    Room in need of cleaning!
    Craig F.

Friendly service, conveniently locate, but the guest rooms, at least the one we stayed in, are in desperate need of renovations and a good cleaning. We recently stayed at Pine Barn Inn when in town for an event at a different venue. Check in was quick and easy and the lobby cutely decorated. Upon entering our room, we felt like we were staying in a dark cave for the evening. Upon closer examination it was quite apparent that the room was showing many years of "wear", needing renovation, or at least a very deep cleaning. After reading the other reviews I had to double check we stayed at the same Pine Barn Inn, because there definitely must be differences between the various sections of the motel. We were in the lower ground floor level of the motel section. The bed was actually very comfortable!

Was here form a short business related trip and stayed at the inn as well as dined here for my two meals of lunch and dinner. The inn and room was very quaint and even had a mini kitchen and separate seating areas from the bedroom. It also had two vanities/sinks, one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom. The furnishings could be updated and some details reviewed such as the trims, paint etc. The room was clean though and had ample supplies. The restaurants are both quaint as well and have a decent sized varied menu. The service was nice, quick, and food portions generous. The flavors of the salad and soup were good but could have been elevated. The pricing is fair as well. Dinner of the steak in the tavern area of the resto was a different ambience. The steak was good too and the accompanying gnocchi. The service that night could have been more helpful.

Beautiful tavern and restaurant here at Pine Barn with great drink and entree choices. The quality of the food was great and the bartender makes excellent cocktails. Good eats, stop in if you're in the area.

The allergen awareness here is good. For their breakfast menu they don't really offer much "nut stuff" as Laura and I would say so that is a plus on our end. The food itself is fine. That is all though. I feel it is about as average as it gets. Though, for the price the portions are fair. I ordered a smoked salmon omelette. I got this out of curiosity. Definitely not something I've had before. It was filled with cream cheese, tomato, onion, and smoked salmon. I could tell what they were going for but felt it fell a bit short. The omelette itself was not constructed well. The ingredients were not evenly distributed whatsoever. The whole dish seemed to try too hard if that makes sense? I get the idea but it just wasn't coming together well for me. The side of home fries were relatively tasteless which is lame but the jam and toast was actually quite good. The strawberry was pretty stellar. The pancakes were on point. They were semi sweet and the syrup didn't overpower the savory and buttery taste of the pancakes. They did a fine job. The servers were good as well. Ours was kind and attentive. Overall though the experience was underwhelming though. Expected more from the food.

Needed a hotel close to" Knoebels" Amusement park and the Pine Barn Inn was still available. Hampton Inn and Super 8 were sold out for labor day weekend so took a chance with Pine Barn Inn. For being such an older property the hotel was super clean and newly remodeled. Super cute remodel at the front desk . The man at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The only downfall to the stay was the walls were super thin and we could hear the baby in the room next door crying .

I stayed here while in town for an interview at Geisinger. It was very clean and quiet as well as conveniently located by the main hospital.

As a roaming independent software professional, I don't always want to work from home (it's overrated). Coffee shops are hit and miss--sometimes too loud and busy. Iron Front is ideal--it has quiet areas for calls or study, and open areas that are more social. In fact I find quiet open areas like this the most conducive to creativity and productivity. I've also attended several gatherings at Iron Front. You can't ask for a nicer event space. I'm a fan of renovated urban loft spaces, and it works great for events too. The kitchen area is a crucial amenity for eating and coffee breaks. I'm especially fond of the fruit-infused ice water that's always on the counter; the brain and body need hydration. An unexpected benefit has been networking. I've made several friends and connected with several local entrepreneurs in this venue. I'd go so far to say I've learned more about entrepreneurship at Iron Front than anywhere else.

BUYER BEWARE: On…read more4/12/2026 I held a Celebration of Life event for my mother at Iron Front in Lewisburg Pa. Literally nothing was prepared for the event ahead of time. I arrived an hour ahead and had to go looking for staff repeatedly, which continued to be the case even after people were arriving for the event at the appointed time. I paid $475 for drinks for 100 people that were non-existent. I was so occupied with other things not done, that it wasn't until way into the event that I realized the drinks had not been set up for the event. The only drinks sitting out were from the prior event that had been held that day! There was warm and watered down "iced" tea and water from the prior event. It was brought to my attention by attendees that there were no drinkable beverages. Soft drinks were to be available on ice. None were. I went to staff, and again this was way into the event, and a woman came and poured ice on top of the tea and water that had been there from the event hours before. My mother had done so much for her community, including having been a District Governor in the Lions Club. It was an embarrassment that people didn't even have basic beverages available to drink. I was assured a microphone would be available for the event. This was very important as the event was centered around a eulogy and people being able to come forward and tell stories about my mother. Eventually, after several prior attempts and not long before the event was to begin, (even into the time when people were arriving), I desperately pled with Nick to come help me with plugging in my music (from my mother's era), a slide presentation, and getting a mic for the event. These were all things I was assured would be available for the event. Nick brought two mics and informed me he had changed the batteries, which I don't question. However, less than 15 minutes into the event, as I was presenting the eulogy, my mic went dead and the other one did not work. This limited our ability to effectively communicate during the event. Also, the slide presentation stopped as soon as a screensaver came on so that didn't work, but...okay. I had requested tables for 100 people and the event coordinator and I had agreed to an arrangement ahead. There were tables for around 36 persons and not as agreed. I would repeatedly have to go back to rooms to try to locate staff and get someone to come back and continue to set up the tables. This task was still incomplete when guests started arriving. As guests were arriving there was one staff person (I do not know his name - he was an African American male) who was working very hard, even putting up tables alone, and also helping at the end of the event. I had ordered and paid for several white tablecloths. They were not provided. Again, I kept asking staff to provide them. There was one long white tablecloth on the table where the food was to be placed. The tablecloth was dirty from the prior event that had been held earlier in the day. Since the caterer could not get someone to change the tablecloth and guests were about to arrive, they did their best to cover up the dirty table cloth by putting food over those spots. However, one could still see that the tablecloth was dirty. A beautiful large floral arrangement and another bouquet had arrived for the event and were sitting in a separate room. I could not handle the large floral arrangement and had to ask a few times to get someone to bring in the flowers. If I had not persisted, they would not have been put in the room. In total, I paid $1722 for this event. I was responsible for planning this event for our family and on my end was prepared. It was a difficult time, obviously, with the loss of our mother. Walking into this disaster at that time was something I never would expect from a reputable business. I thought I was renting a lovely space for a final goodbye to my mother. Instead, guests were walking in and things were a mess. They had no drinks for the 2 1/2 hours of the event. It was an incredibly stressful experience. I don't expect perfection; however, this was way beyond and completely unacceptable. Additionally, I find it noteworthy that I was not allowed to have the name of a contact person, manager, owner. I think that says a lot in itself. However, I was able to locate and contact him re: my concerns, to no avail. He has not responded.

Close to a gas station, there are several fast food and pub style restaurants within two miles or so. Our king bed room was spacious. No hooks by the entrance to hang our coats (like other Hamptons we have stayed with), but plenty of hangers in the closet. The desk area is similar to other Hamptons with a desk on wheels that you can pull out to have more desk top space and push back in for more room space. Fridge , microwave and ice bucket are in the back corner next to the desk. A full dresser with the TV on top is at the end of the bed. A single, comfy chair is between the dresser and the window. Didn't see a space to put/open luggage. Bathroom is large. Good amount of vanity space and a shelf underneath. One hook on back of door and another next to the shower. Multi-use personal care in shower and by sink plus one bar of soap by the sink. Towels were soft and absorbant. There is no switch for the bathroom exhaust fan so the room was super humid after our showers. The heater was quiet and kept us warm. The quilt was a good weight for our December stay. Sheets are soft and comfortable. Mattress firm. Only the pillows were disappointing; fiber fill that would bunch up in one place and almost no padding in another. Breakfast is served in a hallway shaped room off the lobby that is locked outside of breakfast hours. During our stay it included cold cereal, cooked oatmeal, fresh fruit (cut melon), western omlette, red potato mix, toaster items, waffles, hard boiled eggs, juice and coffee. The breakfast layout was very unorganized. Oatmeal is at the front right and cold cereal at the back left. Toaster items are at the back right and the toaster is at the middle left so you select your item, turn around and walk back to the toaster on the other side. Not even 'hot stuff here, cold stuff there'. Cold yogurt was in a bowl next to the hot oatmeal. There is no 'flow' to this set-up. Although no fridge in the breakfast area, they did offer hot sauce and grated cheese to add to your eggs and cream cheese for your bagel, plus butter, jelly, salt and pepper packets, etc. Coffee is by the front door. Luggage carts are located in the vestibule just before the lobby. They are similar to airport luggage carts. The lobby doubles as the breakfast dining room so cafe tables and chairs plus a high top work surface.
