We were to have it done next week, but finally, it is going to rain continuously. Could Titus squeeze us in. Yes!!! In comes the equipment. Protective layers to protect your lawn are laid down. Expertly, the stumps and root balls are removed. Dirt shaken off, regraded and new riprock put down. It was fascinating to watch. And boy, those root balls are big. Titus was here well past dinner. The installers took great care when driving the Dingo through the gate opening and planting the tree. However, in the spring of 2026, only half the tree produced foliage. We emailed the company and asked if we should apply spring fertilizer to help it along. We received no response. A week later we called Columbus Trees and were told to send photos. We sent two photos of the tree: one from the day it was planted with full foliage and another of the tree this spring with only half the tree producing leaves. The owner, Andrew, called, apologized for the delay in getting back to us, offered to replace the Redbud with a selection of our choice, and made some suggestions that would fit our requirements. We are waiting to schedule the installation of the replacement tree.
