It took a few months, but we got there. **Edit 2 (5/30/23) : Today the repair work was supposed to be completed. I heard from from Ron Dorris Electric this morning. They cancelled the visit to repair the roof. Repair and scheduling still pending. I also asked if I could schedule a visit on another, separate matter. The staff said no. The company is not scheduling appointments out with anyone at this time. *Edit 1: I heard from Ron Dorris Electric this morning. They scheduled a visit to repair the roof for 5/30/23. Repair pending. I began working with Ron Dorris Electric in mid-to-late 2022. At the beginning the work went well. In November 2022, I had Ron Dorris Electric install a new lateral drop from the road as well as a new solar-ready electrical box. In Spring 2023, this company's work began to fall apart. The mast connecting the lateral drop to my roof began to pull apart from the roof. Since noticing the issue, I contacted Ron Dorris Electric to alert them and request them to fix it. A roofer/electrician visited and informed me that Ron Dorris' installer should have applied supports to the mast given the height of the mast and the tension of the electrical drop wires. He stated the weight and tension of the electrical wires (without supports) caused the mast to pull of the roof. He said he would fix the problem that week, but when I returned from travel the problem still remained. I have called Ron Dorris and requested a timeline for completing the repair. I still do not have answer. Most calls, even if made around 9:00 a.m., go to an answering service. In the last month (three or four weeks) I have left three messages with the answering service but have not received a call back from those. My diligence helped me get through to someone last week, but I still do not have an update. Ron Dorris has an email address, but I haven't received a response to the two emails I submitted in the same period. All I want is to learn the timeline for correcting the poor workmanship. How long is it going to take to repair the roof and add supports? Will there be a cost to me if your staff complete work that should have been completed the first time? I can appreciate the company is busy, and I am thankful my electrical power still works. I have a hole if my roof, the rainy weather is continues, and I am merely looking for a timeline for completion.

Deflected and avoided professional accountability. 5. Deceptive practices resulting in unfair competition and consumer being taken advantage of. My experience in the building and design profession has taught me that doing business with certain individuals should be avoided. In the case of Ron Dorris Electric, this cannot be overstated.

Moeller Electric picked up the call on the first ring, and over the phone walked me through how to fix the alarm. It was very stressful, as the alarm was blaring in my ears while I was up on the ladder, but they stayed on the phone with me and walked me through it. They did not charge me for this. I am super thankful and grateful to them for helping me through a harrowing experience.

EDIT: This review has been modified in light of new information. Please read the whole thing…read more First off, let me say that their work may very well be top-notch, but I'll never know. Also, Derek seemed like a very nice and knowledgeable guy. This review stems completely from the poor service. I initially contacted another electrician who is prominent on Yelp requesting a quote. After months of being given the run-around by them, we finally got an appointment set up at 3pm on a day in December. So 3pm rolls around and instead of the electrician showing up, I get a call from Derek at Moeller. He says he was they referred me to him. Not at all Derek's fault. I told him I had an appointment for pretty much right now and he hopped in his truck and came over. So I had a very good impression of him at this point. We discuss a number of things I wanted done and he lists a few options. Very helpful. Then he takes down my info, says he'll email me the quote and we part ways. Three weeks go by and I still haven't heard anything. Now I feel like I've been blown off by two electricians. Although that is pretty unprofessional, I don't want to find another electrician and go through the whole thing again. Plus, I liked Derek well enough when we spoke. So I call him back. He remembers me and apologizes for dropping the ball. We confirm my email address again as well as the details of the quote and he says he'll get it out to me soon. EDIT: When I originally wrote this review, it had been a long while and I thought Derek had ignored my second request. Recently, however, I have spoken with him and it turns out he had sent out a quote following my second request in January - but sent it to the wrong email address. I did go to pains to make sure the correct address was supplied in both of the above cases, but I do accept that this was an honest mistake. So my only legitimate complaint can be about not receiving the initial December quote in a timely fashion. I have increased my rating to reflect that. I am glad that many other people have found Moeller Electric's work to be great and I would have liked to find that out, myself.

I have been in business for 25+ years and have hired hundreds of freelancers and contractors. The…read moreamazing experience I just had with Kirk Buckman at KB Electric puts him in the top 1% of the absolute best people I've ever hired. Read on and you'll see why: Three weeks before Christmas, the vintage 1970's Zinsco electric panel on our house shorted out. The power died and you could smell burnt insulation and smoke. PG&E came out fast to turn off the power and said "this is a major problem, it's unsafe and I've never seen one quite this bad. It's ready to cause a fire." That started my emergency search for an electrician who could get the work done before Christmas, in freezing weather and rain. Several people I called said "Too busy. Maybe next year." But my realtor Tim Johnson recommended Kirk Buckman, and he came out the same day I called him. Kirk saw the situation was a mess, and a major problem to untangle in an old house. But he and his brother understood the bad spot I was in (no power, no heat) and they took the job. The two of them worked overtime and in six days, completely rewired my house with new 200-amp service. Kirk got miraculous cooperation from PG&E and the county permit office. Frankly, I can't believe how hard and fast they both worked on this project. More important, they didn't cut any corners and the work was done right, correcting problems on a 40-year old house as they went and putting in the most modern panel available. Kirk was amazingly thorough, professional, and they didn't make a mess. A super-fast, clean, pro job. And it was fairly priced too. On a scale of 1-to-10, Kirk Buckman is a solid 15. Great work; above and beyond the usual. Very impressive. I'd hire him again anytime.
