For a larger Bed & Breakfast in terms of the property itself, it felt super warm and cozy. The common areas were really nice and the rooms were perfect. The location can't be beat as you are right in the middle of the North Fork surrounded by great wineries, restaurants, and beaches. As to the breakfast portion of the "B & B"? Let's just say we didn't need to eat the rest of the day. It was fantastic. Our hosts - Dave and Donna - were just so nice and we not only enjoyed staying at their house, but really enjoyed sitting and chatting with them during our visit. They do a great job and made us feel welcome. If you are heading to the North Fork, it's a perfect place to settle in for a night or more. The room was spacious, and well appointed. Loved the four poster bed in the Dogwood suite, and bed was comfy. Also loved that I was next door to the Keeler Tavern Museum. Loved getting to look at a place my ancestors had visited. Beautiful property. Breakfast was small but nice: small quiche, small selection of pastries, coffee/ tea, some cheeses. Josie was great. She showed us around our floor (when you rent a room you get the entire floor) and talked about locking up and things like that. The Breakfast portion is on the lighter side. Cereal and juice are available. Josie offered to get pastries in the morning but we said we didn't need it, there are too many great places for brunch in the neighborhood. The rooms were clean, the main bathroom seemed brand new (the second bathroom in the bedroom was nice to have as well) and the location was fantastic. I'd much rather pay a little more to stay here as opposed to getting a hotel on the other side of Park Slope. If you need a place to stay in Park Slope I recommend considering this place.

You want a fast break, you don't want to house hunt, you don't have enough people for a share, you don't want to stay in a horrible depressing flea bag for in-city rates - you just want a room that doesn't scare you for the few hours you are going to actually crash in it before jumping up to greet the dawn by the bay, hop on a loaner bike and take off, or walk till you drop on the beach.
