Huge Selection I walked in and looked through almost the whole store. I found sequence fabrics which I need for vacation outfits. The only difficulty was getting to the fabrics to see which one I wanted. There were other customers in the store that needed help so I just took it into my hands to go through the fabrics. The owner helped me select zippers and gifted me extra spandex fabric. Walked out with ~ 11 yard of different fabrics for $32 I do wish there was an easier way to see all the fabrics. read more

I have been coming here since I was a little girl. I have bought fabric here for dresses, buttons and lace. Also yarn for scarves and so many other things! Service is great and I love supporting a small shops. One of the last ones we have left in Oxnard, if not the last one! I don't think it's super expensive or much more expensive than a bigger store like Michaels. I just love supporting locally owned spots! Not the nicest looking shop but for me it's so nostalgic to stop here with my mom. All my memories from years and years of shopping here rush through my head. Hi everyone, I recently went into this shop to grab a few items for this upcoming halloween. As I was searching for an item, I looked at an unopened box and was touching and looking at some items that seemed nice for my costume. However, as I was doing that, the lady working there was openly rude and told me that it wasn't for sale and that I should look at the other items that were in display. It made no sense as to why she had to say it in a hostile manner towards a customer who was looking to buy. It ruined my experience in looking for a halloween outfit. After seeing all of your guys' reviews, I realized that a lot of you also experienced this type of confrontation. As a business owner myself, I think it's very unprofessional from her end to be addressing things towards a customer in that form. read more

We called ahead to check availability of fabric type and color...didn't need to because they have a huge selection. It's a small mom and pop shop which is what I prefer to support. We had been to Joanne's & Michael's without luck and next time I need fabric, this will be my first stop. The service was prompt and courteous. The prices are excellent and matched what we were told on the phone. 10/10, highly recommend. Some reviews mentioned Spanish language issues but we spoke only English with no problem. Please support your local shops so we can keep them around for a long time. They are priceless! read more

this place has thousands of yards of fabric brou to Oxnard as factory mill ends. you won't find quilt fabric but you will find almost everything else including formal wear fabric at a very reasonable price. They have hundreds of trims and ribbons that I can't find at any of the regular fabric stores and zippers for a fraction of of the fabric store price- that is if the fabric store even has a color you want. Don't expect upscale ambience but the sales people are great. I love this place. read more

Cottons in every color are in! Pink, Magenta, Amaretto, Olive, Cobalt, Navy, Aqua, Black, Kelly, Hunter, Lime, Scarlet, Orange, Salmon, Berry, Yellow, Gold, etc. I got a bit of each to mix with some fabulous florals, fruits, stripes, children fabrics for baby quilts and more. The most amazing selection of fabric & trim!! I have never seen prices this low in my life. They have min 2 yard remnants for $2/yd. Over 100 spools of trim - any color any width! Price varies but for example: 5+ yards for $1. Really You have to see this place to believe! read more

They're very nice here and super helpful. Small mom n pop store, you'll probably be the only one there, so it's like getting a personal VIP shopping experience w reduced prices! And even though it's so quaint in Oxnard w Hispanic owners, it's not total immersion, they speak English if that is your only language. I had a friend take me to this store. I couldn't believe how much good quality fabric they have. I bought fabric for 3 dresses and couldn't believe the price I paid! I will be buying all my fabric from this store from now on. The quality of the fabric is better than Joann's an equivalent to Fabric Town in Ventura. read more

This place has been here for many years and at first it seems a bit run down but it really delivers on value. It's run by a husband and wife team (and its a but far into central oxnard) and the selection can often seem a bit random. Sometimes it seems like remnants are abundant and sometimes they have rolls of exactly what you need, but you really never know. You just have to look around. Luckily, when I dropped by looking for some 'outdoor' fabric with a tight weave to make a furniture cover, they had exactly what I needed at $4 /yard. Yes, the same stuff a 'remnants' store in Santa Barbara wanted to charge $15-$25 per yard depending on color. It can be a crapshoot to find what you need here, but somehow it always ends up being worth the trip. read more

Love this place! It's small and a bit dingy on the outside (parking is around back) but inside it's full of color and all sorts of treasures for someone who sews! They have fleece at under $5.- a yard, printed knits at $2.- a yard, and a bunch of other fabric at really good prices. The folded fabrics are not "remnants" as we would normally think of them. You take a folded piece of fabric to the cutting table and they will cut it for you, just like it was on a roll. The owners are Hispanics, but they both speak enough "business English" to serve polite customers who don't speak Spanish. As an English speaker, I have never had a language problem here -- and I don't speak Spanish at all. The notions and incidentals are really nice, too. They have buttons and ribbon and zippers and all sorts of bits & pieces. The price is excellent. I have been pleased with the quality of everything I've bought here, and I've been shopping here for a number of years now. read more

WORST. SERVICE.EVER. Went into store looking for lace trim to decorate a basket and the lady selling did not seem to want to help me at all and did not understand what i was looking for. Also her husband came in they were arguing infront of everyone inside store about where she parked etc. And then she went on barking about how she was almost gonna close but was waiting till we (customers) left. Walked into the place and was very impressed. Huge selection, beautiful fabrics, very reasonable prices. I was delighted. I picked out two pieces of yardage, and approached the checkout. The two ladies who were running the place were in deep conversation. Didn't want to be rude, so I waited patiently for them to finish their discussion. And I waited. And waited. And waited. Turned away for a moment, and returned to find them helping another customer who had just come in. I waited awhile longer, and finally realized what was happening. I put back the merchandise they did not want to sell me, and left. I'm very, very disappointed. I'm short on clothes and short on money. With their huge selection and reasonable prices, I could have afforded to make what I needed. I would have happily become a regular customer here. But if they are going to refuse to do business with me, there is nothing I can do about it. read more

Has variety of material and ribbon, lace, etc... but what you find is final. No stock room or special order. So if you find a fabric you like and you need more than what they have your out of luck. Overall, comes in handy if your in a pinch and can't go to LA garment district. read more

This is a little funky store in central Oxnard that is worth the trip if you're looking for fabric at a great price. They have a big variety of fabrics to make clothes, curtains, cushions, comforters and even Halloween costumes. I really like this little store. Just take your time to really look for what you need, because it is stuffed with fabric. The prices are incredible when you compare them with what the other fabric stores charge. I didn't find what I was looking for today (selection varies), but I've bought TONS of fabric in the past--despite the appearance, big selection ($1/yard and up) and outstanding value. I'll check back for what I want, rather than paying full price elsewhere. The stocker was very helpful, and was frank that they didn't have what I wanted today.
