Been going to Pita way since they opened their first location years ago in Clarkston. It's still a great option when in a crunch and want something quick and healthy. I feel the quality isn't like it used to be, but overall still a great choice over chipotle like places. Friendly staff and good vibes.

6/30/23 After getting picked up at the airport, I told Zach I needed to eat something since it was a long day of traveling to Michigan (I caught a red eye + had to do a 2 hour layover). As he was driving, I picked out Pita Way due to the high ratings. Pita Way is located in a plaza with other small, quick bite restaurants. We parked right in front. It's a small establishment with some tables for people to sit inside. The person helping us that day had a super strong accent so it was kinda hard to understand what he was saying. We originally wanted to order two gyro sandwiches, but after some back and forth, he ordered two lunchbox combos... Zach and I were confused as to how he got that and when he was ringing us up, we tried to clarify with him that we didn't want that...He insisted that was what we ordered so we gave us and paid for the lunchbox combos. Either he was new and untrained or just ignorant of what we were saying with no customer service skills. I can't remember what the meat was in the sandwiches, but it wasn't good compared to the Mediterranean food I've eaten back home in California. The chips in the lunchbox was brittle. The hummus was pretty good at least, but it was hard to tell if it was actually hand-made or if it came out of a container. Definitely wouldn't come back even if you paid me...

One of our friends suggested we try this place since it was quite similar to one of our favorite Mediterranean fast food spots - in Southfield. We decided to try it this weekend as we had to grab a quick lunch in this area. The place was clean and looked like a well kept Qdoba. We were 4 of us and I ordered the Sandweech with Gyro meat (made it the Pita way) ; my wife got the quesopita with Falafel; my kid got a kids meal with the dark meat chicken and my wifes cousin got a pita way bowl with dark meat chicken as well that comes with chipotle sauce. We also got a fire fries for the table and that was the best thing of all of what we ordered! Service was fast; the kitchen was clean and the meat was fresh and food quite tasty. I would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for a quick bite of healthy Mediterranean food

Bowl with lots of shish kafta, rice, fun veggies, garlic and two types of hummus.

I wanted to love it. I like that you can create your own bowl. I would not pick shish kafta again. Their shish kafta is odd. There is a hole in the middle of it. It's just not shish kafta the way I know and love it. It was a tad oddly spiced and off texture. It wasn't horrible or anything it just wasn't...good. The rest of my meal was great. A side fattoush salad with super zesty dressing. Happy, big portion and fantastic taste. All the choices and variety in my bowl, also awesome. I liked both hummuses and the garlic sauce. They were generous with portions on rice, meat sauce and veg. I just could not get past that kafta. Next time I'll try chicken.

I first had Pitaway at a luncheon at work about a month ago and absolutely loved it. I finally figured out where it was ordered from. It wasn't from this exact location, but I figure they'll all be just as delicious. Such a great experience from the moment I walked in today. Customer service was phenomenal. I wish I'd had asked his name. He let me try ingredients that I wasn't familiar with and I ended up liking majority of the recommendations. I did order the sandweech with falafel, shawarma and yummy veggies. The falafel is so delicious. This is definitely getting added to my new spot for healthy delicious spots.

-Pita Way Bowl with chicken/gyro meat with all the fixins. Garlic and pita bread on the side.

Delicious! I ordered a 50/50 chicken and gyromeat bowl with almost all the toppings. My bottom layer was yellow rice with shaved almonds and golden raisins followed by hummus, garlic, tabbouli, various pickled veggies, beets, feta, tzatziki, and topped with a spicy feta type sauce. Perfect for a quick lunch or even takeout as they serve the food in a heavy duty container that is ready to move. Excellent service as well. I would return tomorrow.

I've been here twice and both times I got the create your own quesopita. First, it's the main reason I came here. Second, the reviews are great. I haven't been here in a few months and may not return. I paid for my takeout order with a credit card. When I received my bank notification, a two dollar tip had been added without my knowledge. They do have a dining room, but my order didn't give me an option to mark it "for here," which added to the confusion. Despite the place not being busy, it took about 25 minutes to get my food. When it finally arrived, the grilled cheese was a miss. It was served on a flatbread and came out rock-hard--so tough it was barely edible--like it had been overcooked. The soup did arrive with it, but the overall meal didn't feel worth the wait. Customer service was another weak spot. There wasn't much guidance or engagement, which made the ordering process and the delay more frustrating. I had high hopes for Soup Dive, but this visit was disappointing. If you've got plenty of time for lunch, you might give it a try, but it's not a great option for a quick bite. I'd love to see improvements in the ordering flow, speed, and food quality--there's potential here, but it didn't come through on this visit.

They have a menu board with multiple options listed. You order at the stand at the back of the store, and then our food was brought out to us even though we had ordered it to go. I am not sure if that is always the process- I was expecting to go to the counter to pick it up myself so that was a nice surprise! We ordered our sandwiches to go even though we were dining in as we knew we would be taking home leftovers. The seating area inside is no frills. They have less than 10 tables inside, and when we were leaving all of them were full with people waiting for seats. They did appear to have 2 tables outside but they were not being used as it was raining. They did have a carafe full of ice water that was self serve by the door, and they had large cups available which I appreciated! My eyes were immediately drawn to the Spicy Chicken Caesar and the Napa Club. Since this was my first time I ordered both and planned to share half of each sandwich. When I opened the Spicy Chicken Caesar I was surprised by the appearance of it. I had expected a lot more lettuce inside. It looked more like chicken salad rather than salad with chicken. The flavor was good and it was not too spicy! The focaccia was very soft. The Napa Club had great flavor to it, but when I was eating it I could really tell that there was avocado inside of it. The predominant flavor was the garlic and herb aioli. I did feel the chicken was a touch on the dry side. Overall, my experience and food were good; however, I am not sure I agree with the rave reviews. I would return in the future and would love to try some of their other meats aside from chicken, and their pasta salad also looked nice. The service was friendly and I feel like the price was fair. It's a nice addition to downtown Farmington!

After graduating my girlfriend [now wife] and I would make it a point to try and eat at Matsu-Chan when in the area, even after our first kiddo, and eventually our second. Last year before one of our trips to the area my wife let me know that they were under new management and when I looked at the new menu, I was saddened that all of my favorite items were no longer present, and it seemed that my beloved little slice of Japan was now "just" a ramen shop. While my wife loves and can handle ramen and the broth, I would typically get the different rice bowls, or other entrees because while I love me some good ramen it doesn't work out well for me with the hour or so trip to the area. We'd get some rolls, takoyaki, and other appetizers to share around the table before digging into our main entrees. With the increased prices, and fewer options, I will end up going to any of the multitude of places [Aji-ten is usually our #2] to get my kick. I'll miss the little shop and the times I've had, like perusing the manga while waiting for a table. I wish the old owners the best, and the new management as well, especially if it was a familial transfer, but Matsu-Chan is not for me anymore. My wife will eventually get up there and let me know how it is, but for now, I'm just happy that a little bento shop opened near my workplace run by two first gen transplants, so I can at least get my fix without the drive.
