He claims it's because of the 1985 prop 65 clean water act. How you may ask? Well I did ask....here is my chat C-A-L ranch stores CEO (6/2018)Tom Yearsley decided that his stores started in (10/2018)won't sell any products to Californians. As you see in red. He is citing 1985 Prop 65 clean water act. Now the interesting part is, The corporate located in Idaho with stores in Arizona, Oregon, Nevada as well Idaho. Doesn't manufacture (my example photo) Gerber Knives (manufactured in Portland Oregon) How would this have anything to do with California clean water act of 1985? I did chat with a person, and the last ending paragraph directs me to make purchases on their website...which I'm not allowed to....I don't know what kind of political thoughts the CEO has, but if he's conservative then he punishing all of us conservatives, and if he's liberal, than he's punishing all of the liberals. In any way you look at it, both sides of the fence this guy is wrong and discriminating against a whole state....here is my chat log... You What does prop 65 have to do with selling knives in California? Quinton Hello, Thank you for contacting CAL Ranch. One minute while I check on this for you. Hello, I can send you a link with the information if you would like. You The clean water act of 1985? These knives are made in Portland your stores are in Idaho, how does this translate to clean water in California Jennifer Honestly, I have no idea. Our CEO has stopped all shipments to CA You Is it just knives or all products Jennifer All products I am really sorry I am not sure where you are in CA but we do have a store in Yuma AZ and one in Carson City NV also. Not sure if you are close to those or not. You So us Californians are being punished? For..... Jennifer I guess the laws your state passed. Sorry! You What is the CEO NAME please? There is nothing in our laws that prevents from selling or buying knives.. Jennifer Our CEO's name is Tom Yearsley You When did your store stop Californians from buying? Jennifer I believe it was the end of October, but I could be wrong about that. Is there anything else I can do for you? You Obviously not, since you're not allowed too. Jennifer I do apologize. Sadly I have to update and take few stars away.I was in dire need to buy new jeans and I did, but…read moreyou see for us buying most goods is already a lengthy process,we live in the middle of nowhere and have to commute a lot.I mean on a bright side they still have better quality clothing compared to what could be found right across the street, but I am not sure who they think they are this store is in no position to compete with amazon and most other on-line retailers.Their website is also not up to date even if you choose your store location the prices do not correspond.Store closes too early and offers a credit card with outrageous APR so unless you plan to use it for immediate discount and pay off right away there is not much sense in having it. The most offensive and idiotic thing from the customer's point of view is that in this day and age of electronic commerce the actual brick and mortar store selling clothes DOES NOT offer fitting rooms. What's the....?Seriously.I ordered plenty of stuff on-line,I know my numbers, but if I choose to drive for 30 miles it means I wanted to actually hand pick my items and try them on.There is very little consolation in knowing that "if they won't fit you can return them" of course I can if I choose to drive another 60 miles and have nothing better to do with my time.Same day I bought my jeans I shopped at Costco and noticed they also had some jeans. If JCP had longer hours I would have grabbed my jeans at Costco and returned theirs just out of principle.But...they were closed and I already wasted enough time. I might consider buying from their website within a year or so if they are still in business.

One star only because I have to submit at least one. I am so upset I don't even know how to leave a…read morereview that is not mean. I recently went into the salon in Chubbuck. Asked if anyone there could even out the back of my inverted bob because one side was a tad longer than the other. Also had one layer in the back that just needed reshaped to lay better. This should have been easy and quick. My normal gal was super booked and with just that simple of a fix she was comfortable sending me to a place for just that. Did not need anything off the front, nor did I ask. Did not need a completely new haircut, nor did I ask. Just the back a little trimmed up and a layer textured. The lady turned me around, turned on her electric razor and BUZZED my hair three inches shorter in the front and completely reshaped my neck line(a half inch in the center back and an inch on my sides gone now) to be short on the sides(inverted bobs are long on the sides and short in the back) behind my ears and long at the center back. Told me that she thought it was more feminine and not to worry about the now extremely short front sides cause the front grows faster. It wasn't even. Wasn't blended. Just a razor shaved line(and not straight) from the middle of my cheek to behind my ear. I have been growing out my hair for some time now and she not only has me set back years, but I look like an idiot! My normal gal can't even fix it without it being close to a pixie cut. Which is not what I am willing to do. I had finally gotten my sides grown out to below my chin and the back almost starting to grow evenly with the sides. I am now no were close. I have yet to get a call back from the salon manager. And I now have several hundreds of dollars in extension and cost to put in, to match and to blend to just get me back to where I was before she butchered my hair. Do not go there!!!! I will never go back there. No stars. That was absolutely unacceptable. No professional salon should be sending anyone out the door looking that way.

I am still a member of this chain because my wife insists...A happy wife means husband does the Costco shopping ;). If you buy more than a pound or 2 of fruit in the same package you should still check it thoroughly as moldy/mushy fruits are pretty common whether you buy mandarin oranges or lemons. Some aftermarket car items and water and beverages like Gatorade or V8 are decently priced. Still no scan guns for self-check outs though. Entering annoying thing is to check in and to scan your card 7 times till it gets recognized. God forbid Costco invaders will enter with the Costco cards belonging to their relatives and accidentally spend extra few hundred dollars at Costco. Would not want this happening, would you? Latest disappointment was when I and kids decided we would like to grab a hotdog. I do not do this often, but I remember grabbing one with a friend few months ago. What's a big deal? Kids had a long day at medical appointments then helped me locating items at Costco, they do deserve some reward, right? Ladies at the counter tried their best to ignore me for quiet a while. They excelled in it better than a bartender or a waiter in Las Vegas who somehow perceives that he/she was not being tipped generously enough for their unceasing efforts if there is still such a thing. When one lady finally acknowledged my presence she only asked if it will be cash or card and referred me to self-serve kiosk. I can also go home and fry my own hotdog it is not a science or as we all decided on our way home better hotdogs and even condiments to go with them are sold at the local Maverik. Not cheaper, but so much better tasting and all we have to do is to pick up hot dog, bun and condiments and let the CLERK process the transaction before sliding the card. Last, but not least there were still no curbside pickup options last time I checked. Fred Meyer has their items much better systematized in their store and yet curbside pick up is offered. Wal-mart in Chubbuck also offers curbside pick up even though it is usually fairly slow ( 6-7 times slower on average compared to Fred Meyer). Yet it is offered and if you are disabled or can't move too fast or are unsure where the desired items are located it still makes sense. Sam's club offers curbside pick up. Costco does not :( .

I had a very small window of time today to get my hearing aids serviced. Now I will have to wait a few days.
