I heard that this place was always busy and that a lot of peeps liked the breakfast. So we decided…read moreto stop in for breakfast before our Scottsbluff shopping trip. The waitress was really sweet, but unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the food. I ordered a sausage & cheese omelet, hubby had the biscuits & gravy, and my brother in law had the garlic sausage and eggs and we shared a pancake. I was a little disappointed in the packets of dry non dairy creamer on the table. Not how I prefer to have my coffee, but I still used them. The sausage in my omelet was really good, but that was about it. The hash browns were a little greasy and had no flavor to them at all. I wasn't a fan of hubby's dish either, the biscuits were a little plain jane as was the gravy. The garlic sausage was ok. It had flavor, but I've had better. I was super excited when our sweet waitress put the pancake on the table. It was thick and looked so delicious. But again, no flavor at all. The syrup didn't help either. No maple taste to it whatsoever. I don't think I'll come back anytime soon.

I wanted to come back for another meal but I still had leftovers! My husband loved the Cajun sausage soup of the day. Not too spicy and it hit the spot on a windy day. When the server finally made it to us she was nice. I ordered the prime rib which was huge with green beans. Everything was delicious. The green beams were fresh, with bacon and parm. I was surprised at how good they were. My coworker got the famous $35 nachos with steak. They were so huge! Could definitely feed a party of 4-6. Drinks were so cheap... ordered 2 beers ans a vodka soda and it was only $12! What a deal. The restaurant was half empty by the time we were done. Guess we came at the peak time hence the slow service. But the food was great so def work the wait.

I was wearing shorts and for the asking prices at this place I should have felt under dressed!! I did not! $31 for nachos?? Granted it's steak nachos but it's just the left over bits!! The one that really got us was $5.25 to add gravy to a chop steak!! Come on people, that's beyond ridiculous! This is a bar and grill with upper class steakhouse prices!! Needless to say, in all of our travels this is the first review I've written complaining about price gouging! Go if you want but know they don't even put most prices on the menus so be prepared for sticker shock when the bill comes!! The waiter was very nice and bubbly.

It was cooked perfectly and extremely fresh and coconut-y! We had Bloody Mary's and had a choice of regular spicy or spicier spicy. We both got the regular spicy and it was exactly that, no complaints. We enjoyed the ambience of the place, which I would classify as small town. It had televisions and a pool table and souvenir t-shirts for sale. I could see watching a Husker game there would be fun.

Every time we're in Western Nebraska we eat here and get a bag to go! (My photo is that which we brought home) So why four stars instead of five? The atmosphere. It's in a Quonset and there is really no atmosphere at all. It's a bar. And the bathrooms are a little sketchy. If atmosphere isn't a deal breaker, you'll want to try this place.

The ordering process was fine--you order at the…read morecounter, get your own drinks, and the food is brought to your table--but the food handling and service were concerning. The employee who brought our food had been washing dishes. When our order was ready, he pulled his hands straight out of the dirty dishwater, didn't dry them or wash them first, and immediately picked up our plates to bring them to our table. That was very unsanitary and made us uncomfortable. On top of that, he didn't greet us when he dropped off the food, and after we thanked him, he didn't even acknowledge us or say "you're welcome." I also noticed the cooks in the kitchen preparing food without wearing gloves the entire time we were there. While gloves aren't always legally required if proper handwashing is followed, after seeing how our food was handled, it definitely didn't inspire confidence in the restaurant's hygiene practices. Unfortunately, because of the cleanliness concerns and poor customer service, I don't plan on returning Don't get me wrong the food was good but sure did lose my appetite after watching all this.
