I went in to get an oil change, and when I got home, I looked underneath my vehicle and noticed…read morethat the skid plate had been held up with zip ties. Apparently, the pins holding the skid plate in place were accidentally broken during the service. Accidents happen, and I completely understand that. What I don't understand is why nobody was honest enough to tell me what happened. Instead, I was allowed to leave without being informed and had to discover the issue myself once I got home. I then had to call back and speak with a manager to get the situation addressed. Unfortunately, you've lost my business going forward. If something goes wrong during a service, just be upfront with the customer. I would have had a completely different reaction if someone had simply told me, "We accidentally broke a few of the clips, and we fixed it temporarily with zip ties." Mistakes happen -- hiding them from the customer is what turns a simple mistake into a trust issue

I was trying to save money and bought one online (guaranteed to fit). Tooles agreed to put it on for us. I would give them a minus 5 if I could. I had one of the most bizarre experiences of my life…read moreconcerning rage. I scheduled an appointment a week ahead for a smog check at 11:00 a. m. I went in at about 10:55 the day of the appointment. I walked up to the counter and was greeted with "Hey, what can I do for you." It just seemed like not the friendliest greeting I would have expected, but I didn't think too much about it. So I told him I had an appointment for 11:00. He checked the computer and told me that no your appointment was for 10:00. I told him "No it was for 11." He said "I'm looking right here on the computer, you made your appointment for 10:00!" I could tell he was already getting aggravated. I very emphatically stated "No I didn't it was for 11!" At that point he completely lost it. He got extremely angry and told me I had made the appointment for 10:00 and he knows because he is looking at it on his computer. I told that was a mistake. He yelled at me "You made it for 11:00 it's right here on the computer" at the same time turns the computer toward me and slams his finger on the screen. He then told me that I could just leave and that quote, "I don't give a shit." I tried to get him to calm down but to no avail. I left the office but then turned around and told him I was going to make a complaint. He yelled out the door "What did you say?" "I said I'm going to make a complaint." He jumped up out of his chair raced outside put his finger in my face and yelled at me, "MAKE A COMPLAINT, I DON'T GIVE SHIT, I DON"T GIVE A SHIT!" At this point he was in a full blown rage. I again tried to calm him down by asking him why he was acting like that and telling him that it doesn't have to be this way. I said it at least 4 times. He responded by telling me I was the problem and came in with a shitty attitude when in reality I was looking forward to getting the smog check done. Again he told me while raging that I could just leave and he doesn't give a shit, the entire time with his finger in my face. Finally he returned to the office. I had noticed 2 people in the shop watching the entire episode. I turned to them and asked them what was wrong with this guy. They just shrugged their shoulders. I headed for my car but then realized I had better get his name I asked the 2 gentlemen in the shop what his name was and they would not even look up at me as if they were afraid of getting involved due to retribution. So I went to the doorway of the office and asked the person I had the encounter with and he said his name was Michael. On the way home I started to wonder if I had made a mistake about the appointment time. I actually started feeling a bit guilty. What if it was my mistake but then realizing there still would be no excuse for his behavior. Anyway when I got home it occurred to me to check my phone for text message and my email for a reminder about the appointment. Yes both confirmed the appointment was for 11:00. Michael clearly has anger issues and would be wise to seek therapy. Take my advice, stay away from Toole's garage in Jackson!
