But the highlight for us was definitely the cafe! We made it just before they closed at 5:00 PM and grabbed the waffle fries and the baked cheesy potato,both were absolutely delicious and worth the stop alone. ​If you're traveling with kids, this is a fantastic, quick, and unique place to explore. He passed away last year, truly leaving a void in this world. The $10 entrance fee is worth it, because at this time, they offer you a choice of one of his excellent books! It is WELL worth the price of admission! The books are on the counter, left of the admission counter, so be sure to ask for yours! On the third floor is a display of the SPACE AGE era in America (striving with Russia). It covered the subsequent 'rocket' designs of vacuum cleaners. I couldn't help it, I laughed out loud while reading it! :D What I found interesting ; -Elizabeth of Bavaria's traveling commode (and HOW it worked) -WWII field latrine -The daunting DUST Victorians faced, and the first vacuum invented (horse drawn) -the goofy statues made out of cleaning & vacuum cleaner parts -all the vintage advertising & appliances -the video on how to clean a bathroom in three minutes! We didn't know quite what to expect so when the performers arrived dancing down the length of the table we flat out giggled! It was smart of the staff to line us up before dinner and confirm our seat placement, drinks and orders. It was a bummer that we didn't get to know the people seated with us better. They were a quiet bunch, it took me frantically whispering to my friend to start clapping for the performance to get any reaction from them. It was awkward during courses because each group didn't want to draw attention to themselves. The performer's costumes and matching masks were glittery and fun. The best part was when a hoop descended from a ceiling and one of the girls did some acrobatics with it. My friend and I ordered the prime rib and salmon for our entrées and split them so we could get a taste of each. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the the prime rib had excellent sauce options. We were served a side salad, spicy gumbo, raspberry sorbet, and beignets. Overall if was a very fun evening but either have a large group or be the life of the party! Also, don't forget to tip the very polite staff.

It is $4 for entry and there are a handful of books, post cards and beadwork available for purchase if desired.
