Decided last minute to rent a cabin in April when the weather was nice! New owners were great!…read more Booked on the phone and paid in full with credit card at a very reasonable price! Met with owners upon check in and had a great conversation with them about the area, activities, etc and they personally escorted us to our cabin. Cabins are located right next to the bath house and fishing pond. Bath house was exceptionally clean and well cared for! 2 showers provided excellent water pressure as well has 3 bathroom stalls which were all immaculate. It was opening weekend so there weren't too many campers around us so that was a plus. The fire ring and picinic table were great! The cabin itself was very primitive but clean and had brand new mattresses. I recommend a camp roll for comfort. The AC worked perfectly as well! I would recommend bringing a small table for meal prep, etc. The downside is that it does not include a mini fridge so I had to cooler and ice our food for 3 days which was a minor inconvenience. Location is great and right in the middle of all the fishing and outdoor activities that we love in Linesville and Pymatuning! Their fishing pond is great too! I would HIGHLY recommend this campground to anyone! The owners are great and really care about their property and the people there! They definately made us feel welcome! We will definately return!

They are $40/night. 2 tenting sites available for $18/night. The bathrooms are very clean. There is a pond to go paddle boating or canoeing. A pavilion is available for gatherings. They used to have fishing contests for kids and hayrides...they don't do that anymore. It is basically an entertain yourself campground. The spillway is close. Jamestown beach is close as well. It is quiet there and friendly people are always around. They have Christmas in July for the campers and pot luck most Saturdays. Tip: tent site 1 is a good site. It has trees and cabin 2 is the better cabin just because the ground outside of the cabin is a little flatter than the other cabin. The rooms have 1 queen and 1 set of bunk beds.

It is a smooth 50 minute drive from downtown Cleveland. Taking 422 most of the way there with back roads the remainder. I was there in know time doing the speed limit. There are a few locations to pull off I noticed. So make sure you choose the Nelson Kennedy Ledges state park for gps. Have walking tennis shoes or boots on. Do not wear flip flops. The trail can be a challenge in anything else. You will fall in love with the beauty of nature. And of course the glass bridge is something that is amazing. I throughly enjoyed it and am already planning it trip back next month. Get there. You'll be glad that you listened and went.

There are a number of marked paths through the ledges, plus there are even more side trails and ways to experience the wonders of nature. There are 2 waterfalls, one big one at the North end of the park and a second shorter one near the South end. Of the 4 marked trails, the red trail is my favorite since it is the most challenging with some great rock scrambling. You want to be careful since there are some real cliffs and places where you can hurt yourself if you are not careful, but it also has more fun packed into it than any other park in the area. They have announced a new glass walkway over the Southern waterfall which I will have to get out and check soon. Go out and play.

On our most recent overnight stay, we were one of only three occupied spaces in the entire campground. When we returned from a day out with our granddaughter, we found four large trailers filled with groups of adult men placed just feet from our camper. With dozens of empty spaces available, this placement was completely unnecessary and inconsiderate. The booking process specifically asks how many people will be on site, yet no effort was made to inform us that such large groups would be packed in so close. Each trailer,(not camper) contained at least five men, and the resulting noise and disruption ruined what should have been a quiet family stay. These men kept wondering around our campsite and occupying empty campsite picnic tables all around us due to the size of their group. When we voiced our concerns, the response from the office was unprofessional and dismissive -- essentially a "too bad, so sad" attitude. We felt so uncomfortable and unsafe that we packed up and left early. This complete lack of regard for guests' comfort and experience is unacceptable.

It was relatively clean. Some hair and dust in the corners and some hair in the shower, but it wasn't bad. The bedding and towels were clean. Overall, we were very happy with the cabin and would definitely stay in the same cabin. We arrived one day after a really bad storm went through. The water and electric wasn't working in part of the campground, so we weren't able to use the pool which was a bummer. We weren't able told that the levels had to be checked after the loss of power and water, but when we left Thursday, it still was not open. Not their fault, but it was a bummer. We were hoping it would be checked quicker so we could at least try it out. There is a pond for fishing and we saw a lot of people catching. There also was a pond for swimming. The playground was nice and I appreciate that they put down rocks instead of mulch. For the littles, the rocks are just as much fun as the playground itself. We spent a ton of time at the playground. The air filled bouncing pad was nice also. At least once per day it deflated, but once notified they would send someone to reset it. My kiddo spent all his time there or at the playground. The gaga pit and the little dirt bike track have not been kept up with. We only saw kids once at the bike track. This is why I took away 2 stars. This was our first time at this campground and will be the last. There is so much potential but it seemed like nothing was really taken care of. There also was garbage all over that wasn't picked up the whole time we were there. On our second day, I was bored watching my kiddo jump so I went around that area and picked it all up myself. I understand it's hard to keep staff these days, but the garbages were getting changed every couple days so that person who drove/walked by the garbage on the ground could have easily done what I did. There were many things that just weren't fixed. There are only so many hours in a day and people can only do so much, but there were so many little things that could be done to make the campground cleaner and more inviting. Clean the bathrooms, clean the property, mow.. it all seemed so run down. There was nothing going on at the clubhouse and when asked about kids activities, we were told there weren't any. We have been to many "family" campgrounds and they usually always have activities. Even some state parks do. Again, probably a staffing issue, but we were disappointed. I may have missed it, but I don't think there was any food or even ice cream available which was a bummer. On our last evening, it was raining and my kiddo wanted s'mores. We were going to attempt to make a fire anyways, but our fire pit filled with water. There was no drainage. He then requested ice cream. It was our last night, so we walked up to the store to get him an ice cream from the freezer. They closed at 5. We had to drive 15 minutes for ice cream. I'd think the store would be open at least into the early evening in the summer time. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience and the cabin was nice. We enjoyed our time, but we won't be back.
