My son and I went here looking to get more info on more "serious" RC cars than you get on Amazon…read more It's a little daunting because of the sheer volume of what you don't know about this hobby just starting out. Mostly all we knew was we were tired of spending money on junk to only have it breakdown in a week or so. First thing you notice when you pull up to the store is the racetrack painted in the parking lot complete with several ramps. Guess what? It's free to use! 24/7! We went inside and we met with Floyd ceiling RC cars, parts accessories everywhere! It was exciting to see just how far this rabbit hole could go! In another section of the store stem-centric toys (like science kits and build your own RC Lego cars) and another section is dedicated to 3-D printing. Still further in are three indoor tracks that you pay for time on. One is a super fast carpeted racetrack, and then there are two rock crawling tracks one for minis and one for regular cars. Dotted throughout the store are numerous arcade games that are free to play. All of that sounds awesome enough, but the friendly staff are amazingly knowledgeable and endlessly helpful. They don't make you feel like idiots for not knowing everything they do. They really are friendly and I've already spent a small fortune there!

They gave me some story about they're expecting a big shipment in, but it wasn't there so I don't recommend this business to do anything with 3D printing. They also have numerous boxes of their own brand of PLA filament that I wouldn't trust if you gave it to me for free. I think it'd be nice if you inform people who actually makes your filament because I know you don't. With friendly in your name I would've thought you would've been more friendly to your customer. I tried several times to make small talk with the people behind the counter and they had nothing to do with me. The person behind the counter told me that the business was sold to a new owner. I suspect it'll go out of business very soon. If the owner reads this, you need to train your staff a little bit more and how to deal with customers in a friendly way since it is in your name.

"Make your wonderful dream a reality, and it will become your truth!"…read more Pokémon what's not to love ! From the land of the rising sun we can all agree on this the Pokémon is in our hearts and minds. Weaved into our culture. The yellow Pikachu, the yellow electric rat so many ways to love him. This store is all things that are Pokémon. All the characters. In all their glory. This store is busy, so please be patient . You might have to wait to go inside. The staff is very calm and friendly. They are always helpful. They are knowledgeable about what they are dealing in. If you are looking to trade they will give you a great price. If you are looking for something from the past it's worth a look to see what that collection needs. All in all it's a great place to come and see pop culture fun.

Probably the worst shop in Vegas. The only good thing is they have a lot of inventory. The bad…read morething is they have a lot of inventory because they want people to pay 130-150% of market . My husband went in to buy Uta manga psa10 . Last sales were all around 720$ and a couple at 800$ . 800 was highest sale . My husband offered highest last sold at 800$ and they said no we are firm at 850+tax . Not willing to even sell at market or slightly higher . They want 50$ plus tax over market on a one piece card which is down right now on a card with low hype . It's not like Uta is going to skyrocket in the near future . This has consistently been our experience the last 5 or 6 times we have been here . Staff is also rude when you negotiate for market I would suggest going to the other shops in town who are more down to earth. I've never had a shop turn down highest last sale in a card . Even more so when last few sales where at 720 UPDATE : responding to the owners comments . We were looking at market live no one is sensitive to market changes . Instead of her being firm and hard on the sale she should know to go back and ask if they can sell it at 800. I know you would have taken 800 because that's slightly above market but your rep wasn't even willing to ask and that's the problem . We looked at comps together and both agreed the comps justify 800$ but she still chose to say no we are firm at 850 instead of asking someone higher up . This isn't the first time either . This would be about the 5-6 time we had a similar experience buying and selling . My husband did a review months back dealing with an issue similar when selling and considering multiple people hearted the comment , it shows he is not the only one experiencing this . Your staff should know to go ask if the comps make sense instead of putting up a brick wall and out of ego saying "no we are firm at 130% of market 2nd UPDATE!!! I attached photos of my conversation with owner on instagram via DM . Now I understand why the staff is the way they are . Rude , unprofessional, and even started to threaten a court of law nothing is edited out for full transparency of the experience you can expect from this owner and his staff .

My husband is a big Gundam fan, and while exploring the area, he found this amazing little shop just off the Strip. As soon as we walked in, I could tell he was in heaven--it was like watching a kid in a candy store! The shop had a fantastic variety of Gundam kits, including models from Japan and another section from China. The collection was so well-organized and fun to explore. While we were shopping, my husband noticed that some of the same kits he had purchased online before were priced about $15-$20 less elsewhere. But even knowing that, he didn't hesitate--he wanted to support this small, local business. That meant a lot to both of us, especially after learning the shop is backed by its own tight-knit community. "Locals supporting locals" is something we value. The staff were also genuinely kind and welcoming. I wish I remembered their names--they made the experience even more enjoyable. We ended up buying quite a few kits and were concerned about how we'd get them all back to San Francisco. Fortunately, they offered shipping, and everything arrived quickly and was packed with such great care. We also noticed they were selling some awesome shirts and learned that the artwork was created by one of their community members. The designs were so cool and creative that we decided to purchase a few. We actually came back for a second visit during our second trip to Vegas--and, of course, picked up even more Gundam kits and shirts. With recent tariffs being added to imports, we wouldn't be surprised if prices go up by the time we're back in August. So honestly, what we paid might end up being a deal! If you're a Gundam fan or just love supporting genuine, community-driven small businesses, Downtown Hobby 9 is absolutely worth a visit. We're already looking forward to stopping by again on our next trip--stay tuned!

Shopping in Las Vegas, Nevada…read more.. My mom and sister really enjoy shopping. I guess I like "looking" at merchandise. I don't NEED to buy anything... Unless there's something that is such a deal that I can't pass up. We like to go to Meadows Mall because of JCPenney and Dillard's - because we don't have either store in Honolulu. For years, I've passed by Brad's Toys and Collectables without really taking a look. We had some time because Dillard's doesn't open until noon. Location: upper level of the mall, between Dillard's and JCPenney When I entered the clean, spacious shop, I saw Hello Kitty right away - and other Sanrio characters such as Kuromi and My Melody. I also liked the Pikachu and Eevee plushies! There were many Funko Pop figures (I noticed many Harry Potter names) as well as Disney merchandise - like backpacks and purses. I didn't look through the posters, but I glanced at the pens and keychains... I kept thinking that my luggage was full already with purchases from IKEA and Trader Joe's (stores not in Honolulu)... uhg! It was noon - and time to go to Dillard's... I looked up Brad's Toys and Collectables and saw that they have an online store. Some prices are really good - I'll have to research the shipping options. When we were driving to our next destination, I saw another Brad's Toys and Collectables store. That's when I realized that there are many locations - I believe that there are six in Las Vegas. Gosh - if anyone needs a collectible or two, I'm sure that Brad's has it! Note: I went back the next day and asked about Line Friends and Cony. The friendly young gals at the counter said that they sold out when Comic Con was in town... Shucks!

Our friend suggested we try out R3 Hobby Arena because they had an awesome rock crawling area specifically designed for the axial 1/24 scale cars. WOW !! he wasn't kidding, they call it "the crawl space" and words and pictures don't do it justice! We had a blast! The whole place is very clean, even the restrooms! the people are very friendly and helpful especially for first timers like us. They provided plenty of places for us to charge our batteries and space to work on our crawlers. The best part was it was pay once and drive all day, no time limits. We took a break from crawling and went to check out the drifting area. It was very impressive and again everyone was very friendly, and again lots of space for working on cars and charging batteries. They even had an air compressor so you could blow off and clean your car if you needed to. While they are not a full on hobby store it looked like they did sell a few select parts and cars. They also offer monthly memberships and have competitions for drifting and crawling on a routine basis. So I guess we found our new place to crawl ! If you are a drifter or 1/24 scale crawler I highly recommend you check this place out!
