A real quality establishment, good for the vibes on a weekend outing. They do a good pineapple sorbet reminiscent that of Disneyland. What else could you ask for. The hula girl on the top if the stand is definitely sauce. if you're a somebody in Springfield Missouri, you'll be found here rubbing shoulders with some of the best of the best. I liked the different flavor of the week, only thing to complain about is the bugs and the location, invest in some pest control. But hey who could get mad at someone who makes such an iconic product. Bravo read more

Always look forward to Pineapple Whip season. Sometimes the line can be long but it's worth it

Love these fun and yummy treats. I try not to eat it too much because it's very sweet but when I do get one, I enjoy it. The flavor is pineapple and a rotating random fruity flavor at 3 different locations. My favorite is the grape and pineapple. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I realized I got ripped off a few hours later at the Campbell location. The girl didn't give me the correct change so I basically paid $18.25 for 3 cups. Oh well I was too busy talking to my family so I didn't even notice lol. Other than that, great place to enjoy a day/night out with friends and family to have a delicious treat! I was visiting Springfield for a wedding and a Springfield native told me to try pineapple whip before i left. I got the pineapple soft serve and it was yummy! The ice cream wasn't too sweet nor sour. It was a perfect pineapple flavor. PSA: THEY ONLY TAKE CASH!!!! read more

This place...I don't even have enough words to describe how proud I am that pineapple whip is a business started right here in Springfield! If you have never been, you are really missing out on an awesome way to cool off on a hot day. If the hula girl on top of the truck isn't enough to draw you in then the huge line on a hot day should be! (don't worry it moves super quick!) This little food truck generally offers two flavors at any given time, I think I might have seen three before but I could be wrong! The staple dish "Pineapple whip" is always available but they have a couple of other flavors that they change up every now and then. I love it when they have grape. There are very few things in this world as refreshing and tasty as a grape, pineapple whip, twist! Pineapple whip in a cup or in a cone is a tasty treat enjoyed by tons of Springfieldians every spring and summer. Good stuff! This place was recommended to me. I guess if you are from here originally it's something you already know of. They sell two flavors. Pineapple and a rotating one that changes. The random ones I have had were always a two fruit combo. Don't quote me but the last one I had was mango/peach I think. They have all been really good. One was pomegranate and something. You can get a straight flavor or get a mix of the classic pineapple and the random in a swirl. It comes out like soft serve. Is very sweet and melts very fast. It has no creamy texture yet is still very soft. It's definitely it's own thing with nothing I could compare it to that would help describe it. I started initially getting cones. But I found it melts far to fast and now just get a bowl. Same price. Same size. You can also get a larger take home container. I want to say the cup/cone price was two dollars and some change. And bring some too btw. It's cash only. Anyway give it a try. It's delicious. read more

Two big thumbs up! On a cross country road trip we pulled into Springfield for a quick Chinese dinner and overnight. As we drove down Battlefield Rd, neon lights and a mechanical hula girl caught our eye. We knew right away, Pineapple Whip was a place we had to check out. This place feels like an American Classic. Family-owned and operated, they make one of the best frozen treats I've ever had. It's this delightful fruit juice based soft serve that is remarkably dairy-free. While we each ordered the classic pineapple, we sampled the alternative (it happened to be grape tonight) and we would have been pleased with either choice. But more than just a great product, Pineapple Whip is an experience. Zach, who's part of the family that owns and operates these three gems, was a great ambassador for the city. He made us feel right at home. We chatted for a bit, learned the story of the business and promised ourselves that we'd return the next time our travels lead us this way. The stand is dog-friendly and our pooch had a great time on her visit as well. All in all, you'd be making a serious mistake if you didn't stop into Pineapple Whip on a road trip through Springfield. read more

New season and new prices. Yep that's right they have raised the price to $2.50 and cut the serving size. Very disappointing! Don't mind paying more for a fair serving size. The girl working apparently couldn't speak as she just looked at us never said a word like "welcome to Pineapple Whip what can I get for you". read more
