I changed my vet to Four Corners Vet because I got the best loving service I ever have had at any vet ever. My fur baby was so sick with kennel cough (didn't know this when I called) and no vet or animal hospital could get me in. I trekked vets from Enumclaw to Renton. Blue Pearl had a 9 hour wait and Sumner Animal Hospital had 9-11 hour wait. They not only squeezed me in but also discovered he has an ear yeast infection. Because of the nature of my job I could not take any time off this week and I didn't know what was wrong with him. The gals at the front desk worked miracles and I am forever grateful. If you are looking for a veteran I recommend Four Corners Vet 100%. They obviously understand how we love your fur babies and want to be helpful. read more

We love Dr Smith and his staff. We have been bringing our dogs here for 26 years and have been very happy with how they care for them.

Dr. Smith is horrible, callous, mercenary and incompetent. The rest of the staff is great, but unfortunately cannot make up for Dr. Smith's inadequacies. We've been taking our dog and cat here for years. Last September we took our then 13-year-old dachshund in when she was extremely sick, was losing weight, drinking copious amounts of water and overall going downhill quickly. Dr. Smith determined (correctly) that she was suffering from diabetic ketoacidosis. He recommended that we put her down. We were heartbroken, but thought he must be right since she looked so poorly. Dr. Smith made sure to tell us that if we wanted to be in the room with her when she was put to sleep it would be an additional $80. Just to be there so our dog would be with her family in her last moments. It was extremely off-putting, particularly since we hadn't even asked about those details at that point. Fortunately, we had the sense to take her to the Blue Pearl pet E.R. with a wonderful doctor who told us her prognosis was excellent with twice daily insulin shots and a carefully regulated diet. Because Blue Pearl doesn't do regular care, we had to go back to 4 Corners to get her prescription diet and blood glucose testing to determine how much insulin she should be given. After a full day of testing I came in to pick her up and met with Dr. Smith for him to go over her test results. Despite our dog having been with the staff the entire day, and despite the fact that Dr. Smith was holding paperwork with all her information, he repeatedly referred to her as "he" and got her name wrong. Recently I brought her in for a checkup, and he had the gall to infer that because we declined further testing once her insulin levels were stabilized we were poor pet owners. This from the vet who recommended that we kill her a year ago. Again, he couldn't even get her name or gender right. He even refused to give me the details of the checkup we paid for because we didn't want the extra testing done. Long overdue, but we will no longer be taking our pets to this unprofessional, incompetent doctor. read more

The worlds worst customer service from start to finish. Not only did they call me to bring my new puppy in 15 minutes late. I then I realized I had accidentally gone to the vet across the street, and told them I would be there in 30 seconds ... literally..... then the receptionist began fighting with me telling me it's my own fault that I wasn't there on time??????? Yet I was waiting in my car for the appt 20 minutes early...my appt time came & went... and THEY were 15 minutes late even calling me to come in..... 5:40 passes & she then went ahead and told me she's going to put the next person in line in front of me and I would have to wait another half hour . I asked her why in the world that would be the case considering they were the ones running late!!!! in the amount of time she was arguing with me, I was sitting in the parking lot by that time ready to go & she still refused to let my dog be seen. I asked to speak to the vet she then went ahead and hung up on me ! But yet they were 15 minutes late to my appointment ? I would never recommend this place to anybody purely based on the customer service is absolutely horrid ! read more

The lack of professional decorum that this clinic displayed is absolutely unbelievable! Last year when our puppy got very sick (mind you we had established care for her here at 8 weeks old), we tried to get her in but they were overbooked for the next 3 days. We could not wait to have her seen, fearing the worse, so we found an urgent Banfield clinic that could get her in. Meanwhile, the medicine we got her helped and she recovered. We just got her annual check-up card in the mail, and scheduled her check up for this week. Today and yesterday, I received phone calls to call the clinic. When I spoke with the office lady Heather, I was told that due to the fact that we took our dog (now 14 months old) somewhere else in early 2021, that we could no longer be patient at this clinic. I have never had this happen before, or even heard of this happening before. Because we didn't want to wait 3 days or pay them a $40 per day charge, they said they can no longer see our puppy ever again and are dropping her as a patient. We were simply advocating for our puppy they now don't want to see the puppy. We are just now finding this out because she was due for 1 yr. checkup... Do yourself a favor stay as far away from this vet if you value your pet's life!!!! read more

They're okay here but also way stuck in the past. Used to take my pets her, but moved away, asked them to email vax records for boarding, they couldn't do it because they don't have email, and don't even have internet. How can a business in 2018 not have internet? It's not even expensive. Comcast business starts at $70 a month. I'd wager good money that they are losing more than that in wasted time, lost opportunities and lost customers. It's just bizarre. read more

I took my new puppy here. Overall it was totally underwhelming. My poor puppy was totally uncomfortable and miserable. We tolerated it, although we discussed ditching the appt. we won't be back. they need to understand the mind-set of a new puppy mom and be a more caring/sympathetic/etc. read more

This clinic is wonderful! I brought our rescue pup Wilson here today and was impressed from beginning to end. I called to make an appointment, hoping to get in same day and they did just that. The vet tech who answered my call was very kind, knowledgeable and understanding of my concerns. When I walked in I was greeted genuinely and was helped right away. The clinic was quiet and Wilson who's recently had a few bad experiences at a different clinic (think catheter experience gone wrong) was at ease, what a relief! Dr. Brook Evans and her staff were beyond what I expected, you can really tell their team loves animals. You won't find coffee, cushy chairs or a TV in the waiting room, it's not a fancy smancy place. But what you do find is much more important, a team that cares, is knowledgeable and listens. It's nearly 2020 and they are stuck in the stone henge times. They don't email, text, or use any other convenient method of communication if you just have a quick medical question in regards to your pets ongoing care. They operate by snail mail, fax, or most certainly an office visit to charge you more. The office is oddly outdated and the staff lack much personality or knowledge or training of working efficiently. It's been nearly a MONTH of reminding them to send records to another vet as well as wanting me to come in for more expensive and unnecessary tests. There's only ONE doctor. I will be looking for another vet and I'm baffled that this place is still operating. read more

I have brought 4 different dogs to this clinic over the years. Always had great experiences with Dr. Evans. Last visit with my 10 mo Rottie, who has always gone to this clinic, and after the usual trip to the back room without the owner, he was brought back to the exam room and was skiddish. Then I was informed that he needed to be muzzled for the first time in his life. (Odd for a dog that is going through AKC CGC and is always complimented on being a good candidate for competition obedience to need a muzzle.) It seemed from Dr. Smith's body language that he may be fearful of giant breeds. So a weigh in, temp that I had to restrain him for, and a lump rub I'm out $50. Then I find out Dr. Evans is gone. Staff is great, but may need to look for new vet or where Dr. Evans ended up. Disappointed. read more

Dr. Evans is the best vet I have ever known. She is caring, comforting and professional and she is extremely skilled. Even if you don't live near this veterinary clinic, it is worth the drive. I have had three pet emergencies and through each one, I got excellent service at a fair price and what I consider expert treatment. I cannot thank Dr. Evans and her staff enough. I took my VERY sick 6 week old kitten here after I had a not-so-great experience at another Maple Valley clinic. I am so glad I did. They have a separate entrance for cats and dogs which is SUPER nice and avoids any clashing and unnecessary freakouts from skiddish cats and big dogs. Both Dr. Smith and Dr. Evans are great and very experienced. Dr. Evans is compassionate and makes you feel at ease. She makes you feel like she cares about your pet as if they are her own. She's also clearly very knowledgeable and definitely knows her stuff. The ONLY complaint I have is the office/waiting room is a bit dingy. Very clean, just kinda worn down without any amenities available.. Don't let this deter you, however. You're in great hands here! :) read more

I've been going here for quite a while but have recently been questioning why. You're definitely going to pay more than at the "value" vet clinics but sometimes you get what you pay for, I suppose. Part of being a responsible pet owner is making sure they receive quality care from experienced professionals. But two constant aggravations with this clinic are: being put on hold for LONG periods of time when you call (doesn't seem to matter when you call); and waiting for LONG periods of time when you have a SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT! I wish these two inconveniences were just every once in a while - but that's not the case. It's more the rule than the exception. Not sure if they can't find decent staffing or are short-staffed (all the time) but I've been so frustrated over the last couple years I've been contemplating transferring our services to someplace more reliable and customer-service oriented. read more

Very disappointed with this clinic and their clinical decision making. Brought my cat here with a lump in his hip, didn't know this was actually an aggressive vaccination sarcoma at the time. The vet we saw acted as if the tumor was not a huge deal and that we could wait it out and suggested to come back if the tumor got larger. 4 months passed and though I didn't feel a growth in the tumor, my instincts brought me to another vet in the area who was promptly very concerned. She said this area was common for an aggressive type of tumor and wanted to proceed with a needle aspirate - turned out it was indeed a sarcoma. Further testing with a surgical specialist a week later showed that the growth had grown down, where you wouldn't notice its growth. If I hadn't trusted my instincts my fuzzy little buddy would be dead. He no longer has that leg, as the tumor required large margins and had become big enough to warrant the removal of his leg. I only wish I had gone to a different vet to begin with - my little guy might still have his leg :( read more

I've taken all of my animals here for years. Dr. Evans has been exceedingly helpful in diagnosing our animals and coming up with treatment plans that we could afford and maintain. She was very gentle with my older animals, and I genuinely appreciated the sympathy cards that they sent when they heard that our animals passed away- it was well written because they actually knew and cared about our pets. I will continue to take all of my animals here- and would highly recommend them to anyone in the area. read more

The staff were very nice. However, I did not appreciate how they took my dog to the backstage of the clinic for 5-10 minutes to weigh him and take his temperature. This was our first visit and my dog is a rescue dog who has no vet records. No attempt was made to help me learn more about his history, health, age, or breed mix. I was not asked if I had any concerns or even told how much he weighted (I had to call back). I felt like I was pushed out the door prematurely without being given any relevant information or chance to inquire. Not sure what the $50 "exam" consisted of, but I walked out with no more information about my dog than when I came in. They did not even check his eyes or assess his hips, legs, or some old injuries I think he has. Just disappointed with the visit. But they were nice. read more

I have been going to four corner veterinary clinic for a number of years now and I am very pleased with Dr Smith and Dr Evans. I have seen both vets and find they are very honest and caring. This visit my cat Bella was attacked on our deck by a stray cat in our neighborhood. She had to have surgery and she is not a cat that much likes being fooled with. Dr Smith called after her surgery to fill us in on how things went, Bella just had her stitches removed today and Dr Smith's work is beautiful. Jody is a very special person and a big help on answering your questions. I have talked to everyone of Dr Smith's staff through this ordeal and each was very patient caring and told the doctor exactly what I had told them. Thank you Dr Smith, Dr Evans and your entire staff for everything you did for Bella. read more

I've been using this vet for 18 months and been on the fence about them the entire time. I never had a truly terribly experience, it was more just a feeling of mediocrity. The staff is amazing, but both doctors are underwhelming at best. I never got the feeling that they actually cared about my dogs at all, they have both always been very cold--it's all very clinical. One of my dogs has significant anxiety, so you can see how this would pose a problem... Each time I have taken my animals in, it was all about tests, tests and more tests "to gather information." Money is no object when it comes to my animals, but I'd like some reasoning behind their plan of care rather than such vagueness, and if you ask more questions than the norm trying to get more information, it is made very clear that their time is money. I've even been on time for an appointment, made to wait as they were running behind, and then practically forced to make a decision or pushed out the door. There is never just a conversation about the things you could do-you can follow their plan of care, or you can leave, either or. I have actually gotten more useful information from the vet techs at this clinic than I have from the MDs, they know my animals and ask the questions that I wish the doctors would ask, they express concern about the whole pet and have given me pointers that I would have left without... I would expect more than that from my own doctor and I expect more for my animals. Our last visit finally pushed me over the top, I will never take my animals here again. I should have trusted my gut and gone elsewhere from the beginning... read more

So I have been taking my animals to this vet for several years, and my parents had taken their animals to this clinic for approximately 20 years before they moved. I had an experience there that just left a bad taste in my mouth, my dog, which has been in to this very clinic a few times for her check ups and shots, was sick, she had started vomiting blood, I was very concerned for her and called the clinic hoping to get her in ASAP, they couldn't get her in the same day but had an appointment for the next day she could put us down for, which I gladly accepted. I was nearly in tears with concern for my puppy, who wasn't exactly a puppy anymore, she was almost 5 and 190 lbs. But she was my baby, I had her from the time she was 8 weeks old and couldn't even get up stairs by herself yet, she was my baby. But I explained that I was short on money at the moment and wasn't sure how I would pay for her to be seen, thinking they might accept a payment plan or something else, whatever, I didn't really care as long as I could get her in, I had always paid my bills in the past and hoped for some kind of arrangement. The answer to me was really quite a let down and I didn't really get upset about it until after I saw another vet, anyway, her answer to me was that, "what we do in these situations usually, is to send you to another clinic in Kent, they're a little cheaper." OK, so I got off the phone after feeling almost slapped in the face by her answer, and I did end up taking my dog to the clinic in Kent, but they were closed at the time and so we ended up going to the emergency vet in Issaquah, they were very nice, I actually brought my dog home that evening, with no tests being done, it was pretty expensive for the normal blood tests and x- rays that would be pretty standard for a dog vomiting blood, so I hoped it would pass, knowing it probably wouldn't, but not having the money at the time to spend on tests. So I brought her back home, but it continued and she wasn't getting any better, so we went back to the emergency clinic in Issaquah two nights later, this time I did get her tests and while I was extremely disappointed with her results, they were very willing to work with me on paying for her tests and in the end I had to put her to sleep, the hardest thing, both my kids were there when the vet came in with the results of her tests, my dog had something wrong with her blood and she had none of the clotting parts to her blood. So she had to be put to sleep. They even gave me the option to give her a private cremation and get her ashes back after, and they also did a footprint as well, the 4 corners clinic did nothing like that with my last dog they put to sleep. I was going to bring him home and bury him, because I wasn't given an option for a private cremation, my mom helped convince me it would be best to let the vet take care of it, then he was gone. I'm so glad I went to VCA in Issaquah, or I wouldn't be able to have my puppy back with me. I wouldn't recommend this vet to anyone who loves their animals, but might be a little strapped for cash in an emergency, they don't work with you to find a suitable payment plan or anything, they just send you to a different vet. I was very upset with them. read more

I use 4 corner vet all the time. Dr.Evans, female, and Dr. Smith, male, are AWESOME! They have taken care of my babies for over 14 years. The staff are also AWESOME! If you are sad because you have lost one of your babies at the age of 13 1/2 years, one at 15 years 1 month and 7days old, the cry with you. They send you a card, hug you, and in this day and age, where do you find people that care about your babies as much as you do? They care about your babies more than about money. They take their time with your babies and don't miss a thing! You need to check them out. read more

I can't in good conscience recommend anyone goes to this clinic. I was charged over $80 to be told my pup's weight I already knew, that he looked good, and for them to give my pup the wrong shot! Then when I pointed out the mistake, they refused to recognize their mistake, wouldn't give my pup the correct shot even though I offered to pay the difference between the 2 shots, and had the audacity to try to tell me I'd have to waste what they did and what I paid them to do and reload my pup up in a couple weeks to come back and pay full price for them to do it right. I will not return to this clinic, canceled all my future appointments, and recommend to all my friends to go to any other veterinary clinic as I feel like I was personally scammed by 4 corners. UPDATE: after filing with the bbb they offered me a refund. Therefore I increased my rating to 2 stars as they are very friendly people, but can't go any higher as they still should communicate to the owners what they are going to do and why. read more
