Well I guess the only reason to come here would be that everywhere else is usually booked for leagues and this place is empty since nobody goes there.

A few days ago, my husband received an email accusing him of taking a club towel home and saying he would be charged for it. He was extremely upset by this accusation because he absolutely did not take a towel. When he called the club, Assistant Manager Allan repeatedly told him that "the system is broken." If the system is known to be broken, how can the club accuse a longtime member of taking a towel and demand payment based on that same system? What is even more disappointing is that no one apologized. Allan never apologized, and the manager did not even speak with my husband to acknowledge the mistake or the stress and embarrassment it caused. After 22 years of membership, we expected much more professionalism and respect. A broken system is one problem; accusing a loyal member because of that broken system and then failing to apologize is another.

With no one monitoring and getting rid/or giving warnings to the disrespectful gym members, machines will keep breaking. Hopefully they turn it around, really have enjoyed this gym.

They are always just sitting or standing behind desks and never look up or acknowledge anyone. I actually tried signing up here a couple years ago and sat in the waiting area for 20 minutes but no one would come talk to me so I gave myself a tour. That led me to go elsewhere. However, I recently joined the new OneLife in Ashburn so I have access to this location and have tried it a few times. Walking into this OneLife is like going into an alternate universe. I have been to four other locations in Virginia and Maryland, all of which are spacious, clean and have modern equipment. However, this Sterling location is cramped, messy, and the equipment is so worn out. Many machines have handles falling off of them, or benches are tough to adjust, that kind of thing. Personally, I will only go here if I have another reason to be next to it, and otherwise will just go to the Ashburn location.

So a dedicated badminton court/club definitely helps. I have been going to the new club for the past 2 weeks and it's great- courts, people, management-- all top notch! The only downside for me is that the club is a little far from where I live but playing badminton twice a week in a proper badminton court at a convenient time of the day is all I can ask for now.
