I love everything about this restaurant, first if the service is comparable to more upscale restaurants I've been to, very attentive service every time. Had a nice dinner at this little Columbian & Peruvian place! The Sangria was a good start w little bits of diced fruit in it! And so was the Fried Calamari w marinara sauce. They also bring a little white garlic sauce & green, very spicy sauce on the side. We had the Chaufa Mixed Rice (a Peruvian style rice) w beef, chicken & shrimp. It was very good! The cassava & plantains were delicioso! Great selection of desserts, but their entree servings are enough to share, so we'll be back to try their signature rotisserie chicken and the desserts next time! read more

We came to try this place because we had a Groupon. It's in a strip mall so if we wouldn't have had the Groupon I would have never known that it was there. The place is very lovely, fancy and the staff dresses professionally. I had the fish Peruvian style ceviche and it was OK, expensive at almost $18. I found myself adding salt because it lacked a little flavor. Next I had the lomo saltado which was plentiful! I literally got 3 meals out of that dish. Very delicious. At first I thought it was overpriced but like I said, you could feed 3 people on that serving. My husband had the grilled steak with rice and plantains and devoured the whole thing. I think his cost $15 and it was worth that. I would go back but only get 1 dish to keep it economical. read more

Pio Pio is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the Horizons West area; they have a diverse menu, delicious food, and great service. I've ordered a number of items from their menu, and have yet to be disappointed! Guacamole is a staple for me at any Latin restaurant, and Pio Pio ranks high on the list of fresh and flavorful (Bonus: in place of tortilla chips, they use tostones as dippers!) Moving on to the entrees, the portions here are no joke and can easily be shared or provide lunch for the following day. Favorites of mine include their chicken soup (hearty enough to serve as an entree), the grilled chicken and the breaded pork chop. I ordered for pickup and they got the complete order wrong and I called back to see how we can sort things out. I asked 2 times if the bags were mine. They said yes so I took them. When I called to tell them the order was wrong they said "ok your order is here for pickup" and I said "The point was to avoid a delivery fee hence why It was pickup" and the manager says "you can either cancel it or come pick it up because I don't have enough delivery guys, I have a lot of tables to take care of" as if this is my fault and my money is worth nothing. So I told him "listen I understand that you don't have enough drivers, how can you compensate for the inconvenience" he says "you can cancel the order" then I said "wow and I'm baffled that you haven't apologized yet" and he goes "mhm". This location has no customer service nor respect. I would know, I've worked in retail and food service for years. Mistakes are made but I'm willing to look past them, they couldn't offer a simple apology. Worst part is THEY ASKED FOR THE FOOD BACK. THEY SERVE FOOD THAT COULD BE TAINTED. They have no manners or respect for anyone. Don't waste your money/gas/time here. This place doesn't deserve a star. They deserve to be shut down. read more

The staff look like chickens with their heads cut off. Reason why. I walk in the server asks me to take a seat and he will work on my table. They forget about me. No problem. I get a table. After my appetizer I was asked to move tables for a big party. No problem. Ordered the chicken empanada and was good. I had to ask for the sauces. Ordered steak with onions. Extremely well done and dry. I asked for medium. Got tres leches was ok. So the only reason I gave this place a 3 is because the manager was extremely nice to me and kept calling me by my name and they took the steak back and replaced it with chicken but I lost my appetite. They were giving better service to the tables next to me. My server flat out sucked! But my bill was $30. Bad experience! read more

My wife an I has been a recurrent customer at this restaurant since 2007. In the past we enjoined the food and courteous waitresses. Today we were hoping for a good dinner an the courteous service that we were use to. A very nice young lady asked us to wait while she will get us a table. This person jumped up and in a rough Manet directed her to wait other table. He allowed another couple that were not in line to seat first. We were seated next and other couple were seated too. He proceeded to provide Menu to the other tables except us. After few minutes we have for the menu ask why he was ignored us he was rough in his answers and treated us like we were asking for free meal. I normally just get a chicken meal, but one of our party got the whole fried fish platter, and it was incredible. Horrible Peruvian food. I ordered the Peruvian ceviche it was not fresh nor authentic the choclo was dry, the fish appeared to be from the day before it had no flavor or leche de Tigre. Over price for what ever it was, but I have to say the waitress was very nice. The only thing that was good was the Inca Cola. Pio Pio is great! We loved the sauces it started with and the little empanadas. However the main delicious part about this place is their chicken. It's moist, tender, and seasoned just right. When it came to the sides, it was a real let down with their rice, beans, and plantains. Found them all to be dry and flavorless. Don't go here! The service is horrible and then they add gratuity to your check. Our server barely acknowledged us, The food was just okay, cold by the time we got it at our table though. It is just terrible that they add 25% gratuity after such loser service. We were there nearly 2 hours, mostly waiting on our server who knew her tip was guaranteed. read more

Excellent rostessterie chicken is the staple here and it shows. The chicken was cooked perfectly with a slight charred skin that was packed with flavor. The 1/2 chicken order with yucca, beans and rice was plenty of food for someone to feast and take home for later. Nice atmosphere and our server was great. Our meals were good but lose stars because the rice was awful. Made and kept in a rice cooker not in an actual pot gives the rice a mashed potato feel. Not good. And for the prices they should at least give complimentary bread. read more

Loved it!!! Unfortunately we are limited to only 5 stars...great food, great service, and not over priced. Our server, Marie, and the management made sure we were happy with our orders. We did not have to wait and our glasses were refreshed without having to ask. Our dinners were served hot, not warm or cold. The desserts were tasty and the espresso excellent. This was our first experience at Pio Pio and we will be back after Wednesday night's dinner experience. Very refreshing to find a nice, well run restaurant to treat your family. read more
