Terms Kim Monroe…read moreLocal Guide·27 reviews·9 photos 9 months ago We needed a pool remodel and to add a spa. We also wanted to change from a salt system to a fusion chlorinated system. We interviewed 8 companies and chose All About Pools because of Jayson Furr the project manager. We met with him initially in his office in Tyler. He was sitting in his truck waiting on us when we arrived. I liked him immediately! He was in his work clothes and I could tell he was a hard worker. We had a meeting and we had a budget. Out of the eight companies, there were two bids lower than Jayson. One bid came in after we had already met with Jayson and we decided to stay with Jayson. We showed him the lower bid that we had from the other company and he worked with us and came down a little bit closer to that bid. We were very appreciative of that. He came out, looked at everything, flew his drone over. We came to an agreement over the money, signed the contract, the very next day early in the morning he was there with this crew working. They would work in the cold and the rain. Jayson answered the phone every single time we called if for some reason, he couldn't answer he would immediately call us back. No matter how simple the question was or how many times we called, he was always very polite very patient and very very customer friendly. We trusted him. We trusted him with our retirement monies that we had saved for this project. We always wanted a beautiful spa and pool. We also met the owner. The owner explained to us how important his customers were to him. He's been in the business over 40 years. The company is part of Better Business Bureau bonded and insured, and presented all of that evidence to us in the folder that was given to us. He had pages of references that we could check. Even though the owner had had some health issues, he came out to the job site to look at everything and talk to us and thanked us for picking his company. We should be done with the job tomorrow. They poured plaster today and will do the acid wash and we can start to fill tomorrow. The pool and the new spa has transformed our backyard. We are beyond thrilled. We are also beyond thrilled with the customer service and the quality of work that was provided to us. We have encountered nothing but professionalism from all of the workers that he contracts with. They are all hard-working and very polite. This is our first pool and spa. We moved from out of state less than a year ago so we had to start from scratch to find a pool company. We highly recommend All About Pools and Jayson Furr for any of your needs. They do a tremendous job and are very hard-working. Also, Jayson is there every day on the job overseeing and working beside the people that he has contracted with. The project was completed within time promised, despite weather issues. Thank you Jayson for fulfilling our dream. Jayson does not make excuses he makes things happen.

The winter storm and lack of supplies has hurt the ability of Elite Pool and Patio to deliver on…read morethe promise of 1-month pool install. I would say the frustration is around lack of transparency and prompt communication about delays. Glenn, the owner, is trying to determine how we can get our pool plastered and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt ... for now. We need to get a commitment for a plasterer however and see the plaster applied before I'll increase the number of stars on the review. I would recommend to the company that they need to communicate better and more timely about the back-orders, delays in schedules. Be up front, be prompt, and be ahead of the game. Don't make customers chase you if you have made a promise and it cannot be delivered. please call ahead of time to communicate delays. Mark Young

I was assured my pool would be done in 30 - 60 days when I contracted with them. However, it took over a year. I was consistently lied to about the progress or lack there of. I would be told workers were going to show up on a certain day, they didn't and there was no communication by the company's owner Glenn Miller. I would call him, text him, my calls and texts would get no response. I would call the office and the nice but rattled office worker Becky would know nothing of what was happening. Eventually I lost it on Glen and told him what I thought about all the lies and delays and his unresponsiveness and he had the unmitigated gall to block me! He had $70,000 of my money, I had a whole in the ground and very little recourse. This was the most frustrating experience of my life. I did end up with a beautiful pool. However, I wouldn't use this company again if it were free!

I did that, thought my problems were solved, but within an hour of having the water on the leak was back. I then decided to give Rub A Dub a try. Aaron came by and, unlike the other two, went to work to find the leak. They told me that my water heater's mother board was bad and was obsolete / no longer available. Thus, the only option was to replace the entire system at a cost of nearly $5K. Feeling stuck and taking their word for it, replacing the unit is what we did. A couple months later, my second tankless system (same make, model and age as the first one) went on the fritz. Troubleshooting this system, it too was a motherboard problem, yet this time (not with Rub-a-Dub), a replacement motherboard was available for $300, a far cry from replacing the entire system at 16X the cost! Needless to say, this was a pretty frustrating realization to have about Rub-a-Dub's service call and recommendation. They definitely got me! :-(

After a refrigerator leak caused water damage to our engineered hardwood floor, I called three…read moredifferent flooring companies for an estimate on either a repair or replacement. Due to the age of the floor, and the unavailability of the existing floor product, we had to do a complete replacement. My wife and I were most impressed with Michael Yanez, owner of Best Budget Flooring and Remodeling, so we chose his company for our wood floor replacement. We couldn't be more impressed with the entire process. Best Budget replaced our engineered hardwood with luxury vinyl flooring. It only took Michael's flooring and painting teams three days to complete the project. The floor is approximately 1000 square feet. They moved all of our furniture, hung plastic to prevent dust from invading the rest of our home, removed the quarter round, removed the old floor, sanded and prepped the foundation, installed the new floor, repaired the water damaged baseboards, installed new quarter round, painted all of the baseboards, cleaned up after themselves, and moved all furniture to exactly where we wanted it. We were blown away with how quickly the project was completed. My wife and I absolutely love our new floor. Michael and his team were knowledgeable, professional and very courteous. Michael visited our home several times throughout the three days to make sure everything was going well. I couldn't be more impressed, and we would absolutely use Best Budget Flooring again. We highly recommend this outstanding company.
