Just bought our Christmas tree here last week. We went early afternoon during the week, so it was quiet and we were the only customers there. It took a little while to find the right tree, and then the two friendly employees (husband and wife?) came by to cut it town and take it back to the front to be shaken in the shaker machine. Got the tree home and it looks great ... decorated it yesterday and someone commented about how beautiful and fresh the tree was... and she's super picky so we felt we made a good choice. Came all the way here from Poway for a tree. Called before I came. I asked about pricing. They were dishonest on the phone about pricing. When you arrive there aren't many $ 85 Douglas firs as they claim. And the one they do have, they make you buy a bowl and holder for a ridiculous amount of money unlike any other farm I have ever visited. They only sell extra large bowls and the metal base for 20 more than other farms, they don't have medium or small and the other options are way more pricey but if you want the tree you get stuck with the stiff price of bowls afterward. Me and my small kids turned around and left. While Jen the owner had her nose way high up in the air. All the employees looked at us feeling bad for us as we left. And the lady who was helping me, I thought surely was an employee by her attitude, turns out SHE IS the OWNER. They are not clear about their prices on the phone and don't have supplies that are affordable to go with their trees. Many other same sized Douglas firs were 100 plus. I said I had to go elsewhere for a tree because the bowl and stand were a ripoff, it's the truth. The owner then blatantly refused to return my tree that I had not even touched yet without the itty bitty tag that I threw in my purse. My toddler was having a meltdown and this lady the owner Jen insisted I have this little sticker label. I truly felt trapped by her behavior in the situation. I would say that this is a rude and unprofessional place because of lying about prices, ridiculous surprise cost for a bowl and stand I've ever seen. The trees are mostly dried out! The employees seem helpless and send you back and forth. Don't go here! We went to Pinery Christmas Trees in Escondido and got a 7 foot tree and bowl and metal base all out the door for $75 and the owner was greeting guests, overlooking his employees, guiding them and everyone was knowledgeable and so friendly. It saved me $50 and I got a better tree with everything included. Professionalism and kindness make or break a business! Sorry Jen. I did tell you I would review your business. We left empty handed because of dishonesty, lack of professionalism, and bad customer service. read more

First, I'll say the staff is very friendly and helpful. I believe there is a bit of false advertising going on here. After visiting their website I drove 30 miles to cut down a tree. I was told the trees cost $8 a foot. When I arrived, the selection of trees to cut was very poor. The trees to cut yourself were in poor condition and there weren't many to choose from. They were either dried out, poorly shaped or over 10' tall. I arrived on their third day of sales for the season and was the first person to arrive. They did have a wonderful selection of precut trees which were much more expensive than $8 a foot. I paid $84 for a tree marked 6-7 feet. To make matters worse, they charged me $2 each for shaking and netting the tree. I've never been to a tree farm that charged for those services. The photo of their trees on the website is misleading. I could have driven to a farm much closer to home to buy a precut tree. I was very disappointed. read more

Worth the drive out to Ramona. The kids had a great time. We found the perfect size Douglas Fir. They offer to shake it out, net it and drill holes for you. $2 extra for each, but totally worth it! Great selection of cut your own for $8 a foot or precut trees. Nice employees! There's even a little section for kids to ride reindeers (horses/ponies) and a petting zoo. Each for $5. Free jump house, bean bag toss, cookies, ornament making and Santa picture station. Recommend you come sooner than later so you can enjoy your tree for the holidays. read more

Totally worth the drive here. It was cool to pick out and cut down our own tree. And the amazing thing is that they don't nickel and dime you. For less than $100 we got a freshly cut 8 inch tree. It was netted by really nice people. Someone tied it to the car for us. They had apple cider, ornaments, games, cookies, Santa and a jumpy that our children all did for free. Came out this weekend to get a Christmas tree with the family and got a giant! Everyone was helpful, we ended up cutting one down with the help of the guys there. If I had small kids I would take them here to get a tree. This past Sunday, four adults and three little ones (one of them only eleven months) came out here to get a tree. Our daughter had snagged a $5 off coupon somewhere, and she liked the other activities offered at this facility. As far as the four and six year-olds were concerned, the activities themselves would have been worth it. There were pony rides among the trees ($5), a small petting zoo ($5), as well as two bouncy houses, cookie and ornament decorating (free) and a few other things. An added bonus was that Santa showed up and we wound up being able to take great photographs of the grandkids with him without having to pay for it! (-Unlike at the malls now-a-days...) The trees-to-cut were a bit of a disappointment, but the pre-cut trees were quite nice. We were able to find a decent one for around $68, though the majority seemed to be in the $87 range. read more

We live in Ramona and stumbled upon this place. We absolutely loved the people that work there, and enjoy the selection of Christmas trees. We always get a 10 to 12 foot tree. They can be a little hard to find, but every year we get a tree that looks better than the last. The only reason I did not give this place five stars is because in the 10 to 12 foot range there is not a massive selection, but admittedly this is taller than most people want, and I always find an amazing tree in that range.One year we compared the prices between that of the big box and this Christmas tree farm and they were in line for the size of tree. Last year we found Pine Tree Acres and knew we would be returning. Not only do they have trees to cut down but they have trees that actually look like REAL Christmas trees and not shaved bushes!!! I'm not big for carnival like stuff at my pumpkin patches or Tree farms, the description of the bounce house and reindeer horse rides almost kept me from trying it... So glad it didn't... They really did keep it simple and sweet with just the right amount of extras. No food trucks, not over crowded, and really nice people. I never write reviews, but I had too!! Hands down the best Christmas tree shopping experience. This was my second time coming to a Christmas tree lot were u can cut down your own tree. We opted for one that was already cut but they had a wide selection and we found the perfect tree! Everyone there was really nice and helpful and they even had a 5 dollar coupon. Just got home with my tree and put it up. Couldn't be happier. It took just under an hour to get to the place, but I'm glad we went. The service was great; the employees greeted us when we arrived and pointed us the direction to the potted Christmas trees. No hard sell at all. They were very patient with me and the kids, and didn't mind the kids playing hide-and-seek in the grove. We arrived home at the same time as my wife and she was exceptionally pleased with the quality of the tree. Our plan is to plant the tree at the bottom of the property when we're done. I went to this Christmas tree farm today to start a new family tradition. It was everything I hoped it would be for my family. We were warmly greeted by the staff and my kids played some games and decorated ornaments. We wondered the grounds and then found a great tree. The staff were very helpful assisting us cutting it down and carrying it to be shaken and netted. My kids then went for pony rides (extra $5 each), but the smiles on their faces made it worth every cent. I plan on going back every year. Great new holiday memory for the family. read more

Wonderful family owned tree farm tucked away in Ramona. We found a great Noble Fir but you can also cut your own. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The best thing was the tree shaker got all the loose needles out so we can set the tree up right away. It was raining pretty hard when we went but it looks like they have pony rides for kids when the weather cooperates. This is a great way to support local businesses. read more
