Yes, this is my second review for a Pinkberry location. Don't judge me. I can't find the right words to express how much I love this stuff. So smooth, so creamy, so tart, so yummy, so....GOOD. As soon as I finish my small serving, I want more. Gotta have more. Don't get more (because that would be bad for the figure. And expensive), but man, how I crave it. Favorite creation? Pumpkin and Peanut Butter, side by side, with strawberries, mangoes, toasted almonds, and coconut. I know, I know...it sounds ridiculous. Like a baby put this combination together. But it's amazing!! The pumpkin isn't spicy and savory like regular pumpkin ice cream..it's more fruity and cinnamon-y. The peanut butter is rich and roasted-tasting. I think they may have just switched out the peanut butter, and if so I apologize for recommending something you can't have. Wait a few months, it'll be back. All of the flavors are pretty tasty, but definitely take advantage of the free samples before placing your pick. This location is a little weird, I will admit. There's always a line and it doesn't exactly move fast. The "swirlers" are indeed swirly--they are so peppy and smiley that it can be overwhelming (if you're easily agitated you may walk away with a tick). They'll say things like "small peanut butter? I'll be right back with that!" and then turn around to the yogurt machine that is literally RIGHT BEHIND THEM and act as if they've just left on a cross-country adventure to swirl your probiotics. There isn't a lot of seating (and people are nuts, they show up in their pajamas with UGG boots and heaps of makeup and they're LOUD) so we usually get our concoctions and then eat them in the car. Not exactly the most comfortable, but I can easily put this aside when the first spoonful comes to my lips. read more

I'm thrilled that Rhode Island has finally caught on to the froyo craze and gotten itself a Pinkberry. Now I don't have to drive 45 minutes to Hingham just to sample its swirly goodness. It's safe to say that I'm obsessed with this stuff. The spotless shop has been open for six days and I've already made excuses to go to Garden City three out of those six days. It's definitely better than the other froyo spots on Thayer Street and worth the quick trip from Providence to Cranston. I love that they offer big containers to go so I can have my yogurt fix on days when I just don't feel like driving over there. I think the cone offering is relatively new, and I love that they fill the bottom with toppings before adding the yogurt on top. My favorite flavor is definitely watermelon right now, with the original coming in at a close second. Just a couple notes: the mango froyo machine has been broken all week. Not sure if it's fixed yet. Be prepared to wait in line, especially because it's still in its grand opening phase. The only annoying thing I've found is people who get to the counter and ask for a sample of every flavor, which causes a back up. For me, the wait is totally worth it! Also, make sure you get a rewards card. After you purchase ten cups of yogurt, you get a free small yogurt with toppings. Yay! read more

I admit it, I am a hick. Who pays that kind of money for froyo? I am pretty sure I can go to DQ and get 'froyo' (frozen yogurt for the rest of the hick class out there) which has been served for the past 15 years. If you want to be wowed by the about of stuff you can throw in top, go to Cold Stone. Get twice as much for half the cost. All of that being said, I did notice an awful lot of folks wearing Uggs in there, so I may just be way out of my depth and not really appreciate with wonders of a dairy product produced by bacterial fermentation of milk. Ice cream I get though. So I guess I am just out of luck. So flavor was not any better and probably not as good as some of the local ice cream places. Cost was insanely high. Okay, so let me first start by saying this is froyo; it's not going to end world hunger nor save the whales. It's just yogurt. That said, this place is pretty cool for a yogurt shop. What's particularly interesting is the toppings that are offered, including but not limited to fresh yogurt and Cap'n Crunch cereal. My gripes are as follows: 1) Holy expensive! I got what they refer to as the "mini" size and it ran me nearly $4. 2) Lines, lines, lines! Almost every time I go there the line is nuts, and it's only worse in the summertime. 3) A little too West Coast for East Coast clientele. People on the West Coast are crazy: they don't stand in a straight line, they have giant blank walls which could be better utilized for telling me your flavors so I'm not under a tremendous amount of pressure when I get to the counter to place my order, and they are all so damn smiley. Hallelujah - so thankful for Pinkberry! It never ever fails me... My ultimate judge on froyo is when I want the froyo solo straight up with zero toppings. I know it tastes so much better with toppings (especially they are super fresh too!). But my point is, I love their froyo so much that I want it alone with no distraction. Their high quality original flavor is simply clean, delicious, creamy and tart. Absolutely love the different sizes available there. I waited so long for Pinkberry to come to RI and I wasn't disappointed. The yogurt is made with natural ingredients and there are always new flavors to try. The topping selection is fantastic and the fruit is alternated to what is fresh and in season. The people who posted negative reviews of this establishment make me laugh, I mean come on guys they let you sample it before you buy it so do not act like they tricked you into eating yogurt when you expected soft serve ice cream from Dairy Queen. Honestly? This is real frozen yogurt and it tastes like delicious frozen yogurt. They let you sample every flavor they have to offer before you order and they have a ton of great toppings. It was so busy when I went this weekend but it was worth the wait. The staff takes their time walking you through placing your order and explaining the options. The location is always clean and the yogurt is as expected. However, multiple times I have arrived at opening time (especially on Sundays) and the staff are not yet ready for customers. Hate giving out 1 star but after 3 times I can't not tell other....Poor service now 3 times I've gone here and employees need to realize that if I'm paying extra for something then I want to make sure I'm receiving what I'm paying for....Also, this place seem to never have enough inventory of their yogurt or toppings. After having passed by Pinkberrys in NYC, it was, on a visit to my parents in RI that I finally tried one. Well first of all the staff at this store were all very friendly and well trained. A definte plus. I tried samples of the lychee and peach. Both have great flavor. I am not sure why, but I ordered the chocolate without first trying it and I was disappointed. It lacked the flavor of the others. Also personally I was not a big fan of the texture of the yogurt. The store itself was spotless and the mix-ins looked quite good. Overall the price, even without mix-ins, was a lot of money for what you get thus the three star rating. read more

I went for the first time yesterday a little after lunch time because my wife wanted to try it. We were worried that the line would be out the door and the wait would be outrageous, but the line wasn't too bad, maybe 5-6 people deep. The staff was very nice and were trying very hard to keep the line moving, but being a new experience for most of the customers, there was a lot of hemming and hawing and sampling so the line, despite the best efforts of the staff, was glacially slow. I'm sure this will improve as the newness wears off, but it could be annoying. Seeing as how we weren't in any particular rush, though, and we were expecting a wait, it wasn't as terrible as it could have been. Anyway, my wife got the peanut butter with heath bar and brownie toppings, while I had the coconut with the peanut butter crisp, chocolate crisp, and cookies and cream toppings. Both were pretty tasty and I will definitely want to go back to try other combinations. Price was a bit high ($11 and change for two small servings), so I'm not sure I'm going out of my way for this treat, but if we're in the neighborhood and have a craving, I would be fine stopping by again. read more

This was my first experience with Pinkberry and it was great. My sister always raves about Pinkberry in NYC and I have been wanting to try it. I was kind of surprised to see a store open in Cranston but I'm glad it's here. I went on a Sunday in the late afternoon and the place was pretty packed. I waited in line for 10-15 minutes but it was worth it. I opted for watermelon frozen yogurt with a few different types of fresh fruit toppings. There were a few tables outside and I was able to snag one of them. The frozen yogurt was great and really refreshing. It was a bit intimidating when I first walked in due to the endless choices. The employees were more than happy to explain everything. Free samples are offered and encouraged. I liked the fact that there are sized && priced out. It isn't done by weight like other places. The girl kept saying I was allowed more toppings until I finally said no thanks too. Pinkberry was my first introduction to the world of frozen yogurt. I had heard great things about Pinkberry so was very excited to try it out. It took me about 2 months to actually get there since the lines were wrapped around outside - as we know in RI when new things appear so does everyone in the state. While I love the frozen yogurt and the freshness of the toppings I do find Pinkberry to be a little overwhelming. there are often so many customers and employees at the counter you are yelling and I often find I skip getting some of my favorite toppings just to escape the craziness. I also find it a little pricey, but that could be due to my husband who adds every topping... ;) I also can not figure out what the smell is at this location. I am not kidding but I referred to it as baby diaper the last time I was there. Overall I would say Pinkberry is "okay" i can take it or leave it. read more

Every time I past by GC this place has a line past the entrance of the door and I could not understand why-- until I tried Pinkberry for myself. Once you get over waiting in line you will see what the hold up is- this place has such a variety to choose from in terms of toppings it would make anyone's heart fond. It's pretty neat because if you're indecisive like I am you can even ask them to split two flavors- even sample as much as you want until you find something you like! The employee that was taking my order was super nice. Like, beyond nice. Told me a quick runaround on how the place worked and was genuinely welcoming. Customer service like that would definitely bring me back to Pinkberry. Wanna say her name was Nicole, but then again I'm bad with names. For a flavor I had ordered the PB w/ a bunch of different toppings I can't even remember at this point. It had caramel, almonds (or some kind of nut), bananas, and other crunchy/crumbly toppings I don't know the names of. Honestly you can't go wrong w/ any of the toppings for this flavor. I do have to say that it did taste more like a sundae than froyo, but w/ a much lighter tasting flavor that didn't leave me feel bloated. Oh yeah, with that said I ordered a medium and couldn't even finish it all. I had a taste of my bf's chocolate froyo and it seriously tasted like fudgsicle! Which is yummy in my opinion, but I guess others would probably disagree. I had a sample of the pomegranate while waiting in line and they passing them out and thought it was delicious, kinda like a better tasting Gogurt. Also tried a sample of the watermelon and thought it tasted somewhat similar to the pomegranate. All right, going to end this review by saying I would recommend this place to others. I love Frozen Yogurt. Like, for real. I would eat it EVERYDAY if it was possible. Having heard great things about Pinkberry, as soon as this one opened, I made my pilgrimage to Garden City. The girl that was helping me behind the counter was super helpful and gave me the lay of the land. I tried the Peanut Butter froyo and it was amazing! The little chocolate crispy bites are delicious! Prior to this Pinkberry arriving in Cranston, Pinkberry was a far off place I could only experience in LA but with the opening of this place a few years back all of the Froyo wonder has been brought to little old RI. Unlike many of the Froyo places in the area, Pinkberry has fixed sizes and they make it for it and you have your choice of a variety of fresh toppings. I am a big fan of the Peanut Butter flavor but when they don't have it, I stick with classic Tart. If you don't mind not making your own, try out Pinkberry. It is one of the better froyo chains. read more

My girlfriend had been raving about this "Pinkberry" thing for quite some time, and after just visiting Applebee's I figured it would make for a good dessert. I knew it wasn't going to be cheap, and I imagined a glorified Starbucks/Ice Cream shop that centered on being healthy. We arrived and the line was out the door! I couldn't believe that the line was out the door, on a Wednesday in March. At one point the line actually wrapped around the entire interior of the building. So, while waiting in the Black Friday-esque line I had a good time laughing at the culture on the inside. Calories are abbreviated as "cals" in most places to seem young and hip, and the hanging lights look an awful lot like loofahs. Eventually make it to the counter and I ordered a small Pomegranate with a bunch of fruit toppings. The two smalls with toppings came to nearly $11 after tax. The tables on the inside were all dirty, smeared with chocolate and other toppings, but I suppose having a constant line out the door might be an acceptable reason to neglect the cleanliness for a little while. I'm not going to lie, the frozen yogurt was actually very good, and I will definitely return. Kinda tastes like a smoothie but with the texture of ice cream. All the fruit toppings added to it too. I liked the Pomegranate, but you can ask for samples of all the different flavors if you want to. It's got that Whole Foods healthy feeling at Whole Foods prices. We tried Pinkberry again this weekend ONLY because the line was not outside the door. I refuse to wait in the line if it stretches to the sidewalk so we usually opt for another local ice cream or fro-yo stand. Fortunately (or not) for us, the line ended comfortably within the doors of the establishment. The wait was reasonable. We ordered 4 mini cups of yogurt, 3 with toppings for a whopping $20. It's really overpriced but it is delicious and a healthier alternative to the ice cream. read more

After hearing wonderful things about this place I really wanted to try it out. There isn't one close by me so my boyfriend and I went to this one near him. First if you plan to bring a date here be warned: It's busy and loud! we ended up eating ours in his car because it was completely packed with people and I'm pretty sure in order for us to converse we would have needed megaphones. When you reach your turn in line you go up to a counter with about 3 employees and they will ask you what flavor of frozen yogurt you want and they immediately offer you a free sample and there's a large variety of flavors and toppings to choose from all in full view at the counter. I ended up with the peach frozen yogurt with fresh strawberries, blueberries and pineapple. My boyfriend got the chocolate frozen yogurt with peanut butter crunch topping which was a premium topping (the fruit is free but a few of the others have an additional fee) Be prepared for a large bill, two smalls came to almost $10 I thought it was delicious and worth the price but it's definitely a once in a great while place to stop for a snack. I can't wait to come back home to RI to get some more Pinkberry. Yes, it is stupid and trendy, and why the hell would anyone wait in line for frozen yogurt? That said, I usually find myself in this situation anyways despite my plan to go at times I don't think will be busy...which has always failed miserably- there is always a line at this place (and don't forget the immensely annoying people who ask to try every single flavor before buying). Luckily, the line moves quick and the staff are always helpful and overly cheerful. Try the seasonal flavors first, then the traditional, then the chocolate. I usually buy a couple different ones to get the whole experience. It can be a bit pricey. They even put your froyo in a bag filled with ice to keep it nice and cold for the drive home. read more

Decided to go against my better judgement because I knew there would be a line but that tart beckoned me. There was about 75 people there. Our party of 3 got into line and waited a good 45 minutes. It went fast. During that 45 minutes, some older woman accused us of jumping the line but then she wasn't... she was making a statement for the people behind us who joined their friends. people were getting roudy. Pinkberry noticed people were getting antsy so they provided free samples for the entire line. That calmed everyone down. Be warned once you try a sample you are going to want to change your mind about order. We got up to order and the chocolate pump needed to be refreshed. So there was a wait but the employees are the most helpful and nicest people. They must provide the staff with valium because they all were so calm and so damn pleasant amidst the chaos. that made the experience worth it. the staff ended up giving us a larger serving of chocolate because the pump was refreshed which was great. they really know know how to take care of their customers. the place was spotless. every other froyo place i go to usually has fruit flies (especially in the summer). this place was sparking and had air conditioning! the yogurt is amazing and very addicting. it will be your new obsession very quickly. read more

Fancy frozen yogurt. I tried one flavor because the staff person told me it was gluten free. The sample was delicious until I realized that she thought wheat and gluten were the same thing.
