The shop was recently repainted and it looks so cute now! I do miss the old look a bit but I also really like the new one! The inside seating definitely needed a refresh and it's great now! The flavors are still just as good as ever, the brownie smores is a long time favorite of mine. Now the sizes- I get a kiddie because it is HUGE. I can never finish the small size. The size in the pictures is a kiddie for reference. I usually get brownie s'mores and another flavor to complement it, and top it off with sprinkles. I've visited twice now and each time has been better than the last. The shop is under new ownership, and Mike (the new owner) is awesome. Super friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly passionate about making this place special. You can feel the good vibes as soon as you walk in. I've never really been into Italian ice, but this place completely changed my mind. The flavors are bold and refreshing--Cappuccino and Mudslide are my personal favorites. Rich, smooth, and packed with flavor. And here's the cherry on top: they welcome your furry friends and even offer a complimentary pup cup to go. Both my dogs were very happy--and let's be honest, that made me even happier. I was too busy enjoying the Italian ice to snap a photo of it (it was that good), but I did grab a pic of the pup cups--because happy dogs deserve the spotlight too! We tried the 'Peanut Butter Cup' (very light on flavor, not in your face peanut butter but still good), 'Strawberry Buttermilk' (this was my favorite! So creamy and flavorful), 'Black Raspberry Truffle' (another favorite. HUGE chocolate chunks!) and 'Watermelon Garden Mint Mojito' (Light flavor, but not my favorite. I would not get this again. The soft serve- a classic with so many toppings. The hard serve and Italian ice is all homemade and the multiple flavors come from generations of family recipes. I can never decide between these, or the Slushie 'gelatos', or perfectly thick Milkshakes made with fresh ingredients. Don't forget to grab some cookie wafer ice cream sandwiches to go for home, and for their winter off season! You can tell how good the ice cream is here, because usually there's a line down the sidewalk of people waiting! If it's not too busy, I'm always glad to stand and chat a bit with Rachel and catch up on the latest goings on in town, just like I did with Harry who ran the shop my entire childhood. We came during a midweek lunch rush and there was only one person working so it was taking a long time so my husband had drop me back off at work before going back to grab it and deliver it to me.
