In our first meeting, Kimi made the time to connect with us after the 5pm hour because of our work schedules. Kimi then answered all our questions and walked us through the home-buying process from start to finish. As first-time home buyers, this was incredibly important. I always felt like my questions were heard and I was provided clear and consistent communication. Also, Kimi took the time to create several different projections that worked within our budget. Each conversation I had with Kimi showed me the level of care she had for her client's needs and that she was always willing to be transparent and honest about next steps. Throughout our home-buying process, I worked with a few people on the Kimi Does Mortgages team. Each person I connected with had the same level of respect, support, and attention to detail that Kimi provided in our first meeting. I specifically had many conversations with Lily in the later stages of our home-buying process. Lily has been a great resource to me and my wife she always took the time to walk us through all the different mortgage language and helped us to truly understand the numbers on the many documents we had to review. Lily went above and beyond to pick up the phone or give me a prompt message back whenever I had questions. We had one issue obtaining a document from my wife's work. We mentioned this to Lily, and she immediately got creative and provided us with some alternative options that helped us get the correct document. Also, I worked with Garrett a little and he was very nice. He provided streamlined communication to ensure the process was flowing on the appropriate timeline. We are so appreciative of all the work and countless hours that Kimi and her team put in to ensure that our home-buying process was as smooth as possible. When we started to look at mortgage companies, I had heard many horror stories about bad experiences, and I'm happy to report that because of Kimi and her team, we didn't run into any issues. Instead, we felt in control and supported each step of the process. Overall, if you are looking to buy a home I highly recommend you go with Kimi Does Mortgages. Her team is incredible and you will be grateful you chose to work with her.

This business can really pull things together in a pinch and provide personalized service where I…read moredon't think larger chain banks and lenders would be able to. I have been a Colonial customer for years due in no small part to the fact that they service their own mortgages so your loan won't be sold around in investment packages constantly with you not knowing who owns the note to your home from year to year. They have been consistent with my escrow account to where adjustments were not needed as well. My main reason for this review though is that we just closed on buying a new home and used Colonial again. Things were getting shaky as to whether we were going to close on our home on time and we felt like our home deal might fall through if our closing got delayed. I contacted the company vice president John Farrell and things started flying faster than could ever have been expected by my wife and I. After a few whirlwind days we ended up closing on time and are very excited to be moving into our dream home. I don't think that if we were doing business with one of the "Too Big to Fail" banks that we could have received this kind of assistance and we would definitely recommend going with Colonial for anyone's mortgage needs.

I had been in process of refinancing my house with another lender, but it wasn't working out as expected and taking too long, so I cancelled that loan. I was a Colonial customer - had my current mortgage with them, but my earlier experience with the loan officer assigned to me in an Austin office left a lot to be desired. I'm glad I took a chance and called the main # in Fort Worth. Pat took all the info over the phone, locked in my rate that day, had the papers sent to my home that week. She set up the closing at the nearest Colonial location to my office, where Susan Mills (the title agent) did a great job of completing all the paperwork with me over my lunch hour. The entire process, from the first phone call to the closing, took 24 days. Everything went so smoothly, and I attribute that to Pat's expertise and knowledge. I have been through several home mortgages and refinances with other properties in the past, and this was the absolute best experience I have had to date. No matter where you live in Texas, if you need a loan officer, I would recommend giving Pat a call - you can find her phone # on the Colonial Mortgage website. All loan officers are not "created equal" - Pat is exceptional!!!

TLDR: The Tuttle Group utterly astounded us with an effortless, friendly, speedy, and (believe it…read moreor not) FUN refinance as self-employed individuals when no one else wanted to help. We decided to refinance our home to make some improvements and clear out some high-interest debt. We assumed (erroneously) that our credit union, which had held the current mortgage for 15 years plus our bank accounts and car notes, and a flawless history of payments with them, would have no trouble refinancing us, even though we are now self-employed, and making 3x what we made when they initially approved us. ***WRONG!!!*** After literally MONTHS of asking for documents, changing rates, long delays waiting for info from underwriting, and unanswered questions, we finally abandoned them in search of unconventional financing routes. We looked specifically for brokers in the area who specialize in self-employed people, and found a few. Some seemed a bit "green," some sounded less than friendly or just weren't interested in a smaller refi. But Tatiana with the Tuttle Group was super friendly when she reached out, and helped us arrange a video consultation with Andy Tuttle, the wizard of the Tuttle Group. During the 30 minutes that Andy spoke with us, it was like a crash course in financial planning. Everything he said made so much sense, and we learned more about mortgage refinancing than MONTHS of online research and questions we had asked to our credit union. Andy was up-front and told us that our best option might, indeed, be to go with the offer our credit union had finally extended, and that he might not be able to beat it. Still, he took the time to explain how refinancing in this "terrible Fed-rate" era could be financially advantageous to us, and told us to check once more with our credit union to see their final terms and if they were still locked in. I was astounded that he would take that kind of time to talk to a customer he likely wouldn't get any money from. We decided to proceed with the Tuttle Group, even if they couldn't offer us a better rate, simply because it was a PLEASURE dealing with them, they treated us like family, and everything Andy said made such good sense. Throughout the 2-ish weeks that ensued, their awesome mortgage gal Annie checked in with us regularly to make sure all our questions were answered. They seemingly required FAR less documentation than anyone else. But their stated tactic was to present a perfect, iron-clad package to underwriting up-front, so that there would be an instant approval and there wouldn't be a need for further questions or documentation. (Imagine that???) In what seemed like the blink of an eye, we were approved and ushered through closing. We simply could not be more impressed with the Tuttle Group. We've helped numerous friends and family through the mortgage process, and it's always like being put through a medieval torture device. This is the first time getting approved and closing was a PLEASURE. We NEVER had to contact them for questions, because they were always checking in to make sure all ours were answered. They were super friendly, familiar, informal-yet-professional, and we always felt like they had our backs and had everything under control. We actually looked forward to their calls and emails...imagine that??? Even though were were looking for a silly, small refinance and shouldn't have been worth their time, we felt like we had called up a dear family member who gave us the "hook up" our situation clearly didn't warrant. Astounded. Impressed. Thrilled. Grateful. These are some of the things we feel after our experience with the Tuttle Group. And I have absolutely no doubt your experience will leave you feeling the same.

As a result, the branch manager of the Springtown location Paige Slate contacted me and informed me that my account would be closed. She also requested that I visit the bank to withdraw my money. I arrived at the bank and they unlocked the door for me to enter, I then went to the counter where I got my money with no issues and I left. Without my knowledge while I was getting my money the manager called the police and falsely accused me of refusing to leave and causing a disturbance inside the building. Despite her false claims, the Springtown police did not arrest me but they did issue me a verbal trespass warning. It's hard to believe the manager invited me to come to the store location to withdraw my money, unlocked the door for me, and then called the police when I arrived. It is concerning that Paige Slate is in a position of authority and she abuses her power in this manner. It should be illegal to lie to the police and essentially set people up for trespasses the way Paige Slate has. Paige Slate grossly exaggerated the situation to provoke the police into taking unnecessary action. Although my anxiety and service-related PTSD do not justify my behavior earlier that morning with the online customer service, they might help explain why I was struggling with Customer Service. However, the Branch Manager's decision to fabricate stories and call the police on me was malicious. Her intent was clear - she wanted to see me behind bars or hurt, and she was willing to resort to lies to make that happen. Additionally, I have reason to suspect that someone driving a late-model grey Dodge Ram has been stalking me ever since the incident. It could be a co-worker or possibly the managers boyfriend or something. When I tried to confront the driver about following me into the Brookshires parking lot, they scurried off pretty quick.
