To top all of the warm fuzzy feels when you enter, the food and drinks are just amazing. They are certainly on the pricier end of cafes - so this is an important consideration. But I personally find they use quality and fresh ingredients. My family loves their pastries (both sweet and savoury). I tried their salted white matcha, which was so delicious. I'm a die hard fan of their strawberry cups and tiramisu. Honestly, some of the best tiramisu out there. So happy they opened another location because the Oshawa one can get quite busy. Very modern and bright with great service. Some unique fusion options but did a bowl with lamb and beef. The meat I found was a bit tough probably was on the spit too long. Great options to build your own bowl and good value for the money. I fine some other places serve too much food so the portion was good for me. Also the application of sauces was perfect - because I find other places put way too much sauce in their meals. So many local options but willing to try this place again.

Barg Wrap (Steak) Shawarma Plate…read more We stopped in today and ordered take out for lunch, after a friend had recommended this place to us. We spoke with the hostess and she was an absolute sweetheart. We did not know they have been around since 2008! However, there is new ownership this last year. I must say there's a reason people are recommending the food. There is free parking in behind the restaurant. The interior is cozy and has tables for dining in. We opted for a wrap and a plate; splitting both. The plate was loaded with rice, garlic sauce, hummus and lots of chicken shawarma. Topped with another sauce, this was the perfect combo. The meat was juicy and flavorful. There were multiple dressings to choose from for the salad. The Barg wrap was a steak wrap and my hubby commented on how tender the meat was. The wrap was an ok size and was a nice mix of veggies. All in all we had a solid experience and will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

My friends had the chicken saj wrap and they said it was full of flavour, with fresh veggies and sauces that complimented the meat well. The crispy chicken pieces on top was such a great add on. The bread was a great combination of soft and crispy. Atmosphere - 4/5 They went for a rustic look to combine with the classic shawarma place look. Has more seating than you would think. We grabbed this place upon seeing a picture of their garlic potatoes. Didn't order it on the first visit but also didn't need to because their portions are more than adequate. I'm usually a red meat person and my partner adores chicken. However, Shawarma Spot made us question our choices. I got the Donair and chicken mix over rice and my partner got the chicken over fries. The pieces of chicken are large, not typical shreds of chicken and the portion of meat was very generous. It's white meat and super juicy. The pieces of Donair were charred to perfection and the portion was also very generous. Their meats are marinated for 18 hours! After our first meal, my partner was hooked on the Donair and I continued to order the mix. We had to add the garlic potatoes though! Our most recent trip to this establishment was with family. We ordered the meal that served 4-5 and received two party trays worth of food. One tray included the rice, potatoes, fries, and topped with Donair and the other tray included salad with the garlic sauce and hummus. Had to get a small side of chicken so the family could try it. We recommend getting the harissa, really flavourful and has a kick to it. We were only able to finish half the food but had to save room for dessert. They offer roll ice cream by the other wall and the texture was on point. We love that the toppings are customizable and also their minis were large enough to share. Can't wait for our next trip here!

The setup is very similar to Subway where you go up to counter to order, pick your toppings, then you can sit down or take it to go. The food quality is excellent! Not a big menu, but still very good offering beef or chicken in either dish or sandwich format. They also have a number of appetizers and sides to choose from. In the end we tried both the Chicken Shawarma plate and the Beef Shawarma sandwich (or wrap). The beef sandwich was my favourite, added onions, lettuce, tomato, hot peppers, Tahini sauce and hot sauce, spectacular! Order it in a combo and you get regular fries and a drink. The chicken dish also came with Basmati rice, roasted potatoes (awesome), salad, hummus and pita bread. Garlic sauce and hot sauce on the chicken, again very good. Tried both the Falafel and Samosa appetizers. They were both very good, but I found them both a bit dry because the don't offer proper dips for them, like a mango chutney or something. Overall I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be going back!

Portions otherwise were large and a medium can feed 2-3 people depending on their appetite. I would like for them to have some salad or hummus on the side without paying for it. Otherwise the platter series does come with salad. But it is too much for me and a whole box full. Otherwise don't think i will come back to try their other items on the menu.
