Continente at Colombo is the largest shopping centre that I came across during my trip to Lisbon. The supermarket is one of the largest shops located within the mall
The store was clean and the layout was easy to follow, even for me, a non-native to Portugal who had never visited a Continente before, it just felt somewhat familiar and made sense.
The selection within the store was very good, for produce and fresh counters for meat, fish, cheese and baked goods.
I was able to find the products I was looking for in stock or at least a similar alternative.
Prices were reasonable in most areas, although many items, especially branded ones, seemed more expensive compared to back home in the UK, even coffee, which is funny as I noticed Nespresso was slightly cheaper here, but the capsules in the supermarket cost more.
While the store overall was relatively comfortable and attractive, the checkout area felt like we were going back 10-15 years, it felt crowded and outdated.
A very good supermarket overall, it follows the regular shopping centre opening hours of 8 am-midnight which again is very good for those who prefer to get groceries in the evening when it is quieter. 4* read more
