Dr. Nammour is the BEST Neurologist I have found. After a 31 year career in Healthcare...hands on…read more...he is by far the best. He is very friendly and compassionate. His diagnostic skill is unmatched. He is quite efficient and gentle in his care. My wife and I both see him for our concerns and are thrilled to be his patients. The office staff have always been very courteous to us and we've had no issues. In fact, yesterday they went above and beyond to help me. I have found that most people respond best to kindness and consideration, and this staff is no exception. Some people are very sour and negative, thus never satisfied. We are not those people and we are quick to reward kind treatment. We highly recommend this practice for your neurological needs.

This review is for the office at Memorial City on Gessner…read more Although the medical care (Dr. Rakkhit) is good, the staff is not customer friendly nor efficient. We've waited two days to get return phone calls. They seem to be punch clock conscious, you can rarely get a nurse or appointment setter on the phone, and are often fobbed off onto someone else who then cannot help you. if you can find a good oncologist or hematologist somewhere else with efficient and kind staff, I highly recommend you do so. They have scheduled visits that were unnecessary even after a meeting that was supposed to resolve this.

I went there in 2015, and everything was okay until my insurance said the medicine was on a "step"…read moreplan. Called the doctor, office took messages. Did this many times and finally gave up. Then, 3 months later, another medicine was sent to me. What?? Today, I saw them in my contacts and wanted to see if they were still in business. I went to their website (diabetesXamerica.com) and was automatically forwarded to another site (stercorXaceous.club) that had lots of bells and warning messages, saying my PC had been locked up and to call "Apple System Security" with a fake phone number. Then I could not get off the page - that website put me in full screen mode with no menu options. I finally escaped that screen, but in less than 2 minutes my history is filled with repetitive forwarding to the website 93 times! So either Diabetes America has closed down or they've been hacked. Either way, it makes me wonder if my medical records are safe. Okay, now I get to scan my PC for viruses. NOT fun. So for many reasons, I do not recommend this place (if they're still in business). They didn't know what they were doing when I saw them, and now their website takes you to a hacker, spammer, or who knows what. Stay far away from them. Note: I added "X" in the middle of the website names because Yelp turned them into a clickable links. I didn't want anyone to accidentally click on either link.

My visit with Edward Rensimer has been the single most vile encounter I've ever had with a medical…read moreprovider. I've been waiting years to write this review. I was referred to Rensimer by a rheumatologist. I had chronic fatigue for a very long time, joint and muscle pain, and significant pain and heaviness in my legs and feet. I had also gained weight (~30 lbs). I had test results showing that I might have contracted Lyme disease (I am from a part of the country where Lyme is endemic). The rheumatologist thought I might have Lyme on the basis of my blood tests, and did not want to address any inflammatory issues until figuring out whether I had an infectious disease. At my appointment, I conveyed my symptoms (after signing my life away on reams of intake forms and waivers). Rensimer refused to look at my prior lab test results because he didn't like the local physician who ordered them. He pronounced that we don't have Lyme in Texas (I'm not from Texas). He sneered at me that my weight gain must be due to personal failures of exercise and diet (hard to exercise when you muscles, legs and feet are on fire). After some back and forth where I'm getting a very nasty vibe, he starts snarl-laughing in my face and asking me about my intimate life (non-existent for many years given how ill I was). He proceeds to ignore my responses regarding my longtime celibacy and sends me away with a script for blood tests for HIV and syphilis, even though I don't have the sexual history or genitourinary symptoms that would support the diagnosis of an STI. (Lyme disease and syphilis are both spirochete type bacteria, so I guess this was his way of saying he didn't believe me, and slapping me down, so to speak). He didn't explain the script (I looked up the blood tests myself), so I can only assume he was getting his jollies imagining how appalled I would be to blindly present that script to a lab. The whole episode was some absurd attempt at insulting me: I mean - what doctor would try to diagnose someone complaining of weight gain with HIV? Oh, and of course he also sent me off with a referral to a psychiatrist. A male psychiatrist, of course. A headshrinker to put this crazy broad (who probably sleeps around) in her place. Well, of course I wasn't crazy. And I never had HIV or syphilis. As misfortune would have it, I was eventually diagnosed with ovarian cysts and sciatic endometriosis, both of which messed with the nerves going into my legs, causing referred pain in my limbs. After years of suffering, I had surgery for this condition. On top of it, I bucked up and gathered the funds to see a Lyme specialist in a northeastern state, who promptly diagnosed me with a "classic case," and administered antibiotics. After both of these interventions, I am feeling SIGNIFICANTLY better. It is a sad fact that people who are chronically and/or mysteriously ill have to deal with physicians like these who seem to have outright contempt for their patients. I am glad that I possessed sufficient discernment and the necessary mental fortitude to continue on my health journey for answers, and not let this individual stand in the way of a resolution of my problems.
