“The only minor thing keeping it from 5 stars is that at closing they stop allowing you to buy balls pretty far in advance.”

Don't forget to bring cash for the admission fee!…read more There are two courses to choose from: one is outdoors, and the other is an obstacle course. We chose the obstacle course. I loved all the decorations, which made the atmosphere so much fun! If you get a hole-in-one at the last hole, you can get a token to play the course for free next time! I surprisingly got a hole-in-one! I was able to do it even though I'm a beginner golfer, so I bet anyone has a chance of getting a hole-in-one! I saw a lot of families with children. It's definitely a great place to hang out with family and friends.

You can really feel the friendly atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The golf course itself is beautiful, well-kept, and full of unique character. There is so much cool paraphernalia and fun trinkets all throughout the property that make it interesting even between holes. Every hole was set up so neatly, with creative layouts, multiple drops, and thoughtful details that kept it fun the entire way through. I especially loved that they had an easier course for younger kids, which made it perfect for our children, and we also noticed the moving/more challenging course, which looked like something my husband and I would love to come back and try on our own. The seating areas placed along the way made it feel relaxing and enjoyable, and there was so much to look at that the whole experience felt special. One helpful thing to know before you go: it is cash only, so make sure you come prepared. It was $25 for 2 adults and 2 kids under 6. Overall, such a fun family outing with a lot of charm -- we will absolutely be back!

I was a bit skeptical about Putt Shack because I had heard many mixed reviews and know it is a…read morelarge corporate chain. I finally visited for the first time in late June and was pleasantly surprised at what a fun time we had. You can either register online prior to your arrival or you can use one of their ipads to register. Each player gets a golf ball that is individually coded to them. So it tracks every stroke you take (no cheating) and automatically adds the score (including bonus points on some holes). One nice thing is that you can skip around if there are lines at the holes. This is really helpful especially if you are there with a group. They also have tables throughout the course that let you place your drink down. You do need to pay attention to make sure you stay on your own course because the two courses are right next to each other. If your ball suddenly isn't registering, it is probably because you are on the wrong course. Food is pretty tasty (although a little overpriced). You can eat any time and they have an option that you can order food before you golf and have it ready for when you are done (but I imagine it could get difficult to try and time that correctly), There is metered street parking right outside and a large surface lot behind the building. Overall a fun place to take your family or a unique date night.

It appeared most people were putting not so much eating. We played nine holes and I could have easily stayed for another nine. It is pricey for four people. I appreciated the servers coming to the holes for drinks. Each hole has a space to place your drinks while you putt. PuttShack was the perfect family outing for us. The ball is digitally assigned to each person. There is no keeping track of the score. Every time you put the ball on the tee the computer recognizes you.

If you love nostalgic summer fun, this is the place for you. Is this the most modern or updated…read moremini golf course? Nope. Are there tons of things whirling around or light up? Nope. Super challenging? Nope. But what you will experience is fairly affordable good old fashioned fun. And, because it is on the easier side of things, it is likely someone will have the excitement of getting a hole in one. The course itself could use a few updates (like repainting the animals and some other features) but it doesn't impact game play. You can generally get through without having to wait for other players to finish (because the crowds definitely aren't rushing to get here) but it is nice that you can be fairly leisurely. Overall, a fun experience for families or maybe a date night.

This place is the very definition of simple but fun. The cost, $5/person a game or $10 for three…read moregames, is very reasonable especially since the third game can be used at anytime does not expire. Staff is friendly. There's not much challenge or much variety amongst the three courses, so I'm not sure it keeps the attention of the competitive mini-golfer but it's right in the name Par 2. It also means almost everyone is guaranteed at least one hole in one which was great fun accompanied by an 8 year old. Lower ratings probably come from the fact that it's SO simple, it's just classic mini golf, oldies music, and that's it. Additionally, the selling proposition includes much more than is actually available. The arcade is closed, as was the ice cream shop. It didn't appear there were any other food or drink options outside of some cash only vending machines. This makes it difficult for this to be a place you "make a day out of" but the 11 am open time aligns well with this as a pre lunch activity. Absolutely plan to return!
