Hands down the best antique shop I have ever been into in Idaho or Utah. I live 45 mins away and my best friend had been telling me for a year how amazing this place was. I never took the time to make the drive until 3 weeks ago, and oh my gosh!! I was kicking myself for waiting for so long! We are remodeling a 70 year old farmhouse and want to include unique old architectural pieces in the house. I have been looking for months on eBay and etsy for old doors, windows, tubs, furniture, etc. Everything I wanted to buy was $$$ plus shipping! I walked into Vain and Vintage and within 3 mins found the perfect door for a bathroom for $20 bucks!! Of course i snagged it up!! The one I had been considering on etsy was $275!! A week later I brought my husband to come pick up the door and we ended up finding 30 more items to use in the house! Old windows and shutters are $10, old cast iron wash tubs were $25, we went crazy! I fully expect our total to be over $1400 as the week before we had purchased some stuff from another store and 4 items came to $275. Our total was $600 for 31 items! Crazy insane and I am talking big doors, etc. Not only are Her prices are amazing, but the store itself is set up so cute. I have been to one of the biggest flea markets in the United States in Canton Texas, where every booth is like walking into a charming farmhouse from 1850. I have never experienced anything like that again until now! Her store is so clean, her displays are amazing and creative! As a creative person myself i just die when I walk in there. Just seeing how the store is set up, I fully expect to pay $$$ for stuff. And then you are blown away by her prices. I am already planning a trip back. I do art retreats at my studio and people from all over the world come for a week to stay and learn. We do a couple of fun outings to take a break from doing art and this will now be the main feature on my retreat. Even with it being 45 mins away, I plan to add an extra day to our program just to take students to this store. Can't say enough good things! The only thing I would change, is I wish she was open until 6:00! :) I have friends that want to go but they work until 5:00 each day and so they can only go on Saturday. So wish she stayed open like one or two nights a week until 6:00 or 6:30. ( hint hint lol) thanks Vain and Vintage for being truly amAzing. read more
