I had a manicure here. I left, and within a week, 2 of my nails were broken. The "gel" was so thin you could see through it. It was so thin you could press on my nails, and they would bend! Don't you get gel nail polish to prevent this? I have never had a gel manicure of such poor quality. And it's not like I was going cheap; the manicure was ((edit: I had put over $100 in an original review, and in fact it was $79.33 with an additional $25 spent on cuticle oil)). I had upgraded the gel ((edit: I did pay for a more expensive gel and expect any gel in a manicure not to bend when you touch the end of your nail)). I will not go back as I don't like my nails breaking to the point they hurt. I had 7 / 10 nails break so low on my fingers that it hurt, and I am gentle on my nails. Save your time and go somewhere else. read more

I've been in Salt Lake for about a year and a half. I have been looking and looking for a Nail Salon to land. I think I found that in the Pink Bubble Salon. My nail artist, Allyssa, is very good at her job. She not only listens to what I ask for, but she gets the shape and the length perfect. I've only had one design by her so far, but I'm looking forward to having her work on some other nail designs for me. I also had the pedicure. The pedicure is a water free pedicure, which at first worried me because my feet are pretty dry. But the outcome was very good! I found that my feet felt better doing it this way than having my feet soaking water first. Definitely coming back for a pedicure again as well. read more

I will have to contact my bank to get a refund for the worst nail service I have ever received. My nails look like trash and it is was the least relaxing experience I've ever had in a nail salon. Not because my children were there--I take them everywhere, as a single parent I have no choice. To address your blatant lies about them arguing, my youngest son had chewed on the stick of a lollipop offered by the nail tech, and his older brother was raising his voice because he wanted him to spit it out. Rather than addressing the issue I couldn't since I was trapped in a chair getting my nails redone multiple times not out of choice, but because they were done poorly, he chose to snidely tell them to be quiet or he would kick them out. Said employee also never once referenced the actual policy, as I would have chosen to go elsewhere. My children are not a problem, YOU and your shady business practices are. Utilizing my personal phone number to text and harass me for expressing my freedom to honestly review a garbage service I received is beyond unhinged behavior. I cannot understand how you justify that behavior, but I am sure you will try. I have every right to share this experience with the public, and your lies only go so far, as looking through reviews now I see I am not the only one who has had this experience with the same employee. ... The manager/owner or whoever he was with the mullet and 70s mustache is one of the rudest, most unprofessional fool I have ever encountered. I came in for an appointment with my two children who were quiet and well behaved and he immediately was rude, passive aggressive, and made a snide comment about how "other guests weren't allowed in for appointments"--when the woman next to me had her friend sitting right next to her. Just say you hate children, and are a biased, unhelpful tool. My children would have been completely silent and well behaved for the entire 90 minutes I was there just getting an overpriced gel manicure, but the tech had to redo one of my nails multiple times and the quality is still trash. It is filed down to almost nothing and still has a bubble. I paid full price and still tipped her 20%, because she, unlike her garbage manager/owner, was kind and put in effort to do her best and I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. RUN, do not walk away from this sad attempt nasty vibe salon which attempts to scream classy but aligns more with lipstick on a pig. I guess if you love wasting money and hate children, this Pinterest board wannabe salon would be great. read more

1311 S 900 E Salt Lake City, UT 84105 I took my daughter there yesterday (November7th) around 3:30pm to do her nails for her birthday. she is just a toddler but loves her nails painted so i wanted to give her a salon experience for her BIRTHDAY. i do not recall her name but there was a female & male working that day. the female worked on my daughters hands. my daughter sat still the entire time. it hasnt been a full 24hrs since she got her nails painted and yet 4 nails no longer have polish on them. it completely came off. it isnt the first time my daughter had painted her nails & they always lasted at least 3 days before peeling. the nail tech did not use the UV lamp in between or the small handheld fans to dry her hand in between coats. nor did she wait in between coats for them to air dry. i called today & spoke to the male that was their yesterday & told them the situation & he proceeds to say "you did not have a problem with it yesterday..we charge for time" mind you they charged $40 & it took 30 MINUTES to paint her TINY NAILS..FORTY DOLLARS for toddler nails to be painted. & it was REGULAR PAINT! i wasnt expecting a refund but an apology wouldve done better than giving ATTITUDE when they messed up THEIR SERVICE !! The vibe was cool and the shop was impeccable. However, I was not pleased with the manicure at all. My nails were not filed evenly and after leaving I had to finish my own manicure. Also I did not realize all their manicures are "dry" in that they don't soak your hands. I did the naked manicure and I thought it just meant no polish. My nails definitely were not buffed to a shine. The only reason I didn't give a lower score is because the removal of my gel x nails was a great experience. However with the way my nails looked after the "manicure" I could have just gotten the removal with no manicure and saved myself some time and money. read more

I decided to try this place out after hearing about it from a couple friends and I'm SO glad I did! I wanted to get my nails done for an upcoming concert. My appointment was with Avery, who did an absolutely incredible job!! She took her time and made sure that my nails looked exactly how I wanted them to. The interior of this place is super cute, clean, and classy. I love the vibes. The nail techs are all very sweet and friendly. I've been to a lot of nail salons and the vibe and quality and service at Hunty Nail Bar is some of the best. I've had my nails done by several techs, including Hunter, and they always come out looking great! And the few times there has been a problem, they fix it fast and freeze. They really care about the service they provide and it is why I keep coming back. I like their gel builder and nail art and adore their pedicure service! Parking can be a challenge; I have had to circle the block more than once but I usually find parking in the back. The restrooms are so clean and cute just like the rest of the salon. I had a steam pedicure at this salon a few months ago and the nail techs who work there did a great job. However, I do not recommend this place because the owner of the business (who was giving my husband a pedicure while I was getting mine) was extremely unprofessional. After my appointment I was harassed, insulted, and threatened for absolutely no reason other than having different political opinions from him. You'd think that as someone who openly identifies himself as a gay business owner he would be far more tolerant and non-discriminatory towards his (former) customers, but sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case. After seeing my review I received a call to try and correct what I wasn't happy with. I had the pleasure of working with honey and she did such an amazing job! I have a toe nail that was recently damaged and she made sure to ask if I wanted to match the length with the other one or if I was okay letting them be as they were, she also was super great at explaining what she was doing and why she was doing it. I had high hopes for this place, but, alas, the upscale presentation is just a façade. The gal (and everyone I encountered) was super nice though. Bless her heart, she came very close to nailing a milk bottle gel mani. I was stoked after reading a review where someone had a broken nail that was "expertly repaired" & presented with same issue. Response was "I got you", but that didn't happen & I covered up the nail for almost whole vacation. He was incredibly gentle and thoughtful about every step of it, and regularly checked in with me about shape, color, charm placement, how my hands were feeling, etc. I've had some pretty bad nail experiences, and I didn't even realize how bad they were until I came here. I never felt any pain as my cuticles were filed and trimmed, and he was very intentional about only buffing the nail itself and not the skin around it. I called in for a Pedicure and Becca was available. It was so refreshing and relaxing as the ambiance is very spa-esque. Becca made sure I was comfortable in their optimal zero-gravity chair for my petecure and massage after having what has been a crazy-long week. The Hunty facility was clean and professional, and the nail color options are on point.
