Enjoying a rocker and the view
    Jodi B.

Did a little offroading with the jeep. Came to the Inn for late lunch but it was after 3 so no luck. Mayb next trip .... Enjoyed the rockers in the breeze.

We were seated quickly even though we didn't have a reservation. The wait staff seemed to be on their game and tables were being turned quickly. There were no rookies in the the crowd. The host was friendly and professional. Everyone was working and teamwork was great. The portion sizes were a little disappointing but the quality made up the difference. The house salad was fresh and service was quick!

This is a wonderful place to take in the view. I would suggest you grab a chair and a drink and stay awhile.

We had the pup in tow so we were forced to sit outside on the patio where it was quite chilly. However, they offered us outdoor space heaters which kept us perfectly warm. Our server was super friendly and gave us great recommendations. I started with a cup of hot coffee but was quickly convinced to follow it up with a glass of red wine. I had to order the bolognese after recommendation from the server and it was fantastic. The pasta was al dente and the red sauce was tasty. I also tried the seasonal soup - the butternut squash, which was hearty and perfect on such a cold day. The egg salad sandwich was STACKED and topped with smoked salmon. Everything we tried was delicious - I'm sad to see they were impacted by Helene but hope to see them reopen soon!!

I love Spanish food and tapas. Curate delivers like no other place I have been. I love the open kitchen - it's awesome to see them prepare the delicious food! Ask for kitchen seating for an extra treat! One of the advantages of the smaller plates is they allow you to sample from a wide range of delights! We always get the boquerones - I love the way they prepare the fresh anchovies! We also had a cheese plate, with a selection of dry, ripe, and blue Spanish cheeses - all of which were excellent and presented with very complimentary sides - the pear and apricot compote with the blue cheese was a personal favorite! We also had the patatas bravas (fried potatoes), lamb skewers, oysters, grilled shrimp, and stuffed piquillo peppers. EVERYTHING was a delight. The wine list is also exceptional. I had a delicious albarino, and a txacolina rose that was outstanding. We finished with the Tarta de Queso - which was delicious. Tangy, and lightly sweet. A perfect end to a great meal! Not just one of my favorite restaurants in Asheville, but one of my favorites period. I love Curate!

For drinks - we got the sangria - which wasn't all that great. I paid a lot for ice. Next time - just get the wine. My husband also got a glass of vermouth - which he did like. For our meal - we got 1/2 order of the ham croquettes, 1/2 order of Chistorra & Chips José's Way, Gambas Al Ajillo, Patatas Bravas, and Pulpo a La Gallega. Our least fave was the gambas / shrimp. They were overcooked and had very little garlic. Dissapointed in the Chistorra b/c it was litearlly fried chorizo w/ maybe some chips in there? We enjoyed the potatoes and the ham croquettes. But sadly - nothing stood out to us that we "wanted" to go back.

It was elevated Southern cuisine, and we enjoyed it enough that we may go back before leaving the area. The restaurant has a comfortable feel -- upscale, but not stuffy. The service was excellent. The servers were personable and attentive without hovering. At one point, I accidentally dropped my napkin, and our server immediately brought me another one. Our water glasses were continually refilled, and our server checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. My partner and I liked so many things on the menu that we knew ordering soup, salad, an appetizer, and entrées would be too much. We told our server we were sharing, and for most of the courses, they divided the portions and brought them out on separate plates. That was another small touch that showed they were paying attention to detail. There wasn't anything we had that we wouldn't order again. We started with the seasonal soup, which was a tomato bisque, followed by the strawberry and feta salad. The country ham board was excellent and actually had me looking for Lusty Monk mustard the next day. For our main entrée, we shared the shrimp and grits, which was also delicious. Great food, thoughtful service, and a comfortable upscale atmosphere. This was the best meals we had in the area.

Delicious, but make sure you love ginger before ordering!

So, it's how it came to be. It's the main drag and was challenging on New Year's Day. Not sure if it's always like that or if it was because parking was free for the holiday and everyone was out and about. You'll have to figure out parking on your own because I left the rental a few blocks away in a spot that I wasn't going to give up to look for, hope and pray for another closer to the restaurant. Place was bustling. Counter was full. All tables were packed as they kept turning over as soon as parties were leaving. Service was friendly but like I mentioned, it was busy. Had to wave team members over a few times - but tended to immediately after. Never waiting so long that I would say it was bad. Between the two of us, we shared the brunch Hash and Creole Shrimp & Grits. See pics. Portion sizes look small but the pics aren't capturing how deep the dish went down. Enjoyed the hash as it's not something I eat regularly so it was like a treat. I liked the consistency and how well everything was prepared including the eggs - as ordered sunny side up. The Creole dish seemed not bland but muted. My expectation of anything Creole tends to be spicy and I don't mean hot. Not that it was bad but just for me, could have used a little more kick. It's been a few decades since the last time I was in Asheville. Times have definitely changed. This place is a nice addition and if you find yourself in the area, definitely check it out.

My fiancé took me here for my birthday, and I felt celebrated every step of the way. Our server Laura brought us a complimentary small bite before the meal and after dessert. It felt very fresh due to the farm to table nature of the restaraunt. We started with the cheddar biscuits, which were a hit. My short rib with polenta and roast veggies was delectable and a very generous portion! Finally, we ordered 1 dessert but they brought us a trio. I was wowed by the cheesecake and olive oil cake! I was in communication with Lindsay for over four months while exploring options for hosting my wedding dinner in their private dining space. Out of more than 10 venues and vendors we considered, she was the only one who consistently showed up with prompt, thoughtful, and genuinely kind communication. Every question I had--no matter how detailed or repetitive--was answered with patience and care. She made herself available through all my moments of uncertainty, which, as any out-of-state bride can attest, is invaluable. When we finally visited in person, Lindsay went above and beyond by accommodating us outside of regular scheduling. Her attentiveness and warmth never wavered. Planning a wedding from afar can feel overwhelming, but having someone like her in your corner brings a level of reassurance that cannot be overstated. Dinner itself was nothing short of exceptional. We were served by Tennille, who elevated the entire experience. She was engaging, knowledgeable, and incredibly personable. Every dish was presented with intention, and she took the time to walk us through ingredients , local farm sourced education and preparation in a way that made the meal feel curated and special. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guest experience--it shows in every interaction. After dinner, we visited their second location to explore their private dining options. There, we met Pierre, who matched the same level of service and hospitality. He went out of his way to not only show us the space, but also recommend local after-dinner spots that could enhance the overall experience for our bridal party. That level of thoughtfulness and big-picture thinking is rare. Bottom line: this team understands that they're not just serving food--they're creating experiences. If you're looking for a venue that delivers on service, communication, and unforgettable dining, this is it.
