This is absolutely the best Peruvian restaurant in town. It's a bit out of the way for me but the drive is totally worth it. First off, get the house sangria. In fact, order a pitcher for the table then, shortly thereafter, order the second one. Trust me your friends and family will thank you. How's the food? I'm glad you asked. In one culinary food network adjective - magnificent. Start with the tostones and guacamole appetizer- always a crown pleaser. The ceviche, any of the different varieties, is bangin'! For the main entree I always get the Bandeja Paisa; OMG!! What doesn't this plate offer, churrasco, over easy egg over rice, beans, sausage, arepa, avocado, and tosino. Can't go wrong. If you haven't tried it, you need to. And if you have, keep enjoying. read more

Restaurant was empty and the workers were watching the soccer game which I don't mind if you put effort into people's orders. I ordered a chaufa de pollo yesterday, it was horrible absolutely no taste whatsoever and the eggs they put in were burned to a crisp. For such a simple recipe and order. I wouldn't recommend at all. No one ate it as it had no flavor. read more

I walked into this restaurant while they were emptying their grease trap and working on the sewer at the same time they were preparing food and serving customer. I couldn't believe food was still being prepared under those conditions. On top of that, the customer service was terrible. The staff was dismissive and unprofessional, which only made the experience worse. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this restaurant based on my experience. They should really consider doing it while the restaurant is closed not while they are preparing food And feeding it to the customers. That's just unsanitary. read more

It was our first time visiting this location. The restaurant was clean. The service was ok, our server barely came to check on us. We had to capture her attention several times to ask for sauces and drinks. The food was good, however the beans lacked seasoning. The steak that came in the steak strip dish was dry. All other items and dishes we ordered were delicious. read more

My brother in law brought us here for dinner. It's a favorite spot of theirs. We ordered 3 of the whole fried Red Snappers split between 3 couples. One fish per couple was perfect. The snapper was amazing! You could really tell it was fresh. All that was left was a pile of fish bones! Service was fantastic. Will definitely be returning. read more

The pio pio in Ocoee employees are rude. If you don't speak Spanish, they walk away from you mid sentence. that is not respect in my book. service is not what it used to be and the lack of respect makes you not back to this restaurant. read more

We have tried their other locations and saw that this one was able to deliver via Uber and decided to give them a try. It sure hit the spot! The food tasted as good as the other locations and it came out warm! We ordered the grilled chicken breast, the grilled steak and the breaded steak. I paid for extra sauces and I did not get them, which was a bummer since we love them! Next time, we need to pay them a visit. read more

Great for my husband. He said the chicken was well prepared and flavorful. As a vegetarian, I would have liked more non meat options but rice and beans can be a vibe. They were very satisfying. Small ish location but convenient to our house. read more

I have never had a poor experience or poor food from this location! My friend and I were supposed to be going somewhere else for dinner but due to work related challenges we had to adjust our plans and decided to come to pio pio. We were able to be seated right away without a reservation at 6 PM on a Friday night. They have such an extensive menu and there really is a little bit for everyone. We opted to start with the tostones and guacamole as well as the Spanish sausage with corn cake. The Spanish sausage was amazing! It had such a nice crisp on the exterior that you got that pop when you took a bite of it. The tostones and guacamole were delicious as well. I'm not a huge plantains fan but the way these were fried and the spiciness of the guacamole was out of this world. Definitely something I would come and just put as a mobile order to pick up and take home to eat. My friend opted for the quarter chicken with rice, beans and cassava. I opted for the strips of grilled steak and chicken with rice, beans and cassava. Again meat is perfectly cooked chicken is perfectly cooked perfectly seasoned and just absolutely amazing. They are located in a strip mall by a Publix. So there's a huge parking lot so plenty of parking is available. it is a quaint little place although I have seen it accommodate larger groups anywhere between 6 to 8 people. But it does get small and tight once it is full as it started getting much busier around 730. read more

Beautiful artistic restaurant, seems to be brand new. The waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. Gorgeous colorful wall mural likes hand painted just makes the place exude with fun vibes. The ceviche we ordered was perfect and I was smart to order 2 of the plantains so that I could take some home for later . This is a beautiful place to go with a friend or big party as they have all kinds of seating arrangements. Highly recommended. read more

Family friendly and something for everyone! We enjoy Pio Pio for dinner once or twice a month with the family. The chicken is good as well as the sauces. My husband really enjoys their house soup. Last night we got the grilled chicken with onions and it was excellent. The calamari and guacamole appetizers are one of our favorites. I think their prices recently had an increase, but the food is still solid! read more

This location is TERRIBLE! Go to the Precision Dr. location as its far better and has a great owner. This location has soup with barely anything in it, empanadas are purchased from the publix next door, the chicken tastes like nothing special and I have heard they are watering down their sauces. The owner has been seen to get out of control and yell at customers. He seems to have come across rough financial times and it's unfortunate he has been putting his anger out in the restaurant and cutting corners with food. read more

Pio Pio is consistently good. They have the juiciest most flavorful rotisserie chicken. Their sides are good as well- rice and beans and plantains specifically. The staff was attentive and friendly. PioPio Ocoee which is located in the Publix shopping center on Maguire road at the edge of the town of Windermere is a fantastic restaurant ! I arrived early for dinner and was in a rush . As soon as the waiter approached I ordered immediately . He was great, so nice and brought the food really fast. I had Skirt Steak, rice and beans and plantains. All delicious. The rice was especially good, it was moist and not over cooked. When I added their sauce to it, wow, DELICIOUS! The dinner came with three sauces garlic sauce, jalapeño sauce (flavorful but not too hot) and chimichurri. I could not stop eating, everything was so delicious! read more

I like the place for its authenticity, good food and prompt service! Family dinner here tonight, we shared the famous chicarron (fried pork skin), which at only $6.35 was delicious! I went for breaded steak, which came with rice and beans with a choice of green plantains, and fried yucca (in the menu as cassava). Plate was only $17.25 and could barely finish it! Rotisserie chicken, plantains and saffron rice - oh my! Really like this chain restaurant that feels like a local. The atmosphere is casual and the service friendly and prompt. The Peruvian menu has many yummy choices. My husband's favorite is Chaufa rice which is essentially fried rice with additional spices like ginger. This time he tried the salmon. Basic grilled salmon. It better when you add the ranch-like dressing. Came with vegetables (frozen) and rice. He also had a delicious salad with fresh, crispy lettuce, big pieces of tomato and cucumber. Same Ranch d I always get the whole rotisserie chicken and take the leftovers home. It is always perfectly done and juicy. I add saffron rice and green plantains as sides. I always get the lemonade which is a slushy version and so fresh. The place is fairly small with about 20 tables. Does a strong takeout business as well. This one is on our shortlist for regular visits. For my Low FODMAP friends, this restaurant can be a little treacherous as it is hard to avoid garlic (in the roasted vegetables) or onion (in saffron rice and on chicken skin). Noticed that I can order white rice which is a viable side. They also have roared small yellow potatoes or French fries which are viable sides. Happy eating! read more

Before moving to Florida my wife and I were very frequent visitors to PioPio #1 in Rego Park and PioPio #2 in Jackson Heights New York. We could never get enough of their Pollo a la Brasa and the green pepper and white garlic sauces that came with it. Sadly, when we moved to Florida we thought we would never have that experience again! Boy were we wrong!!!! I discovered the Pio Pio location in Ocoee by accident and oh boy were we not disappointed. The food brought us right back to Jackson Heights.. The chicken was moist and tender, the maduros were sweet and fried just right. Even the beans and rice were good... but the star of the show was the green sauce. Oh did I miss the green sauce.. We spoke to the waitress who told me that the owners are related to the owners in NY... we told her how much we missed the food and we were so happy we found the restaurant. She was so sweet and made sure we left with some green and white sauce and a free dessert.. So happy to have found this restaurant... Cant wait for my next visit!!! read more

Wow! I read reviews for this place and was hoping the good ones held true for my experience. The place is clean and has a contemporary setting with paintings to represent the Latino culture. The energy of this place is warm and cozy. I imagine that it will be much more lively in the evenings during dinner rush. Prior to Covid this places seems to us cloth tables covers which speaks volumes about the intent of the owner. Most places it's just a table that gets wiped down for the next customers. Not this place, instead of the cloth which is still on the tables they have added sheets to cover the cloth and table. So no worries about making a mess the y will replace it with a new sheet. The utensils are noticeably different and clearly there for specific purpose. I have yet to see restaurants do this. As for the food, when it is ordered it is quickly put together. Believe me when I say, I am pretty certain they have a garden in the back that they pick the produce from. A lot of effort has gone into the avocados and cilantro just to name a few being fresh. Not turning brown or barely ripe, that perfect freshness that Michelin rated restaurants are known for. The same can be applied for the meats, rice and even the beans. I've eaten in many places around the world and in lots of parts of Orlando so I would strongly recommend you make this place a staple of your places to eat when dinning out. My father is a harsh critic and even he couldn't stop eating. Portions are fair but the flavor and freshness is what you're paying for. You're looking at plates in the low $20's. Servers are attentive, thoughtful, and their uniforms are what you would expect from a high class establishment. This place is a hidden gem. I hope they are here to stay for a long time and that they take very good care of their staff. I watched as people came in to get takeout orders or to place them and they were in and out fast. So call ahead at least 15 minutes for take out. Or make a reservation. I'll be returning to this place with my family. read more

Heard good things about their food so we decided to give them a try. Not much of a quality restaurant feel as you can see from the pictures, felt more of an upscale fast food joint. Service was prompt but there weren't many customers, it was a Sunday night. The server was a bit pushy on items to order, seemed and felt like he wanted us to order more food. We started with two glasses of their house Cab, healthy house pour and it was delicious. We ordered the Pork Skin-Chicharrón appetizer, it was really good, not too crunchy, (wouldn't want to break a molar on those things) meaty enough with delicious seasoning and just the right amount of pig fat to savor it all. I ordered their half chicken, it came pipping hot with a delicious savory skin and perfectly moist meat. My wife ordered the fried Red Snapper (market price was $26.00) definitely the best of what we ordered, just phenomenally delicious, cooked to perfection, will definitely order again. 3 stars for the ambiance and the server, otherwise an easy 4 stars teetering on 5 for their food, and isn't that what it's all about? read more

I brought a Groupon for this location for $12 for $20 for 2 or more. You most def spend more than $20 First, we had Calamari which was fresh, juicy, fried crispy, and a good size rings & portion size. We didn't care for the marinara sauce but dip them in the garlic and green spicy sauce they have and it was so good! We all ordered the 1/4 chicken combo which includes beans and rice. The food is seasoned well and the rice flavorful and fluffy. However, I felt I was served soup for beans it was so much juice in the cup and 2 tbsp of beans. I mentioned it to the server but she said that's how it comes! WTH! I feel like the oneon international drive give you more food and provide better customer service. Overall this place is a little pricey for Rotisserie Chicken and beans. However it's worth it if you have a Groupon or catch a lunch special. The service at this location is mediocre bc I have interacted with about 6 servers and 2 of them have been good. read more

Amazing!!! The food, Service... The chicken have good flavor. I'm just of vacation in Orlando. Recommend

I did not realize that there was a Pio Pio on Maguire. It is located where Matthew's Steakhouse used to be. This location is smaller and more comfortable. My husband I started with Tostones with Guacamole ($10.59), Beef Empanadas ($4.50) and Chicken Empanadas. ($4.50) all of the appetizers were freshly made and delicious. The guacamole was the best in the area and the tostones were very thin and crispy with great flavor. The chicken empanadas were my favorite because they were a little more juicy over the beef. The beef was dry and needed as little more garlic sauce. For entrees we both ordered the skirt steak with sweet plantains, rice and beans. ($40.75) The steak was cooked perfectly and with the added chimichurri it was outstanding. We ordered an additional side of fries and this messed up our order. The kitchen assumed that the fries were replacing one of the entrees order of the the sweet plantains. The fries were cold and had thin slices of dried out kielbasa in it so we sent it back and hot fresh fries without the kielbasa appeared. The sweet plantains that went with the entree never made it to the table. For dessert we ordered coffee, flan and tres leches. The coffee was cold but both desserts were good. read more

This is a welcomed surprise right here in Winter Garden. This quaint and mysterious place is nestled in the Publix shopping center on Maguire. They have intent seating, small bar, and a soothing atmosphere. I noticed there was a lot of take out. They had orders lined up as patrons came in consistently picking up orders. I ordered the garlic shrimp! It was so good. Nice portion, really good flavor! The Sangria was really nice as well. Tiny slivers of fruit and a real deal Sangria taste! Pio Pio Ocoee - Shrimp Sauteed with Garlic - Peruvian Near Me - Ocoee, Florida

Pio Pio is a must for dinner when I am staying in the Winter Garden area. This Peruvian food is the best I've ever had. From the tostones with spicy guacamole to the chicken, red beans and rice everything is delicious. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. The white sauce and green sauce make everything that's already amazing taste even better. The chicken empanadas are a sooooooo good. Try the sangria too! read more

Incredible food! We went in for a quick lunch, just wanted a small bite and boy were we blown away. We got the empanadas, which I would say are pretty traditional. And we got the picada platter which filled the 4 of us all the way up. Staff was great! Ambiance at lunch was nice and quiet and felt great to get out of the heat for a minute. The restaurant is very nice on the inside, I felt a bit underdressed. But overall I highly recommend. read more

Stunned by the amazing flavors and spicy sauces we encountered here! We started with the Peruvian Ceviche which is $18, BUT is an appetizer that can easily ( and most definitely should) be shared by 3-4 adults. We chose the " spicy" option which included bits of sunny habanero sprinkled through the citrus juice, white fish, onion, garlic, red onions and cilantro-c'est magnifique! (Yes, I can exclaim in French about great Peruvian food!). This dish also includes fried corn and sweet potatoes and those were uniquely delish and didn't make sense to us American diners- but our lust for food prevailed and consumption ensued! CHICKEN is king here, hence the name Pio Pio! I had to use all caps because my husband had this special meat plate with fried pork, skirt steak, and sausage and though the flavors of these were all very good, none could compare to the divine savory spicy flavors of the succulent bird that arrived on my plate! We always joke that he picks the best dishes on the menu, but tonight I claimed victory! Seriously, you must order the rotisserie chicken and as other Yelpers have recommended, get the half, not the quarter- you can always box up any leftovers and enjoy them later! Most entrees come with rice and beans. The rice is good, but the beans are extraordinary! If you add a little of the jalapeño sauce (one of two they bring to each table at the start of your meal), you will lick the bowl clean, I swear it! Most dishes come with fried plantains and because this girl's body rebels against fried foods, I ask for help and the server was happy to offer alternatives like salad and yucca. My salad arrived before the meal and it was fresh and huge! We had no room for dessert as we were already boxing up half of our dinner to take home, so we ordered Flan and Tres Leches to go-will update on those later. I am thrilled to have such yummy cuisine in our neighborhood. The service here, BTW- stellar! The young man waiting on us was from Columbia and was very good at explaining all the dishes and made great suggestions. There was always someone stopping by to bring us more iced tea or Diet Coke. Other diners were having what looked to be some tasty sangria but alas, no me gusta sangria :-) So there are adult beverages and lots of fun fruit juices like blackberry and mango that you can order separately. read more

Authentic Peruvian restaurant. Good service and awesome food. Pescado a lo macho is a must. To drink? Cristal beer.

Delicious Peruvian food! Their routisserie chicken is so tasty, so much flavor. Their rice is great. The empanadas are AMAZING! Highly recommend getting more than 1 empanada! They also serve their food with this amazing white and green sauce. The white sauce is garlic based and the green is cilantro base. They both are perfect, but the green is out of this world. This latest location in the Pio Pio chain takes over a nice space in the Publix shopping center that was previously a mediocre BBQ place. Pio Pio is much better. I love their rotisserie chicken, which always has a delicious golden brown crust. It comes with rice, beans, and plantains. The quarter chicken is surprisingly small, so you may want to get the half chicken. Both are very reasonably priced. Not so reasonably priced, but also delicious, is the ceviche ($18). It's a Peruvian style ceviche, (which is a bit confusing since the restaurant is often listed as Colombian). The Mixto version combines raw white fish and cooked shrimp with onions and lots of lime juice. It's served with the traditional mutant(!) corn, and also cracked corn kernels. Service was excellent. By the way, they also have whole rotisserie chickens to go at very reasonable prices. They're way better than the ones next door at Publix. read more
