They have a sign in sheet to meet with one of the bankers at the desks as opposed to the tellers. There were 4 people behind desks and only one customer before me. I was honest and wrote down that I was closing my accounts and not surprisingly was overlooked by the desk people as they helped people who walked right into the branch as well as who arrived after I did and wrote down that they had no appointment! After wasting/waiting for 17 minutes I decided to return with an appointment. Today I called and spoke to Julian, who I not only find that he is the branch manager, but that he was so pleasant to speak to on the phone, so accommodating on the phone, & so apologetic on the phone, that I almost didn't show up to close my accounts simply due to the stellar customer service which Julian provided!! I showed up in person, he stopped what he was doing and I was out of there in 5 minutes. Obviously that place (though far from perfect) is doing something right as today (two days after a holiday) had a lobby filled with customers in a land and time where electronic banking abounds! Kudos to Julian for leading such a successful team and knowing how to genuinely care for and satisfy customers even if they are parting ways!! Julian is a true professional in every sense of the word.

Been coming to this WF branch for quite sometime, as I've been a customer for about 7 or 8 years…read more The only reason I visit this branch is because I reside in Morgan Hill, and the other "branches" are really not an option as they are inconvenient inside grocery stores and the like. This Wells location is really the only real option for a stop at the ATM to either get cash. or make a deposit. I try to avoid going inside the branch, especially since COVID due to the fact the guard only leaves a limited number of people inside at a time, and the lines could get fantastically long. Not sure if that's still the case or not since many of those occupancy restrictions have been relaxed a bit in California. I only go into the bank if I absolutely need to, otherwise I do 98% of my banking via the mobile app, online, or the ATM. My only other complaint about this particular store aside from getting very busy, is the parking lot can be a pain to navigate when it's full, like on most Friday afternoons on payday. The parking lot layout is kinda weird, so if you don't enter at the adjoining street (Monterey) you can have a bit of a hard time unless you drive the wrong way down those lanes which is not recommended.

We let them know that we needed to put my dad's account in my mom's name and see what bills were taken out. The branch manager was rude and said the power of attorney dies when my dad died. She made a copy of death cert and POA. I told her my mom needed access to the account to see if there is money in the account or bills. The manager said if any money is in the account then it would go to the state/govt. I said, "F... no the money isn't going to the government, thats my moms money." Commonwealth made a threat to my mom saying that they could put a lien on my parents house even though my parents do not have a mortgage through Commonwealth. All these bullshit scare tactics. Definitely would not recommend this place and I will be closing my account that I've had there for over 30 years.

Meeting with any consultant consistently takes 1-3 hours because they are always understaffed and they do not even give you close to the correct time estimate. Depositing large amount of cash with a teller is always a nightmare as well as it takes several times for their machines to count correctly or the teller types in the wrong amount. Other US banks have never given me these problems. Save yourself the headache and drive to San Jose or Gilroy locations.
