All three iof my pups got fixed on 3/11- and the staff was so Friendly and welcoming, my dogs even were comfortable with the staff :) There was a slight issue/mis communication as we adopted one dog but planned for our 2 non adopted dogs to also get fixed at the same time. I'd definitely call ahead if you've adopted a dog from a rescue and this place is a place they pay for this service- and plan on having any other dogs fixed or spayed at the same time. Seems there's a break in communication from the adoption/rescue. I can never remember my appointment times, so I bug the poor receptionists repeatedly. They are always kind and courteous. I have seen Dr. Zellar and Dr. Ferguson. I can tell Dr. Ferguson loves birds. I always feel at ease after she sees a member of my flock. She was kind enough to do a consult with me when I had a very sick budgie. Dr. Zellar has seen a couple of my birds and found an infection with one of them. She has also seen my bearded dragon. I was so worried about my beardie, thanks to Dr. Zellar, her shedding is much better than it was before. If it was a option to give zero stars I would. We have been with this vet for a while and recently took my 2 yr old fur baby to a urgent vet appointment. Poor baby was there all day and miss diagnosed. Was sent home with the with more meds (the wrong meds) and instructions to wait 24 to 48 hours to see improvement, and if none he will need to see a specialist. Due to the meds they gave my pet actually caused more damage to what was wrong. So by the time he was real bad it was to late to save him. We had no choice but to put him down. If my pet was sent to the specialist without waiting 24 to 48 hours, my fur baby would still be cuddling on the couch with me. So the moral for this review is, I will never go to this place again nor will ever recommend this vet to anyone. This was a horrific and devastating experience and got nothing but rude attitudes from the front staff in the end. read more

I'm so disappointed, I'm not sure where to begin. But they customers service is terrible, and they were even rude when I asked for help. Unbelievable, the doctors might be nice but I don't recommend calling. I told them my cat was sick on Sunday, (call the next day) they had no appointments, so i needed to go somewhere else, then I called them again. The reception very rudely said, we don't have any appointments until next Friday. Seriously, they are horrible. read more

My neighbor had a horrible experience here last week. She found her dog limo and lifeless in her backyard but did notice it was breathing shallowly. She raced into Pine Tree because that was her routine vet clinic for both her dogs. They refused to stabilize her dog that was lifeless in her arms, in front of them, due to a "full case load!" They Turned her dog and her away and told her to try an emergency vet. Knowing that her pet wasn't going to make 40 min more to the nearest ER Vet, instead she went to Animal Hospital of Maple Valley, next to Safeway, 1 min down the road, and they stabilized the dog and saved her life. I will never bring my dog here or spend my money at Pine Tree. My dog isn't just a number or a case. It's my family. If my dog was in there for a routine check up, I would have gladly steeped aside to allow the vet to care for someone's limp dog that just arrived. I have been to Animal Hospital of Maple Valley many times, and they always know my dogs by name and take us without appointments. They are quick, professional and act like they genuinely care about my pets. I will NEVER go to a place that has treated my neighbors pet like Pine Tree did. I highly suggest that they they reevaluate their priorities. Business shouldn't be just about making money. read more

The staff at Pine Tree Veterinary are truly amazing! I woke up one morning and my hamster was really not doing well. She was a little over 3 years old, I knew it was her time to go. I called everywhere because I wanted to put her out of her pain, and no one could fit her in. When I called Pine Tree they said they were full, but the staff was amazing and said they could squeeze her in. Unfortunately, there wasn't much they could do so I decided it was time to put her down. I was very upset but the staff was so kind and made it a little easier! They gave me treats to give her, and let me spend a couple minutes before it was time to let her go. It was quick and painless! A week later I received this in the mail and it really warmed my heart! Pine Tree staff are the best! They are loving and really care for our pets. Our 17 year old cat Tia gets incredible care to help her in all the issues she has to deal with in her old age. My daughter brings her pet rats here and her sweet Willy albino rat was getting older had neurological issues and recently passed away. I had to take my sun conure here because at Sumner vet, they kept making his claws bleed with every trim, and one of his feathers wasn't trimmed properly, so he kept picking at it, and bleeding. If you know anything about birds, you'll know that they can rapidly bleed to death, so I was VERY unhappy. It also didn't help that the vet who would see us would always imply that his living conditions weren't up to par...considering he gets mounds of healthy food, fresh water and has 3 different cages, I don't see why I should be condescendingly grilled every time we came in, so...I switched. We have been bringing our pets here for about 2 years now. They were helpful and did the best they could to help give our senior dogs the best end of life care that they could. With our new puppies they have been helpful in the vaccination process, getting them fixed and overall puppy care. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The only thing that I wish would improve is the response to voicemails and difficulty getting through on the main line. I have found that using the email address is the easiest way to get ahold of them and have questions and other things followed through on. Other then that they have been great! I have been a client of Pine Tree for many years and spent way too much time here the past couple of years. They were all very kind and supportive through the exhausting task of treating two cats in chronic renal failure and I couldn't have asked for better treatment for both. My remaining cats are clients and I am very happy with the care they receive. People who complain because the clinic can't take a pet in need of emergency care should get real and accept that in today's world, even emergency clinics are overwhelmed and turning away patients. Pine Tree is doing a wonderful job juggling the covid restrictions and protecting clients and staff to ensure their continued ability to provide quality care. Updated. We have spent quite a bit of money here on services for our Aussie. Including dentals, shots and check ups as well as monthly/quarterly treatments. The dog is fixed. However when I needed a simple statement that he was fixed, in order to buy a new county license.... they refused outright. I couldn't believe it. They didn't want money or anything just refused to state he's been fixed. The time they took to reply to my email to say no they could have said "our record show the dogs been neutered". **. My 20 year old Grey started laying eggs!! Having never been to the vet I thought I should have her established with one to make sure I have some place to take her should there be a need. Dr. Ferguson and her Staff was gentle and loving, very knowledgeable and gave some great advice to help put me at ease with my Grey laying eggs. Dr. Ferguson listened as I explained moods and behavior (both established and new) and provided insight as well as praise. I was worried I would be judged for never had taken my Grey to any vet before.. but there hasn't been a need. She doesn't pluck, hasn't been sick, etc. They did not judge! I have been a loyal Pine Tree Vet customer for a few years. I recently took my 6-month-old kitten Zeus to the Pine Tree vet on January 23, 2021, due to his skin allergy issues. Zeus has not shown any improvement in the condition of his skin. After changing the medication twice and several calls that I had with the staff and indicating the skin condition that has not improved and leaving several messages so that Dra. Zellar can offer me a call back to see how Zeus's situation can be improved. Dra. Zellar has not been willing and courteous to return my calls. Today, Jan 26/2021 I call and request to have a call with the Pine Tree Veterinary owner Dra. Ferguson and the office manager to explain the current situation and search for the best way to treat Zeus with his skin condition. I guess this may be an isolated situation. But need to share my experience with everybody. read more

This place has been nothing but problems. First it started with my dog having to go in for a check up. I picked up my dog and noticed that the leach was totally chewed up and when i asked the tech what happen she said it fell. I talked with the vet about it and they reimbursed me for it. I wasn't going to go back but thought to try again. After getting my dog back from an appointment a couple weeks later he started itching and having skin issues. I sent a photo and waited for a response after the weekend . Nothing, so i called and asked when the Veterinarian would be available to look at my email. The lady on the phone said the vet was not in yet. I asked when she was going to be in and she said she is too busy to look at my email today. There is no need to be rude and snarky. :( read more

I was very disappointed. I called to find out if they have a vet that could do surgery on my dog's eye cherry. I was told the vet needed to examine her first so I could get an estimate on the cost of the surgery. My daughter took her in. They examined her then gave us referrals for the surgery. They could have just told me they don't do that surgery and gave me a referral. Sounds like money grabbers. read more
