Brinley was AMAZING!! She was so sweet and is so talented! She knew exactly what to do and executed our plan amazingly. Definitely check her out!! And shoutout to Scot for helping her along the way!

Experience was a 10/10, my hair was done by Irlanda and I can definitely saw I left the salon feeling amazing. Went from long hair to short hair with full confidence with her. Would definitely go back.

I bought a Groupon for a Vivid Color, Cut, Condition, Scalp Treatment and Blow Dry combo package. Honestly, what a steal -- I now live out of the area, but I would definitely return to this chic, fair-priced academy. The biggest complaint I have is regarding the front desk. I called them a few times and left voicemails, but I didn't get a call back. Trying again, I just happened to catch Alicia after days of trying to book an appointment over the phone which is the only option. She told me she was new and told me they had to split the appointments up into two, so she scheduled me for the color on a Thursday and for the cut and scalp treatment the next day. I came in for my first appt. and checked in with Alicia. It didn't take more than 10mins to get started with Jordan. We did a consultation with her teacher, Arianna, agreeing to go for a cool copper color -- something flashy, but not obnoxious since I had to go to a wedding the following week. Another brunette (I'm so sorry for forgetting your name) helped Jordan, and I really enjoyed meeting them and chatting with them both. It was a good time, and I LOOOOVED the final result. The next day I came in for my cut (with someone different) and scalp treatment, but unfortunately found out from the male teacher that the scalp treatment would wash out the color I'd just done the day prior. I was super bummed to not be able to get this service and that the front desk wouldn't have thought to schedule this more accordingly or give me a heads up about it, but maybe she didn't know. No refund or later service was offered. FYI -- get the scalp treatment BEFORE the color! The lovely lady who did my hair was so fun to talk to, and she did a great job as well. I highly recommend visiting this salon. It is the BEST academy I have ever visited. They seem like they are taught at a much higher standard (the teachers are always checking in and know what they're talking about -- I used to work at a salon), and I genuinely liked the ladies who worked on my hair.

    This is the after!!

Absolutely amazing!! Juniper absolutely killed it doing my hair, I was platinum blonde for so long and I wanted to go darker. They explained to me what could look good and how they could do it and what could look and what they don't wanna do. I was really nervous they weren't gonna let me go brown but when they did, I was so happy!! They did exactly what I wanted and better!! Juniper absolutely killed it along with her Instructor Roxy (?? I believe that was her name.) She was incredibly nice and informative at every step. Not only explaining to Juniper but to me the client as well so I also knew what was happening. I loved it. plus to get my hair dyed it was only $60!! That's such a steal. Usually I was spending that much every time I was trying to bleach my hair at home. My hair feels so soft and healthy and I got nothing but compliments for it!! Thank you Juniper for amazing service, I will definitely be back.

Ask for Melissa C!! She did an amazing job on my hair today and gave me a cute fringe in front. She was so good to listen to what my picky demands were and make it happen. Love it!!

I had a babylights appointment with Jacey and I look and feel AH-MA-ZING. The new color perfectly blends in with the lighter areas of my hair and really brightens up my face. It was just the boost I needed! Highly HIGHLY recommend!

Are you as afraid of going to a cosmetology school for cut and color as I was? This school is different. Jen did my hair and did such a fantastic job after I went two years doing nothing to my hair due to covid. It looks like I spent $300 for the work. I love, love, Love my hair. Definitely will return. Instructors are fantastic and Jen was personable, confident and will go far when she graduates. No we never met but check out below for the proof and I will say no more!

I know that the idea of going to a beauty school is a bit terrifying for a lot of people. But I have gone here a whole lot of times for various services and always walked out happy. Just a quick note to the wise, when you call ahead to make an appointment, you can request a senior student. These are the people that have the most experience under their belt, so it's worth the extra dollar or two they'll charge. I have very low-maintenance hair, so I have gone in for cuts and trims, and I've only ever had one trim that didn't look quite how I wanted it (it was a guy...who has short hair...so maybe I took a bit of a risk letting him near my hair.) But like I said, my hair's low-maintenance. I probably wouldn't recommend you come here for more complicated things like highlights or a drastic cut. But they also offer other services for cheap. I once went in for a basic facial, and they ended up upgrading me to a European facial free of charge just because that was what the student needed to pass off. It was cheap and felt so unbelievably good! I've also had other services done like mani/pedi, deep conditioning and scalp treatments, etc. Like any good salon, the gossips always in full force, and the conversation is great entertainment. It's a nice cheap way to get a little pampering.

Atmosphere is school-like while offering all types of services from hair, nails, and more. The only complaint I have is the shampoo wasn't completely washed out of my hair. The price is amazing and the instructors are good. The requirements of the program are entirely out of control. When I went to school, we showed up, had class, and took clients. We had to do a certain number of hours and a certain amount of each service to complete the program. At MTECH, my daughter has SO MUCH HOMEWORK. She spends an absurd amount of time studying, doing online work, and taking tests. She was expected to complete perfect, flawless, TIMED haircuts and PERMS in her first months of school. On what planet should an inexperienced student be timed ?!!! She is attending night school her senior year of high school. It feels like she's in medical school with the amount of work she is doing. She's not even getting hours for all of the studying and homework she does outside of school! She writes essay after essay and I'm just in shock because all I had to do was hair on clients during school hours. In the course she is currently in, every single student is on a student success plan which means no one was able to complete the course. But it doesn't ever occur to the school that there's a problem with the course! There have been tests she has failed multiple times because she has to know the names of all the bones in the ankle and other ridiculous facts????? ‍‍‍ I am just baffled. So much for cosmetology school being for dumb blondes. I'm pleased that they have made it structured and are trying to thoroughly educate the students, but it is outrageously over the top. My daughter is extremely organized and hard working. She is just barely surviving this. About half of her orientation class either dropped out or have been dismissed, that's how tough it is. I listen to her rant about the next unreasonable demand placed on her by the school every single week. It is draining. Whoever organized this program needs some Prozac or something.

But the front desk completely changed the tone of the visit. When I arrived to watch my granddaughter, I simply asked where my daughter was. While I was standing right there, the two receptionists referred to my daughter as "the problem client" -- all because she had her baby with her. That comment was unnecessary, unprofessional, and honestly pretty bold to say in front of a family member. Her one‑year‑old sat quietly for two and a half hours without crying, fussing, or disturbing anyone. We even called ahead to confirm it was okay to bring her, and we were told yes. We live in Utah -- families bring their kids places. It's normal, and it certainly doesn't make someone a "problem." And just to be transparent: you caught me on a calm day. All I wanted to do was get to my grandbaby. On a different day, with a comment like that, I might've been the one you considered "the problem." So I'm choosing to address it respectfully here instead of reacting in the moment. Everyone else in the salon was kind and welcoming, but that front‑desk interaction overshadowed an otherwise great experience. I'm not asking for anything; I just want you to be aware of how it came across. Respect and professionalism at the front desk matter, and comments like that stick with people.
