So curiously we followed the crowd and they all had congregated in the bakery and deli area. The prices are VERY affordable as compared to the tourist trap stores. A lot of the locals shop here and this market is always busy! So if you want a cup of coffee with a Custard tart, or coffee with a nice buttered bun, combined, it cost us 2.09 euros! There is a small sitting area to eat your stuff, but the unsaid expectation was to "eat and run" since a steady stream of people were also taking this opportunity for a great deal! A convenient location to get groceries as our hotel was also right down the street!

What can I say? It's a supermarket! (Lol!) The stores we've visited were well-appointed, stocked, and modern. If you like meats and fish, they've got it all fresh. Being plant-based, Pingo is not the most stocked as far as those items go; but, it does contain a number of products for us. And, too, the prices are all very comparable, if not cheaper, than what we pay back in our local Hannaford back in the States. In sum, Pingo Doce is a very fine supermercado to go to when in Lisboa! :D
