Friendly staff. Women owned. They remind me of my Filipino in laws and friends/their family lol. I tried the 2 item combo which came with rice and two entrees. They give a generous amount. I will definitely come back to try the lumpia and Turon when I am not tryna cut haha. The business also is built into a grocery store so you can even shop for other essentials. Ambiance was chill. Whoever handled the playlist catered to anyone who loves to karaoke and dance IYKYK ! Lol

Our def atf go-to spot when we're both in town in Lake Forest. We like to come here to fill our Filipino craving --and they even sell Porto's danishes in boxes along with Pam's own baked goods and pastries. We always get the ube jam bread that's absolutely phenomenal! Our faves are the pancit bihon, lumpia Shanghai and we literally LUV her pork sisig that's over-the-top delish! ***** 5 stars also because she has fridges at the back of the grocery store section where there's a collection of super yummy ice cream with flavors like ube, mango and buko pandan....but most are only in gigantic Costco sizes.

Brand NEW! Cheese Rolls. These RIVAL Porto's Cheese & Guava Rolls. Better cream cheese. These will make you the most popular @ work.

Sooooo.... Reading over these reviews.... I get a strong sense that the low ratings are an effort to just be ridiculous. If people writing these posts cannot even write Tagalog or English... I doubt the authenticity. I have been coming to this place since they were at the mall. They have done all kinds of upgrades to the building. They have also made great strides in food supplies and vendors. It's cafeteria style - waiting in line like EVERYONE else. It's busy. Hold your horses. Wait in line. They have great new tables, a grocery store on the side.... Just be sure to grocery shop and bring it with you to the food line. Yes the food is not junk food cheap. It's not McDonald's it not Taco Bell....if buying huge cute of slow cooked beef.... scares you... be sure to thank the ones who brought these new prices. It's probably my fav place because if I get large containers I have food for weeks. I'm a huge fan of their sisig and crispy Chicharron. I love the ox tail singigon (?) sinigong soup. And a few others. The staff are fun and friendly. Try a smile and hello. Oooooh. Their macaroni salad is bonkers delicious. I'm not Filipino but I just love it. Absolutely love it. The variety of chippy chips are great. The tosino is homemade. Their BALUIT is full on chicken goodness - if you like that. I think they even sold century eggs before. My genuine opinion as a non Filipino person is that at its lowest rating - a 4 star should be the lowest. My experience is always good. They crip up my calamari every single time.... Use that spicy Cebu style vinegar- HEAVEN! No. I never bought the roasted suckling if. But have had bits and chunks. Marvelous. They also sell fresh bakery items from the same shop we got stuff from in the Cerritos area. Also. Their HALO HALO is a monster sized cup. It's a gosh darn whole meal. They also sell fresh veggies and desserts and frozen stuff like smoked fish, wrappers... those stuffed fish...

The food is always great here and friendly service with a positive attitude smiles but It's better if they play OPM or Filipino music to make it feel like back home. Be careful when placing food placed in plastic containers, possibly it will slide easily and drop to the floor. Use food trays better.

You guys need to cook the balot more! Also the bicol express is bland no flavor

First of all I go to you guys restaurant all the time I often get the bicol express and the karekare but this is the third strike. The vehicle express is bland and for the first time I'm trying you guys ballot but tell me why it's still red seems like it's undercooked

One of the dining areas. Tables are placed through this hybrid restaurant/grocery store.

Massive selection of Filipino food inside a grocery store; it's complicated but it makes perfect Filipino sense. It's warm in there so bring a small fan if you run hot all the time (me). Be patient if a line forms, we're all hungry too (me, again). Now, the details... in Tagalog... translated back to English. THE FOOD ELABORATION. - Combo Plate (2 Items) | Came with white rice and two items of choice. I went with... 1. Pork Adobo | Great savory flavors, but the pork was somewhat dry. 2. Dinuguan | Extremely tender pork offal sitting in thick gravy sauce... which is pig's blood... sweet and savory with irony flavors. What I had here was the best dinuguan, ever. Highly recommend for the pig blood fans. - Combo Plate (1 item) | Rice and... 1. Mechado, Filipino Beef Stew | Hearty, richly flavored with carrots and other vegetables to balance the savoriness. The beef is tender, but some pieces were a little dry. - Lumpia | Made to order, the lumpia was fried to a golden crisp; stuffed with ground pork and minced vegetables. Comes with sweet chili sauce for dipping. Highly recommend. - Sinigang | Just the sabaw (soup) which I used to drench my rice with. Its sour and savory flavors are what to expect and usually consists of a vegetable medley with a protein component (pork or fish are popular). - Pork BBQ Skewers | Tender and sweetly flavored with charred edges for an added crunch. Highly recommend. - Halo Halo | A popular Filipino dessert, this halo halo had different types of sweet beans & jellies with evaporated milk and a thick layer of shaved ice. A scoop of mildly sweet ube ice cream tops this dish. Masarap! THE VIBE EVOCATION. Makati Manila vibes. Filipino food aromas emanate and persist throughout the store. Tables are haphazardly placed wherever room is afforded; in and around shelves of exotic Asian food. Do we still call Asian food exotic? Anyway, it feels familiar as this kind of hybrid set up is very typical in the Philippines. THE PARKING AFFAIR. Plenty of free parking in front of the store. THE RETURN QUANDARY. Definitely coming back for the dinuguan and to try other dishes too.

The location of…read morethis well-known Japanese/French bakery was unusual in that it's isolated in a corner of the El Camino Plaza. I had expected the business to be in a more high volume area, however a benefit of their corner spot was that the parking lot had plenty of spaces. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor tables were set up along the north and east perimeters of the building. I was by myself at this latest visit, and it was close to the end of the day so the inventory was quite depleted. There was no line at all which was not a surprise. The famous Strawberry Croissants and prepackaged items were on refrigerated display to the left when you walked in. As the service counter rounded a corner, there were more fresh baked goods on display before you reached a register. Across from the registers were shelves containing bags of fresh bread products. I bought a Strawberry Croissant, a Sticky Bun, a Ham and Cheese Croissant, and an Apple Croissant. The quality of the pastry dough was very good, and I could see why the Strawberry Croissant was a favorite with the customers. The croissants were light and flakey, and the powdered sugar added a delicate topping to the strawberry version. If I were to rate on just the Strawberry Croissant, then it would be five stars. My overall rating was downgraded because of the customer traffic flow. The lines can be optimized so that if you wanted to buy a six-pack of the Strawberry Croissants and/or anything prepackaged, then a separate queue should be arranged for those customers. The cafeteria trays were of limited use if you were not getting a large number of items. As you advanced in the queue, other products had to be requested from a worker behind the counter and then those were not placed on the tray. Ultimately, I think they can configure the operation to more efficiently handle the higher volume periods of the day.
