I had lived at Pinnex since June 2020, until recently moving out. I lived in one of the "townhomes". I have a completely honest review of Pinnex.
First, the price you pay for the apartments is not the best considering there are no amenities besides a dog washing station. No pool, no workout room, no dog area, nothing. There is a bike storage room that they refer to as an amenity though. The townhome was a nice size, but the bedrooms are very small. Our king bed was practically wall to wall as well as our dresser. The closets are big. The air circulation in our apartment was awful. If we had the a/c set to 67 in the apartment, the downstairs would be blistering cold but the upstairs bedrooms would be so hot enough to keep you up at night. There are only two vents upstairs which doesn't really help the airflow situation. The appliances are very very cheap. If you are and a roommate or partner are staying together and cook at home often, good luck finding any space in your fridge. It is tiny. We had to end up getting a mini fridge just for beverages because of the amount of space the fridge lacks. While we lived here, the management changed from Milhaus to Nolan Red. While Milhaus wasn't a top 10 property manager, they were 10x better than Nolan Red. Our grass is never mowed. Maintenance work order requests take anywhere from 2-6 days to be completed, even for a LOCK OUT. The fobs for the front door die constantly creating a lockout situation. The wifi here is awful. We even paid for the faster wifi and it still knocks you off the internet constantly, not great for working at home. The windows do not open in the living room. The new management also does not tell you when work outside the complex is being done, for instance, painting. I woke up one morning to a man outside my window who was painting the building, not great to wake up to without warning. While I understand the world is short staffed and taking over an apartment complex is difficult, this stuff is happening still, 9 months after take over. The parking situation is great considering the church across the street somehow owns the parking lot the Pinnex sits on. Wednesday nights and Sunday nights you practically cannot leave unless you have a garage space considering you will not find parking until service is over. Pinnex is a great place to live if you love walking to fountain square. While I enjoyed some of my time here, I definitely am glad to be moved out. read more
