I contacted Blake M Wilson in late April 2014 thru an ad he was running on Craigslist.org for web design. I had a small problem with a video player on one of my pages and I needed help fixing it. Blake is 18 years old and only pretending to be in business. He did fix my video player problem relatively easily; but then pitched me on completely re-coding my entire web site to optimize it for tablet and smartphone display. He seemed knowledgable and personable, so I checked out his business website. It looked well done and very professional. At that time, I was impressed; especially by the "Happy Customer" testimonials he places on his business homepage. Instead of recoding my entire web site, I proposed we first do something smaller to get more comfortable working together: he agreed to recode ONLY my home page and perform 2 or three rudimentary tasks (cleaning up leftover old html code fragments on my other pages and helping me develop a keyword strategy) in exchange for me sending him a smaller payment. These tasks were not at all anything challenging or time-consuming and we agreed that this would be a down payment or first step in a process that would lead to much more future work for him developing my website. I explained to Blake that I was looking for a long term professional arrangement with a web professional/company that would help my business grow thru continual evolution of it's web presence. I was basically offering the guy the opportunity to handle all my future web work. Unfortunately, he mislead me to believe I could trust in his abilities. I mailed his payment the first week of May, and what followed next can only be considered a complete BETRAYAL of my professional trust and confidence in him AND his business: Suddenly, he became very difficult to contact; phone calls always went to voice mail, emails routinely went without responses for 2, 3 and then 4 days. When I could occasionally corner him, he would send me something representing bare minimum effort; full of obvious mistakes, incorrect spelling, missing or incorrectly linked hotlink buttons, etc. He doesn't seem to have any professional standards for excellence. He never seemed to take my needs as a client seriously. HE DIDN'T CARE. Eventually, days turned into weeks, and at one point, after being MIA for more than two weeks, he showed up apologizing because he was in the middle of "finals" at school. After his "finals" were finished, his next DELAY was he was going to California for a family vacation. I was expected to have incredible amounts of patience and understanding, while Blake continued on being completely irresponsible. Blake truly wasted more than TWO MONTHS of my valuable time thru a series of never-ending delays, stringing me along with one excuse after another, making promises he never had any intentions of keeping, all the while, delivering incomplete and incompetent work; and then, only after I had pressured him. In the end, he became very flippant; it was a big JOKE to him; at first admitting he had "dropped the ball," then later, he just completely ignored me, finally texting me back with several "Dude, just chill out...things just didn't work out for us to work together, ok?" style messages. Didn't work out? When customers PAY you for work and later you just keep the money without delivering on your part of the agreement...that means, "it just didn't work out for us to work together?" WTF? Really? Today is 7-10-2014. My last contact with Blake M Wilson was almost three weeks ago when he texted me that he would mail me a full refund. Well, you guessed it...I haven't received my promised refund and haven't heard another word from him since. A final gesture of deceit, disrespect, thievery and "in your face" betrayal of professional trust. Unbelievable. Naturally, If you're considering doing business with BLAKE M WILSON Web Design, you have been WARNED; He does not honor agreements, care about quality or provide refunds He will also WASTE tremendous amounts of your time. In the end, expect to be parted from your money and left with ZERO for all the frustration.
