After having experienced two grandparents in the general retirement area, and one of those grandparents later in memory care, I can say with confidence that the family chose well with Morning Star. Yes. There are always difficulties in communication, insurance, billing, and everything else that you might expect from dealing with any sort of business entity at all. This simply comes with the territory. But what makes me happy with how my grandparents lived out their time at Morning Star is the respect, dignity, and help that they got from a great staff. If my grandfather was feeling ill, the staff would bring soup to his room. If he needed help with medicine, there were services to assist in managing his pills. Finally when he died, the staff was helpful to the family in planning for my grandmother. In memory care, my grandmother was taken to every meal, she was brought to the daily activity session, and was never just left in her room to fade away. Her defiance was met with patience, and the staff always let us know about anything she might need (socks, pants, etc.) The last few years of someone's life is an uncomfortable topic. Death is an uncomfortable topic. But I'm so happy that Morning Star made my grandparents last days more bearable. The home care service I was using at the time referred me to Phil Hotaling and what a blessing that was! Phil helped me understand so many issues when it came to being in assisted living and what was and what was not provided. He arranged visits with different homes and together we toured each one. He guided me through the questions and issues pertinent to each home. I selected a wonderful place for Mom! The assisted living home has room for 8 residents and is run by a fantastic couple who live there with their two children. Mom is happy there and I'm happy she is well taken care of by loving caring people. I would never have found this place on my own without Phil's help. Thank you Phil for your help, your guidance and just your wonderful heart and caring about your clients and their family. I would never have made it through this last year with Mom and then Dad needing care all on top of two knee replacement surgeries! Getting Mom and Dad together again at Leawood before he died means more than you'll ever truly know.

I never have any issues during our stay. It's centrally located with few mins drive to Costco, king soopers and 470. It's quiet and easy access to bike trail. Apartment complex has gym and swimming pool. It's clean and the best part I like is the secured mail box. It can be accessed only thru the secure key and you feel safe that your package is not lost when you are out of town. We used to travel a lot and sometimes the packages stayed there for long and we never had to worry about it Maintenance was always done on time, it can be done online and they will show up depending on the priority you have... I had water leak in the freeze and it was addressed within 10 mins. Everyone is super Friendly in the office. Nancy, Roshida, sherry and Kaitlyn were always there when needed. I have nothing but good words for them. Thank you guys for everything during our stay..you guys are awesome!!

The ladies at the front desk are quite friendly. I often joke with them. All of the PTs are skillful and attentive. But their bedside manner is not equal. I prefer female doctors and PTs simply because they come off as more caring and less ego-driven. The PT doctor, Lauren Hofman, who does evaluations is wonderful, joyful, and patient. In my opinion, PT Magerette is the absolute best! She make PT fun. She constantly educates and encourages her patients. I really appreciate Margaret and prefer to work with her exclusively. Margaret knows the human body well. Recently I went in a day after walking 10 miles. My hip bone and muscles were sore and tense. I thought that it was serious. Margaret was not worried and explained that it was soreness from muscles rarely exerted in that manner. She focused on those muscles in our last session. I left Margaret's session feeling better than when I arrived. One day later, I am back to normal. I highly recommend the Mountain View Pain Center and highly recommend asking to work with Margaret. I liken her style to that of a teacher getting her students excited about a new lesson or exercise. Often she does the PT routines with me. Margaret is a winner!

The after hours line (which is the main leasing line) contacted the on duty maintenance person when my fuse popped on thanksgiving, within in mere minutes i got a call back and i was up in running in no time. Of course other situations i find myself in. The maintenance guys (shout out to Clayton) are all always smiling and polite, and i can't leave out the leasing staff who are knowledgeable, friendly, and always helpful! I've enjoyed talking to every one of them :) I see there are some negative reviews (take notice the dates and i'm sure there's been employee turn over), but let's be real, a little kindness will get you far. These guys will go above and beyond (meaning: things not in their scope of actual responsibilities) for you if show some kindness/compassion/understanding. And that advice applies for everyone we encounter on a day-to-day basis. Golden rule and whatnot..

Alexandra, the leasing consultant I worked with, was wonderful from the beginning. She was patient, professional, helpful, and made everything much easier to navigate. I was also trying to coordinate my move-in date with the sale of my home, so there were a lot of moving pieces, and it was really helpful to feel like I had someone on my side throughout the process. Since moving in, Alexandra has continued to be extremely helpful anytime I've had questions or needed assistance with something. The property itself is very nice, I really enjoy my apartment, and I've had a great experience with the neighbors I've met so far. My dogs are pretty happy living here too, which is obviously important! There were a few things that had been overlooked in my unit prior to move-in, but anything I brought to their attention was handled quickly and professionally by the maintenance staff. I really appreciate how responsive they've been. Overall, I'm very happy living here and have had a positive experience with both the property and the staff. I'm glad I chose IMT Cornerstar Ranch as my home!

The Reserve does a lot of things right, they are quick to make repairs and help their residents;…read morehowever, they recently instituted a policy that goes over the top. Apparently some residents have been abusing their parking privilege by having more than their own vehicles taking up valuable parking spaces that Reserve residents should have access to. No resident should take up additional parking spaces for days at a time. No problem. Makes sense. Restrict and fine those residents that abuse their parking privileges. Make residents register their vehicles so that parking policy can be monitored and enforced But that's not what Residence did. Instead, everyone, even occasional overnight guests must obtain a parking pass and pay $3/night for every time they want to visit and stay overnight. You can't make a one time payment for future visits. No. You must go to the website and get a parking permit every time you visit. Silliness. The parking app doesn't exist on the iPhone App Store, and there is a cumbersome and frankly, probably an illegal requirement for personal information on the parking website. They require you to provide all of your vehicle information plus who it is you are visiting. It is none of the Reserve's damned business who I am visiting. There are no warnings for first time offenders. I just paid $348 to recover my car after it was towed last night (3/21/2024). Granted, I should have supplied all of my personal information and obtained a $3 pass, but no warning? Come on. Anyone looking to live here should think hard about company overreach, and somebody should sue them for violating privacy laws.

I had the pleasure of working with Aaron during my first homebuying experience. I had met with several other real estate agents and after speaking with Aaron, I had a really good feeling and decided to work exclusively with him. He was with me every step of the way, explaining things at the right level every time. Aaron is knowledgeable, personable, and strategic. I couldn't imagine having a better person in my corner to coach me through this convoluted process. Thanks Aaron!

UPDATE: 6/28/24…read more Recently Aaron has helped my wife and I sell our first home and purchase a new one at the same time. If you've been in this situation before you know how stressful this can be, but Aaron made this as smooth as possible. There's a lot of great things to say about Aaron so I've broken it up into sections to view easily. #1 Experience 5/5 Aaron is one of the most experienced Realtors in the business and it shows when you work with him. He was able to find us our perfect home matching our criteria in a short time frame and was able to get in contact with the seller immediately and negotiated us a stellar offer. When it came to selling our house Aaron expertly navigated the market and we sold our house within 7 days for over asking while there were 4-5 other properties in the same area for sale. Those properties are still for sale and took multiple price reductions! #2 Customer Service 5/5 Aaron has always made my wife and I feel like valued friends instead of just clients. At every step of the process Aaron always made sure that our best interests were kept in mind even if it meant something more difficult on his end. He spent countless hours walking us through different concepts and strategies to ensure that we were comfortable with all the decisions we were making. By the end of the process I felt like I was a real estate expert because Aaron always spent the time to teach and show us the in and outs of real estate. #3 Aaron Impact Aaron is not only a wonderful real estate agent, but he also has his lender license which helped us secure a loan for our home that eclipsed all other offers on the board by a large margin. He also helped us with contacting the best electricians, contractors, inspectors, plumbers, etc. in the business to help us with our new home and fixing our old property for selling. These connections helped my wife and I receive stellar work at a extremely reasonable price. Having Aaron as your realtor ensures that your entire realtor experience will be successful before, during, and after your closing. Overall I can't praise Aaron enough for the expertise in his craftmanship and can't wait for my daughter to buy her first house so we have the opportunity to work with Aaron again. If you are even thinking about buying or selling your house the only real option is Aaron and you will never be disappointed with choosing him as your realtor. As stressful as buying or selling a house can be I find myself wanting to do it again just so I can experience working with Aaron. First House Purchase 3/2020 My wife and I were looking into buying our first home which was very overwhelming trying to figure out all the odds and ends that we needed. We knew that we needed to find the right agent for us that could help walk us through the entire process and teach us along the way. Luckily we were able to meet Aaron and words cannot express how thankful we are to have him as our agent! Aaron provided us a wealth of information a long the way teaching us about things we never knew we had to be aware of when buying a house. Aaron was also very responsive and receptive of our questions or concerns that we had always making sure that we were comfortable and confident with everything that was happening. Working with Aaron relived all the stress and concerns that my wife and I had about buying our first home. I can say without a doubt that when you have Aaron as your real estate agent you get much more than just an agent, you get one of the best agents in Colorado, a teacher, someone who will advocate for you, and most importantly a friend who has your best interest in mind. At the end of it I cannot recommend Aaron enough for what he did for us, is doing for us, and will do for us as our lifelong real estate agent.
