I had been doing well for over a year with no flare-ups, but this weekend, I developed a pretty severe case. Of course, the symptoms didn't manifest until Saturday morning, and I had an event on Sunday that I really did not want to miss. Fortunately, Dr. Cervantes was on call for the practice. I called the answering service and immediately received a callback. Dr. Cervantes could have easily told me to go to the ER and follow up with him on Monday. But he didn't. He met me at the office on both Saturday and Sunday and treated me in person. I was able to attend and enjoy my event on Sunday. Dr. Cervantes is a truly caring doctor. The office staff is equally as wonderful and got me in again on Monday to make sure we were headed in the right direction. I am truly grateful for the wonderful care I have received from Dr. Cervantes and his staff, and I cannot recommend Connecticut Eye Specialists highly enough!

This was my first time scheduling an eye exam in my life. They didn't tell me that the dilating could be a scary experience and that it would blind me so badly that I would not have be able to drive home. I had to call my husband who had to go out of his way that day to come and pick me up. After the appointment there was no follow up on what I needed to do. I called a couple weeks later and left a vm and no one called me back. I called again a couple weeks after that and left a vm and someone called me back and said the doctor gave me a prescription which was not true. They are now telling me I need to go pick up the prescription from them and then go shop for my glasses. Why do I have to chase them for the follow up directions on what I need to do? It's been a month since my appointment. But, they had no problem charging me hundreds of dollars for my visit. And, to top it off when I was freaked out due to not being able to see when I was at the reception desk checking out the girl was laughing at me. Very unprofessional practice. I will never return to them and I will be sure to share my poor experience with everyone I know. Do better!

When I said something, I was told: 1. We are really busy. 2. We are short-staffed. 3. You should expect to wait in the doctor's office. (No, I do not expect this.) 4. If you keep talking about this, it is going to delay things further. (WHAT?) Oh dear! What happened to common courtesy? What happened to respecting your patient's time? What happened to offering an apology instead of excuses?

The lady at the front desk greeted me by saying my insurance is not active. After realizing her mistake she said I needed to pay a $40 co-pay, which I did not have to pay. The office manager was not much better, asking me to sign a form that a service that was covered, I still needed to sign that I would be responsible for it. Did nt make any sense at all - then she said I was good. Wow, I almost walked out due to their rudeness and miss reputation However, Erica made up for the unprofessional treatment the front desk showed me. And Dr Hardik Patel was kind and thorough durning his exam and treatment. I am sure that management has no idea how unprofessional the front desk staff is. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Roberts and the staff at Park Lane. They were polite and kept the appointment flowing. Some ophthalmologists just shoot you through, but Dr. Roberts gave a very thorough exam, and even more importantly, he carefully explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it, and why things happen to your vision over time. When it came time to choose frames, the optician, Mr. Uhran, spent lots of time helping me pick some out and steering me to ones that made me look good while not breaking the bank. They have a very large selection of frames, and it's a lock that there are lots of options that are right for you and your face. She got so rude on the phone and saying she doesn't have time for that and that they are short staffed. I said please do be snippy with me, and as I was speaking to make an appointment she hung up.
