Came in looking to purchase some craft items and had very friendly service. Looked like a fun spot for birthdays.

We booked a premium, full-service package for a team-building afternoon, but instead of relaxing, my team spent the entire time stressing, moving boxes, and cleaning up after the staff we hired. We aren't trying to be difficult clients; we simply wanted the service we paid for. Instead, we faced a massive burden: The setup was chaotic and late: For a group our size, the policy is a 40-80 minute setup window. The facilitator didn't show up until 1:33 PM for a 2:00 PM start. Her assistant didn't arrive until after the event started. We were left watching the clock, wondering if our event was even going to happen. We had to manage their logistics: The assistant arrived late and without ID. Since we are in a secure office building, she couldn't get in. Instead of the vendor handling this, my team had to stop what they were doing, leave the event space, and go down to the lobby to retrieve her and haul up the supplies she was carrying. Dismissive attitude: Mistakes happen, but the facilitator's attitude made it worse. She was dismissive about being late and shockingly unhelpful regarding her own assistant's supplies. At one point, when asked about the materials her assistant brought, she refused to help, telling us she "couldn't hang onto that." It felt like we were imposing on her, rather than the other way around. My team did the physical labor: Because they were so behind, the setup wasn't done until 2:30 PM--30 minutes into our paid time. To save the event, my colleagues and I had to step in and physically unpack boxes, set up stations, and distribute materials. We paid for a full-service event but ended up doing the heavy lifting ourselves. Contract issues: We paid extra for the "all new supplies" option so our team could keep their materials. Despite this, the facilitator packed up and took many of the paints and brushes back with her. They walked out on the mess: Despite the event starting late due to their tardiness, the facilitator refused to stay a minute past 4:00 PM. She started aggressively cleaning up while people were still painting, then bolted out the door right at 4:00, leaving us to finish the cleanup and break down the boxes. I cannot recommend this vendor. We paid for a fun, stress-free afternoon and instead received a chaotic experience where we had to work as the setup and cleanup crew.

The owner was funny, and we enjoyed listening to his little anecdotes. Since it was our first time, the owner shared little tips with us (ex: paint 3 coats, paint light colors before darker colors, etc.) which was so helpful. I will say the entire session is quite affordable compared to other pottery painting studios. There is no studio/sitting fee, and all the pieces are reasonably priced. I highly recommend a pottery painting session for those who are looking for a nice and therapeutic indoor activity, or who are looking for a good time :) I'm super excited to see how my mugs and the colors transformed after it's been glazed! Note: - You'll need to stop by a week or so later to pick up your completed and glazed art. - They have 2 locations, one in Tenafly and another in Ridgewood. - You can make a reservation online for Ridgewood, but I believe you'll need to call/text for reservations at Tenafly.

When we came to pick it up the location had closed with no notice. It is now 11 months later and we have yet to receive our pieces. None of the phone numbers work, no one is ever there. No one ever answers calls or texts. Don't go here unless you never actually want to take your piece home. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional.

We are not experienced party planners, and Maria was a great resource to help us explore our ideas and improve on them. She went along with any decision we made, but helped accent our floral arrangements with her large supply of party decorations, and helpfully offered to assist us with coffee service when we didn't arrange for coffee with our caterer. The sound system was very easy to use and sounded great. Our guests raved about the cozy, historic space - it was just right for our family. Thank you, Maria and WCE! CONS: Maria and her husband are rude and nasty. The week of the event, Maria started to give me a difficult time regarding my set-up, decor, caters, etc. She offers to lend you decor but then gives you a difficult time to set it up the way you want. Maria wanted to be in control of my daughters sweet 16 the entire time. She was overbearing with my servers, family and everyone who was assisting. The DJ arrived and set up, he had the music loud, if you are in the music business, when doing sound check the volume is high to equalize everything, the DJ had just turned on the music & it had not even played for 10 seconds, before she came RUNNING across the room, up the stairs to the stage to YELL @ my DJ in front of other vendors. Maria, had to constantly put her 2 cents in about how I was setting up, the layout, the food etc. She even said to me I was all over the place with my ideas... I WAS NOT because EVERYONE was AMAZED at how BEAUTIFUL my decor came out. She repeatedly stated she had 23 yrs of experience & I didn't. I don't want to say it's a racial thing.... however, when she asked about where I was catering my food, i answered her with it's going to be Spanish food, Maria NEEDED to know where, what town and how much I was spending, she proceeded to say she always has Dominican parties there and always eats Moro, Pernil etc. I'm not Dominican... and nothing against DR. Bc my children are half Puerto Rican and Half Dominican. But the amt of times she mentioned it, was pretty offensive. I ordered from balloon world the balloon arch for the party. She asked where and how much. Then told me I could do it myself. I expressed I had enough on my plate, she then said I paid too much money. I actually didn't!! I got a GREAT DEAL. I sent her a text message the night prior expressing my concern for the hall being dirty &the bathrooms being filthy! She DIDNT RESPOND. I sent a follow up text to be told it was "taken care of and she was in a meeting". Well not only was the bathroom still dirty and not cleaned. My guest noticed and complained to me. HOW EMBARRASSING!!! Little did Maria know there were a few very known individuals from the Spanish entertainment industry. One of the individuals who has 5 Grammys & 4 others who work at the radio station. She told me she had cleaned....... I wonder what defines as clean! The sink had hair in it, and a thick layer of dust. I literally ran my finger on the sink and saw the dust on my index finger!! Maria wanted me to rent the tablecloths from her. When I told her I was going to purchase them, she proceeded to tell me that Amazon has bad quality tablecloths & that hers are better. Proceeded to tell me that at a prior event the party had issues bc the chair covers came in broken... she would say anything just to get you to rent from her. I did not rent anything!!!! I bought it so I can reuse it! When we were setting up, Maria told me to plug in my phone so I can hear any music I want. As my sister in law, who does floral arrangements was setting up, Maria CONTINUOUSLY put classical music. My sister in law would shut it off, as she was the one in the room setting up the floral arrangements. Maria was upstairs. She proceeded to tell my SIL that classical music is very good music. Nobody is disagreeing. However, if I paid for that time to set up & I was told I could put 'MY MUSIC, why was she imposing her classical music on us?? Maria was OVERBEARING TO SAY THE LEAST!! Her husband closed the door as we were bringing boxes in to set up, I asked why he would close the door as we are bringing in boxes and in a VERY RUDE tone he told us, we needed to MOVE FASTER. I honestly really wanted to love everything about this place. If Maria was NOT the person in charge, I would definitely rent the venue again. Unfortunately, she runs the events & I will NEVER rent this venue again.
