By quaint I mean 6,500 square feet with enough pull-out couches to fit a small circus. The good: -Never ran out of hot water! -Almost every room had a flat screen TV. -I think the North Pole threw up in this house. Christmas trees EVERYWHERE. It was glorious. -Complete kitchen with everything a group on clowns could possibly need (pitchforks for s'mores, got'em) -Amenities galore, check the website. The bad: -I was expecting there to be snow and it was 60 degrees outside during the day. -One night I slept in the sun-room in the master bedroom and it got really hot in the morning...but I guess that's why they call it a sun-room. -Playing volleyball on the fake-grass area is tough because the ball kept going down the hill. -We didn't pack enough food so we had to hit up the nearby Safeway. My boyfriend and I were invited by a good friend & there were 7 of us total. No particular agenda or specific plans were made for this little trip, but we were plenty occupied and engaged the entire time. We stayed in the Saloon/Guesthouse (which Robin built, by the way!) and it was plenty of space for everyone. Upon arriving Saturday morning, we met Robin & Karla and proceeded to unload our vehicles. After that, we spend some time observing their horses and soaking in the beautiful weather. Robin & Karla were filling us in on some of the history of the area. I could listen to them talk for DAYS. They're such great storytellers and their passion for digging into the past in an effort to preserve it is really admirable. After about a hour or so, Robin took us out into the woods.. Not sure exactly where we went, but he hopped on his quad and we followed behind (caravan of SUVs & pickup trucks). The road was windy and bumpy and we got some weird looks from the cattle as we blazed passed. We spent a few hours hiking down to some water while Robin filled us in on more history. Some of us panned for gold, others explored the area (found an abandoned mine) or fired some rounds nearby. It was a nice, relaxing morning. We went back to the Inn around 130p and Robin started showing us how to rope. A couple of us gave it a shot.. I didn't. I just stood back & took photos :) Then around 330p, we went up the road to a winery for a tasting (Bruzzi Vineyard.. I'll review separately). We returned a couple hours later with several bottles of wine and started cooking/grilling dinner. Robin & Karla joined us for dinner and conversation in the saloon. We played pool & had a very relaxing evening. Sunday morning didn't really have much on the agenda. After breakfast, Robin & Karla took us up the road to the Hogland General Store and gave us a tour of the structures on the land. Again, more information about the history and the people that lived in Young years ago. It was all very interesting. We will definitely be back & hope to have time for a longer stay.

Attempted check in yesterday (Monday August 17) at about 6pm. I was in town conducting a cooking…read moreclass at the Legacy Ranch, a 25,000 sq ft private estate in the area.(HIGHLY recommend, by the way.) As the class ended I was feeling increasing ill, and by the time I loaded my truck with my entire BBQ kitchen, I vomited several times before leaving. I was recently prescribed a glp from my provider for sleep apnea, and while I had the occasional bout of nausea and occasional vomiting, this was different. Do you know the feeling where it takes too much energy to lift your head, and you just want to curl into the fetal position and die?...yeah that was me when I arrived at the front desk. I had not eaten all day and was dry heaving, as there was nothing in my stomach but the little water I was drinking to prevent dehydration. Initially, the front desk agent was very helpful, she offered to let me sit in the lobby as she processed the reservation. I explained that I had the chills, and would need to go outside. She requested to run a credit card for $250 deposit, and I explained that it was on Google Pay on my phone and handed it to her. She seemed dumbfounded and said she did not believe they took Google pay..she wanted a card number exp. date, cvc code, etc...which my wallet Google wallet does not provide for obvious reasons. Meanwhile I got sick again in the trash can outside the hotel, and begged her to hurry and figure it out. By now, she had called a maintenance man for back up, to whom she asked "...do we take Google Pay?" (Yes, she asked the guy who drives a golf cart around the propery about accepted payment methods). to which he just shrugged his shoulders. At this point I was desperate, and I retrieved my business phone to see if I could obtain the bed Id paid for. No luck...as I was bent over the trash can outside, the maintenace man returned and told me that I was being asked to leave the property immediately, or he woukd call the police. Dumbfounded, I asked him why and he responded "we don't want you making a scene in front of our customers, (there were none in the fifteen minute exchange) and my general manager, was afraid I would be sick in our room." "So, leave the property NOW or I'll call the police and they will be here VERY fast." When I called the next day and spoke with the General Manager Cindy, she explained it was actually the assistant g.m. Krystal Kruze who oredered me off the property from her phone, presumably at home. On a brief converstation with them on conference, the next morning they again said they do not accept Goole Pay for the $250 deposit, (unlike virtually every other retail merchant in America with a modern card verifier) I said "...really? Then how is it that my Paypal account was attepted a charge from your hotel for $250 last night at 6 pm??" There was a pause, and Cindy replied "It was declined" "But, you just told me that you dont have the capacity or inclination to accept the payment method in the previous sentence? At this point I requested her Supervisors contact information, to which Cindy declined to furnish either a name or phone number for her supervisor. A general manager refusing to furnish corporate contact or escalation information to hide a guest complaint is a serious breach of standard hospitality protocol and ettiquette.
