This place is great. Our staff came here to celebrate and have fun together. After breaking up in…read moreteams and trying out the rooms, we had such a blast. I should have brought a change of clothes because we were sweating! I like how each room has different styles of games. And that the games do get harder on different levels. This is a fun place for friends, coworkers, and families!

If you've ever wanted to feel like you're inside a real-life video game like Wreck It Ralph,…read moreActivate is the place. I've been to Level 99, so it's comparable where there's multiple rooms and activities and you work together to finish the game. Here, you can do competitive games against your group, which makes things more interesting. Theres about 10-15 rooms and each room has different activities to choose from and levels. Unlike Level99, the directions here make sense when you get the hints. As soon as these doors open, within seconds, we were sprinting between glowing rooms trying to beat puzzles, dodge lasers, and slap light panels like our lives depended on it. The concept is basically part escape room, part laser tag, part interactive arcade, except you are the controller. And yes... you will sweat. Each room has a different challenge, and the games ramp up in difficulty so it gets weirdly competitive (especially when everyone's scores are tracked on the wristbands). One minute you're carefully solving a puzzle and the next minute you're hopping across light-up floors like it's an adult version of "the floor is lava." A few notes from the field: * Free lockers to store your belongings. * Bring a water bottle! * Wear athletic clothes and sneakers. This is not a cute-boots/sandals activity. * It's way more physical than expected--in a fun way. * Eat AFTER you come, especially if it's a date night. You don't want to see anything coming up during the activities. What I loved most is that it's fast-paced and replayable. You can bounce between rooms, try different difficulty levels, and keep chasing a higher score. It's perfect for groups, birthdays, team outings, or honestly just blowing off steam. Bottom line: it's chaotic, active, and ridiculously fun. Also in comparison to Level 99, it's not as busy and we don't have to wait outside rooms for long. Would I go back? 100%. My competitive side refuses to accept my current score.

Front Staff is still friendly and great, but gym has been on a decline for past 2-3months. Machines…read morehave been broke for over a month with no repair and the culture here has a lot of people not following simple rules, such as slamming your weights (which is why the machines keep breaking, having full business calls while sitting on a machine, re-racking etc). I come everyday and never see staff monitor the floor. The trainers are down here, but I'm assuming it's not their responsibility. With no one monitoring and getting rid/or giving warnings to the disrespectful gym members, machines will keep breaking. Hopefully they turn it around, really have enjoyed this gym.

This is an outstanding club. I've been a member for a long while. When new management took over…read moreright after Covid, their renovations made a good club even better, and certainly brought it up to date. It's clean, has towel service, has every piece of equipment I could ask for, but, most importantly, every person who works there is fantastic, starting with the manager. The front desk folks make a point of remembering you and greeting you by name. It's a big touch, and makes one feel welcome. I use, on occasion, the squash courts, the pool, spin class, the indoor track and, of course, the gym. All are kept immaculate, court reservations are on an app and are easy to get, and there's never a problem with getting (or sharing) a lap lane. I did see a review discussing the equipment in the gym and the culture. While from time to time a piece of equipment breaks, rarely is it down for any length of time. I do agree that some folks don't understand (actually they don't care) about etiquette (not restacking weights, sitting on equipment and using the phone, etc), and while I have not seen trainers policing them, I have noticed a ton of signage going up with gym rules and requests to abide by them. Some people are going to be jerks, I suppose, but I'm not sure how one can solve this problem other than by educating them. I could not recommend this place more

Neutral, Informational Review…read more I want to share my experience so future members know what to expect. The gym facilities themselves are fine, but I found the membership process and information provided at sign-up to be unclear. I did my best to get all of my questions answered upon signing up and trying to cancel. I'm still working on that right now. There is an annual $88 amenities fee, and memberships here are contract-based. There isn't a month-to-month option. If you want an unlimited guest pass, that comes at an additional cost. The gym also uses a tier system that affects which locations you can access. I wasn't made aware of these details until I tried to cancel right now. When I tried to ask questions or make changes to my account, I often had difficulty getting clear answers. It made handling membership matters more stressful than it needed to be. This is your basic experience of what everyone says "why do gyms make it impossible to cancel" this is one of those gyms. I'm sharing this so others can go in fully informed and ask the right questions before signing. Transparency at the beginning would make the experience much smoother for everyone.

This is the only one life location I have come to that staff refuses to acknowledge you. I pay over $50 a month the least that the employees could do is provide the most basic level of customer service why am I not even getting smiled at? I was reply to by the business owner advising me that they would talk to their staff and yet I've seen zero changes and today I went as far as even asking the front desk, lady, why is she refuses to speak to me and she just stood there looking at me, dumbfounded, looking around for somebody to save her I said to her you know you are the only one life location that I come to that refuses to speak to anybody walking into the gym she looked at me like a deer in headlights. Her name is DIANE. train your staff to speak to people. It is literally the bare minimum that your staff should be doing a good morning. Have a good day goes a long way. This is bare minimum customer service. If I did not have to come to this location I would never step foot into this gym, but I refuse to drive 40 minutes every day to Manassas where they actually have trained staff that actually acknowledges their customers and isn't actually 200 times better gym, but I'm stuck here. It would be fucking nice to be greeted. I hate this location. Still being ignored walking into facility :) 11/19 And it's always the same employee. Very clear management could care less. No better location than Manassas and Fort Totten in DC. I recently moved to Herndon so I've been having to try to go to a gym. That's much closer to my house instead of driving for 35 minutes to Manassas and honestly I don't care how petty this makes me customer service should still be at the forefront of all of your businesses. There should be no reason why I'm walking into your establishment early in the morning where I can't even be told, Good morning I just get ignored because your front desk staff is just sitting on their phone , but let their friends come into the building and then they're all attentive and chatting and friendly but if you're not one of their friends, you're not gonna get spoken to I don't appreciate that whatsoever. Customer service is a huge deal to me if it's not obvious from my reviews. Not to mention that this location is huge, but it is completely laid out incorrectly. I'm not really sure why they need for a whole physical therapy office in this gym. If so much space and all the equipment is so freaking close to each other. You don't have any privacy when working out you don't even have personal space forget privacy because you're at a public gym but there is NO PERSONAL SPACE. You can barely even walk through machines you have to completely go around.
