While taking the course there were two days when instructors did not even show up to the class. And when they did, they often did not know what they needed to go over that day because there were so many different instructors and they would not communicate with each other. It took 3 attempts to pass the NREMT as I felt like the education was lacking and I had to teach myself everything in the textbook after class was over. Of those I have talked to from class, only about half of them say they were capable of passing the NREMT, showing a huge flaw in the education received from EMT Utah.

I've had the pleasure of coming here twice in the past month - once for an event hosted by Cache Valley Cheese, and most recently for one of their cookie decorating classes. The space is huge! When you walk in you don't even realize how big it is until you start walking around. They have three large rooms with stoves, ovens - the works! Everything is stunning and so clean and sharp. It's a very welcoming environment as well. They have SO many different classes here, and I can't wait to take more. Their cookie decorating class was a lot of fun for all ages. Any kids under the age of 11 had to be accompanied by an adult. We learned how to decorate different festive cookies. The hosts were both wonderful, and walked around to help everyone. One of the hosts even offered to take some candid photos of us, which was so sweet. I saw on their website that they also host some intimate lunches, where the food is cooked right in front of you and enjoyed in a small group. There is so much that this place offers, and I can't wait to explore more opportunities here.

They have everything you can think of, amazing teachers, snack table, massage chair, specialty food each day. Day 1 was fresh super soft and tasty bagels, Day 2 was fresh donuts, there is a popcorn day and a sno cone day... all for $1.00. They have vendor galore here .. need a new case.. get it here..a new music book.. it's here, new bow, cello, violin, ukulele... it's all here. For lunch they have options if you don't/can't leave campus and if you didn't bring something. They also have younger sibling watch ... only $180 for the whole week for the entire day. That's a steal for me coming from Chicago! Suzuki style string learning is wonderful and this camp really makes it fun for my daughter and puts her to work at the same time. She's learning so many new skills here and it will ultimately make her a stronger violin player.

There is something so powerful in their therapeutic model of taking the boys out and giving them adventures. I so appreciated that Matt would spend 4 days a month with the boys doing something cool! Giving him the chance to see the the boys in real time - how they handled the things that they were experiencing. I feel it was a really great stepping stone in my son's journey - learning that he was capable, and finding self love. We had a fantastic…read moreexperience at Family First but went into the next phase completely blindly, trusting the success stories of other families who went there along with our therapeutic consultant who knew Crossroads was the best in the business. I talked to 2 young men, now in college, about their experience at Crossroads and they both assured me it was the best thing that ever happened to them. We were scared, had no clue how it would play out but 9 months later - it was the best thing that ever happened to us as well. We are incredibly grateful for our amazing 9 month experience at Crossroads. From the very beginning, Sam went above and beyond. The awesome staff created a safe, structured and compassionate environment for the boys to grow and build confidence. The therapeutic support was fantastic. We're still working with his amazing therapist Noah post-treatment. Watching our son grow over time through our family sessions was truly remarkable. He came home with practical tools and coping strategies that he continues to use every day. Tyson, the substance use counselor, has been absolutely incredible. His ability to resonate and communicate is on another level. Our son works with him as well post-Crossroads and speaks so highly of him. The therapeutic team has been remarkable. The academic program was personalized and ensured he not only stayed on track but he graduated a year early. Cindy, the education coordinator, is beyond amazing. She coordinated weekly subject and ACT tutors. She has helped us so much post-Crossroads as he applied to several colleges and needed various things from her throughout the process. Cindy is a true gem!! Coultin, the house manager, was super organized and a great communicator. He made sure our son kept up with his eye doctor, allergist, orthodontist, etc - along with coordinating everything in between. We actually ended up liking the doctors more in Ogden than here in Dallas - truly impressive! Crossroads helps everyone individually find their passion. There's something for everyone. Our son skied 45 times, worked out daily, went wake boarding/surfing and enjoyed weekly guitar lessons from Max G. The kids traveled to St George, Pineridge, Yellowstone, Lake Powell and even Costa Rica! Outside of home visits he also came with our family on international trips to Columbia and Italy. Watching our son transform at Crossroads - both emotionally and personally has meant the world to us. We definitely had ups and downs throughout but that's the only way to grow. The program made him stronger, more self-aware and ready to take on the next chapter of his life with clarity and confidence. We can't recommend this school highly enough to any family seeking a therapeutic environment where kids are supported and set up to thrive. Everyone was amazing but a special shout out to Noah, Tyson, Cindy, Coultin, Noah R, Max G, Garrett K, Tyler B, Max J, Nick R, Jake, Drew, Sam, Eric, Derek and anyone else we're forgetting. The last time I got a senior haircut there, it was $5. Today it was $8. The scalp treatment was supposed to be $3.50. Today it was $8.00! They are not allowed to advertise one price and charge another. When I told the clerk those prices were not on their official website, she just grunted, "well, I'll tell somebody"! She said the prices changed two months ago. This type of operation is not acceptable.

What I experienced was nothing short of miraculous, and I was relieved of the burden of much trauma (bullying) that I had experienced and made significant changes on my life based on what occurred there. So impressed was I that I took the course, ponied up 3000.00 for a year (a bargain) and began learning how to do the work. That was 25 years ago. I have done hundred if not thousands of processes for people, some with significant and deep issues, I have seen tremendous results. This is not therapy, and that is made clear from day one, we are not "licensed" by the state. However, you can come on the 3rd thursday of every month and see how this is done. Go take a look for yourself, there is ZERO pressure to do anything or pay anything. There is NOTHING shady going on here, just people trying to figure out their issues and getting help as needed.

Please read this if you're considering this program…read more.. I am in finals week of my first semester of the accelerated associates program here. There are 7 classes you have to take in the first, 5 in the 2nd, 3 in the 3rd, 4 in the 4th, and 4 in the 5th. In my first semester, here is the good and the bad that I have observed: The bad: I have multiple classes from my local community college that I was told could be transferred over to make me program easier. They even said that I should go do another class at my community college before my Joyce program starts so that I didn't have to pay for it with them. They said that my program would be 15 months instead of 20 months. They said that people have kids and work full-time while doing this program. They said that they are flexible. All this is NOT the case. I found out later, (AFTER THEY SOLD ME THE PROGRAM, after I finished all enrollment requirements, and after I signed every enrollment document), that only one small class could be transferred over from my community college. I also found out that my program would not be 15 months, it would be 20 months. This was extremely disappointing because the transfer of credits and shorter program is what made me sign up for this program. Very strange miscommunication, if thats even what it was. Seems pretty big for a advisor to get wrong. I took this all to the dean, she did not care. All she did was ask me if I wanted to cancel my program. I was years and months into waiting to start this program at this point, canceling was not an option for me, especially with how much flexibility they claim to have, which is also not the case. I had to quit my full-time job, I don't even have kids and I still don't have time for anything. I'm barely getting by. I spend every waking hour of the day studying. I do not believe that there are people who have kids and work full-time while doing this program, I think they say it because it sounds good. If I knew about all of the bad before I committed to the program, I wouldn't have done it. I have given up so much mental health and physical health. Plus saying no to seeing family because I need to study is really sad. But I mean, it is an accelerated program anyway, but still wasn't expecting any of it due to the way they make it seem like sunshine and rainbows. The good: This is only my experience from the first semester. That being said, it is still absolutely doable. It is not impossible. And I have since changed my advisor (Doug) and he has helped me tremendously, leading me in the right direction now. There are many resources for for students from tutoring to one on one with your professor. They do weekly office hours where you can join a zoom and have any questions answered. You can reach out to them over email and they'll help you there (though sometimes they take kinda too long to reply to the point where you don't even need the answer to the question because it's too late, honestly). The material matches a lot of separate online resources that help with other study materials, like youtube videos. The academic schedule during the semesters (the first one at least), are pretty organized in my opinion and they do the same things every week. This is really nice for having a nice study schedule. They provide lots of material that is made for the quizzes and exams to help you practice and pass. The only thing I've struggled with is just having time to do it. Whatever is on your worksheets and slides, will usually be worded the same on the quizzes and exams. Sometimes, they even tell you exactly what questions are going to be on the quizzes and exams to help prepare you. They let you use a whiteboard during the tests too, which is nice for active recall, you can right down a bunch of stuff after you start your tests. I've also never had any technical difficulties on the cavas platform that they use, but if there is, they have 24hr IT support that responds fast. One time I was having an issue with respondus and my professor was very forgiving and relieved me of my late grade. I personally feel like the professors want success in the students. Some other random stuff: The platforms are easy to navigate. They always answer the phone. And the scrubs are cute, lol. Theres probably a lot that I'm missing here, maybe I'll add more later.

I interviewed with Ariz**a college of nursing when it 1st opened in UT and they said they just didn't want me to go to Joyce, then I mentioned this when I spoke to G***yn and they TOLD ME "don't go to Joyce" which was so weird, THEN the advisor laughed about how the employees at their college and others write negative reviews about Joyce and thought it was funny even though It is not true, I WAS SHOCKED. I called Joyce to tell them because that was so weird, and that's just not cool. I I called I started talking to an advisor and it made me give time a 2nd try. Originally I worked with a guy named Aaron he was nice and very informative and this time I worked with a girl named Britney. I vibed alot more with her and you could tell she loved her job. I will be graduating in dec and my experience has been amazing I am so glad I listened to my gut and co workers about Joyce. Honestly, if you are a decent student who just wants to get in school, get out and start working as an RN having a good quality degree, and just want to have support along the way, even when you're done.... Joyce is it, at-least go in and interview and see for your self. I don't normally write reviews but I wanted to share my experience and hopefully it helps others look past the false reviews.
