I was given a fair quote to have my transmission rebuilt, and after a week, I got my car back. Unfortunately, the vehicle has a strange swooshing sound, and after two days, I brought it back. I'm hoping it will get fixed. For the cost of car rentals and the price of the rebuild, I'm starting to think that the new transmission was the most cost-effective option. I just wish they had told me that from the get-go.

So I called a tow truck to tow my engine(mind you I was sitting outside with that and my car for nearly 5 hours not his fault) but when I got to him late and TIRED HE THREW AN EXTRA 1200 on the bill! Knowing I was vulnerable, and exhausted as a 4 "11" 114 pound female handling this BY MYSELF. (Yes he took advantage) I left the car even though for the price I could have stayed in queens/Long Island. Over the next few days I kept getting text to charge for more stuff. This guys headache. When I finally picked up the car, the check engine light was on, he did not put the sealant on the exhaust that connects to the engine, and tried to blame it on my previous exhaust ppl and had me running around. I have a mass airflow leak never had that b4 my engine swap. Luckily I took a video of my BMW because the back muffler was MISSING, and we argued back and forth and he said I brought the car to him like that. When I showed the video with the muffler on because I have two on bmw 535xi was the only time he admitted and went on the side of the shop to give it to me then I had to go and pay to have it put on even though he broke it. This GUY DOES NOT HAVE A SPECIFIC SHOP. He is not detailed and he has sooo many excuses and points fingers everywhere else for his mistakes. Good luck you guys again his ENGINE SWAP JOB IS NOT 1800, lol you have make sure your engine isn't in the car ITS $3000!!! And nothing else will be done on the car and you maybe missing a lot of other parts.

360 Mechanic Auto Repair gets 4.6 stars, rounded up to 5, for a pre-purchase inspection of a used…read morecar. I was happy with his services, but his advice could have been more definitive. But, you'd be safe getting a PPI from him. I was purchasing a used car at a dealership on a Sunday. I called him that morning, and same day he was able to come in the morning to do the inspection. He was a good communicator too. Good stuff. Overall, I am glad he looked at the car. It helped us negotiate $2,500 off the purchase price, and I knew which issues had to be addressed. I brought it to my mechanic in Jersey City the next day, who agreed with 360 Mechanic that the rotors, brake pads, and tires needed to be replaced. His inspection entailed looking under the car, running the computer, and checking the engine. He correctly identified that the car needed new brake pads, rotors, and tires. His computer did a pretty thorough report and identified issues. He told me it was a good car with issues that could be addressed. However, he did not give me advice I would have liked: yes or no, about whether I should buy the car. He seemed concerned about appearing neutral to the dealership. He told me the car needed $1,600 of work. There are more thorough pre-purchase inspections available. I had one done at a shop in New Jersey for another vehicle I was considering. They did a whole battery of tests and thoroughly looked at everything. 360 didn't do that and didn't jack up the car to look thoroughly at the underbody. I had expected that type of work and was a little disappointed. You can find some dedicated services online, but you need to schedule them in advance. If you are in the Bronx on a Sunday looking at a car, like I was, you should seriously consider 360 for a pre-purchase inspection.

He had is guys inspect the vehicle, and called me later in the day to give me a summary of the work that needed to be done, as well as the cost. He pointed out that there was, in addition to the transmission leak, a small oil leak that probably should be addressed. He wasn't pushy about getting the small oil leak done, which I appreciated because to me that's the sign of an honest mechanic - one who will tell you what's urgent and what isn't. I'm someone who used to work on his own car a lot, so I know when a mechanic is BS-ing me. But now I live in the city and don't have a garage - and I can tell you, their diagnosis was fair and completely accurate. He gave me a summary of the work order and cost for each issue and the work was done. I came in to pick up my car a few days later, and it was good as new. He took me over to the car, showed the locations of repair and summarized everything done. They even cleaned my engine bay for me! When it came time to pay, it was EXACTLY what they said it would be, no surprises. It was very reasonable in cost, and I would not hesitate at all to bring my car back there for any necessary repairs. Thanks Marty!

A minor inconvenience but the mobile mechanic is really good. Situation: car battery is dead How was it handled: Cameron did a classic check up in battery voltage and informed me of the basics, displayed great empathy and outreach to his customers. He took his time with my case to charge my battery which was really nice, which sort of gives a good implication why he had to reschedule me, since he worked later with another client. Price: $80, I tipped an extra 20, He accepts zelle if you don't have cash on hand. Would hire again: YES, before him, I called Honda for triple A dude to help me, but he said it was an electrical system problem in the car when it was just a low battery voltage. So yeah this guy has a better work ethic

Even…read morethough he was busy at the time he listened to the situation I was having with my car and gave me some feedback. He asked me to then text message him the cars information and my name and phone number. Jared was able to get to me the very next day after my phone call. He's really on top of things and that's so important here in the city with alternate side street parking. When we met the next morning he quickly got to work diagnosing the problem. I really didn't have a lot of information for him,one minute the car was working the next it wasn't. My son drove home from work at night with no incidents, noises, no trouble at all with the car. The next morning he went out and the car just wouldn't start. Jared has a mini garage in the back of his truck, he came out with all kinds of devices and computers and hooked them up to the car to find out what the problem was. He was really thorough, he went thru the car from top to bottom. He discussed with me that it was the starter that had gone on the car. He gave me a great price and even went himself to the store and purchased the part. He was super conscientious with costs, for parts and even said his go to first choice has a discount code so he can use the coupon. I thought that was really great! He really seem to go out of his way to try to keep everything reasonably priced. And believe me when it was all said & done the price was better than reasonably price, Jared worked all day and then some on my car. Jared brought a helper with him to work on the car,Manny, also very nice and friendly. They got to work right away. At one point Jared thought something else besides the starter might be wrong with the car. But after further investigation he let me know that everything was fine and it was just the starter. I really thought that was great, it's hard to find a really honest mechanic. When you're someone who has no mechanical knowledge at all you are just at the mercy of the people fixing the car. I thought that showed a lot of honesty on Jared's part, somebody else might've thought this girl doesn't know anything about this car and just told me anything and I would've believed it. After working all day the car was finished. This is a little car, 2008 convertible Mazda Miata. These men had to practically take the car apart to get to the starter, it really was a lot of work. These little cars they pack everything so tight under the hood. If I would've been in the garage paying by the hour they might've charged me double of what Jared did. But OH NO! it wasn't over...lol The car started once and then wouldn't start again. Jared and Manny must've spent an extra hour and a half or more looking into what went wrong. At one point I really felt bad, it was starting to get dark and I do understand sometimes when you fix one thing on a car it can put pressure on other older parts. He told me that he would continue to think about the car and get back to me right away. I told him I totally understood. About 20 minutes later my phone rings and it's Jared, he's got it! I go outside and there is the car running. He said he was just sitting in his truck going over everything in his mind. He just felt like he couldn't leave. And then bingo! I have to say Jared really went the extra mile to fix my car. And again I would've had to pay double of what Jared charged in the garage. And I know for a fact they wouldn't of felt the personal responsibility when something else went wrong. They would've just told me sometimes the new parts break the old parts... Will just have to give it another try tomorrow and charge me for every hour they spent looking. Not only did Jared sit out there for hours going over the car and what it could be he then did my oil while he was thinking... LOL and even gave me the container with the extra oil in it. I have found my permanent mechanic, and that's Crannic! And I will tell every person I know with a car Call Jared! PS... When the car was bought they did not give us the special tool to take the hubcap and tire off the car, they were not regular Lugnuts. Jared went and bought the kit in or did you take these tires off. When we were going over the price I said you forgot the price of the kit. Jared said don't worry about that, I paid for that, and I'm adding it to my tools so if I ever come across tires like that again I'll have them. I really thought that was great. Again a lot of other places/people would've charged you for it and then added it to their tools anyway. I really can't say enough about Jared, he was such a pleasure to deal with. In total we have two cars and a motorcycle and Jared is now our go to mechanic!
