They were doing a steady take away business and there are many tables outside to eat at. We went inside and the decor of the place is cool. Our server,Chip(Charles), was attentive and friendly. We all got the cod and chips which was delicious. Tartar sauce was good as were the mushy peas. We topped it off with ice cold beers and it was a fabulous lunch.

I have lived off Newland Avenue for the last 7 years and i've used this chippie from the off. Even though it has changed hands twice, you think the quality would be imparred somehow - but it actually hasnt. Even though the food is of course fried it never seems to be greasy. The staff are really friendly and they have various offers on. They also do donner kababs. A small fish and chips with mushy peas (which is just enough for me!) is around £2.50 and Chip Butties are around £1.50 And for anyone who does not know what a pattie iswell you just gotta try one!
