First bite I took yanked the cheese off, I think they use mozzarella balls and the distribution was uneven, and it was a little coagulated. The bottom of pizza was dusty which is not my fave. To sum up, service was great with fun and friendly vibes - but the food was lackluster. If I came here again, would order one of the pizzas with more toppings to give it more flavor.

Pretty good! The dough was just a little too chewy for my taste and the crust a little too thick in the back. Sauce could have been spread a bit more evenly and closer to the crust - had a slice where it was not even remotely close. But flavors overall were good and we enjoyed our meal and the casual vibe. Parking lot is a bit small / tight and they always look busy whenever I drive by.

Love that they have other options besides pizzas including vegetable side dishes! The honey bear pizza was delicious. Also tried the spicy rigatoni alla vodka but would pass on this next time. Appreciate their prices too...many places charge $25 for the same pizzas which is insane

On super bowl Sunday in February 2026, our Epilepsy Foundation Los Angeles hosted a meeting with teens and parents for our Epilepsy Walk Los Angeles at the Pitfire Pizza location on Washington Blvd. Initially, I was coordinating with William Turnball, and then both William and Chris Isaacs (who was my point person onsite). Both were incredibly patient asking my trillion questions and making sure the event was going to be perfect for us - which it was! Thank you, Chris and Pitfire for making us feel so welcome on one of the busiest pizza days of the year! We loved making our own pizzas! And everything served from the menu (thank you, Chris, for the suggestions) was AMAZING!

Do you have a baby changing table?

    We do.

Is the honey bear spicy (asking for a 4 year old 😂)?

Hi BB, the Honey Bear has calabrian chili and chili flakes, but both can be removed for a spice-free version!

Do you still have pizza making days on Tuesdays?! If so, can you tell me more!?

Hi Melanie, we do pizza making parties by reservation only. You can reach out to Jake@pitfirepizza.com for inquiries! We look forward to hosting you soon.

Did they recently change the mozzarella cheese? I've been coming to Pitfire for years, and today the cheese tasted different.

Hi there, yes we did recently change our mozzarella to Grande, it’s a creamery in Wisconsin that uses no preservatives or additives and very high quality dairy. Did you like it? We appreciate the feedback!

Does this place have gluten free crust?

    Yes we do.

For our mains, we went with the Alejo's Shrimp al Diablo pasta, Chicken Piccata, Chicken Marsala, and the Pescatore. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. The ingredients don't seem like anything out of the ordinary but put together it was excellent. Good iced tea as well. As for the pizzas, what was shared with me was fine, if a touch greasy. The crust had great flavor - that kind of reads like a backhanded compliment, but I don't mean it that way...it's just that it was the best part of the pizza. The brunch crowd is quite a mix here of all ages (screaming toddlers ahoy) but it didn't end up being a detrimental aspect of the meal. There was a male server there this time. I asked for the same thing I got last time - a bianca slice. He was very confused, so I showed him a picture of the pizza that i ordered during my last visit as well as the receipt from that day. He said something about there not being a button for that, and I said, "I'm sorry, I didn't know it would be a problem because the lady from before made it look so easy." He "yeah, yeah, yeah'd" me and then muttered something else under his breath. Oook... So, the pizza comes out with a red sauce. He puts a lid on it, and as he's pinching the container closed, I mention how the Bianca isn't supposed to have a red sauce on it. He dismissively nods to what I've said, and starts to hand me the pizza. As I reach out to take the incorrectly made dish, I say, "actually, I don't like red sauce which is why I ordered a white pizza. Can I please get it without the sauce?" He gets visibly annoyed, says something under his breath, disappears into the kitchen, and they remake it. When the new pizza comes out, he literally tosses a plastic cover on it then points to it. Confused, I start to pinch it closed myself. For some reason, it's having trouble closing it and he just watches me struggle with it and doesn't offer to help. So I ask him to close it for me. He does it begrudgingly and he struggles to close it too, but by this time, I'm just glad that I can get out of there. Once I leave and try the pizza, it's a far cry from the pizza I had six days prior. Tasted completely different - it was missing the garlic. So, now, I completely understand why this place is never busy. Terrible service and inconsistent food. I still can't believe the way he threw the lid onto the container then pointed at it... One star for the pizza six days prior. As wonderful as the female server was during my previous visit, I'll never be back. Skip this one.
