Brought in a print to be framed, which I've never ever done before, but as a Christmas gift for my husband, I wanted to get his James Jean artwork protected and display-ready. I e-mailed them first to get an estimate and to inquire about same-day service, and the nice and timely exchange led to us visiting the store to go through the process together. My giclée print was a bit on the large size, and a custom frame was necessary: -Paper size: 33-1/2″ tall × 23″ wide -Printed on archival 310 gsm 100% cotton-rag paper with archival pigment-based ink -Embossed chop The owner/operator Gary (or Jerry.. sorry I can't recall), was very helpful and explained the different frame and glass options he had. We eventually chose a thin, light birch wood frame and UV glass. Same-day service was unavailable for our order, which was understandable, and we weren't in any kind of rush, so it was fine that the turn-around time was about a week. We couldn't be happier with the result. The framing was done impeccably and the UV non-glare glass was the right choice for us. We hung it up that same day we took it home. Overall, a fantastic experience. read more

Pin Framing - Picking a frame.. - Framing Near Me - Long Island City, New York

An absolute gem of a frame shop in Queens. Tucked away in a second-floor location, it's not hard to get to but also not a place you are likely to discover from the street. I came in with 4 different art pieces to frame and had a clear idea of what I wanted, but the owner and framer is also very happy to provide artistic guidance, suggestions, and fast estimates if you need it. I was able to get all my small to medium sized pieces custom framed (with a mix of glass types, ranging from basic and cheap to archival-quality and expensive) for less than $1000, which was spectacular. read more

Really good prices compared to manhattan. Nice job. Did it in a good turn around time. I would go back again when i have something to get framed. I'd give it more stars but what i didnt like was the person who helped me showed me one frame and expected me to take it. It was ok. I asked if she could recommend others. She put one more in front of me that didnt match. So i said can I take a look around. I found the right frame and it was the same price as the first. It was an expensive piece of fine art and I would have expected more interaction w someone who cares about frames. If I didnt push id have gotten one ok frame. In other frame stores ive been to on the upper east side they really take the time to find the right one that goes w your art, your style etc. They ask about your decor, where it will be hung Of course they frame for the Met but still, cant hurt to really care about what you do. So this biz could use a little more of that and then they'd be great. Good selection of frames. Nicely done. Solid wiring on the back. So if you know what you like you'll have no problem. read more

Owner listen carefully to my needs for a complicated folding frame and executed it perfectly at a fair price.

I had a fifty-year-old poster that I decided to try and get framed. The salesperson was SO helpful and we got what I think is a very tasteful handling of the art. I'm heading there tomorrow with another poster. Thanks, guys. This was great! read more

We have used Pin several times to frame important documents and works of art. They have a surprisingly large collection of frame and matting options and are so patient as you take the time to decide what looks best. They also make great recommendations and take great care of your works. They are fast and very fairly priced for the quality and service. read more

Thanks to my local FB group and the stellar reviews, I went to Pin Framing to frame a vintage 70s graphic poster I bought in PR. Grace was incredibly helpful in finding the right frame that fit my needs and was patient. There are a lot of frame options, so it can be overwhelming but after about 30 mins. I finally found the one. I'm so happy with the overall look and quality of the product and service. Pin Framing offers a number of services including mat cutting and canvas stretching. I will definitely head here for any other future needs and to support an amazing local business! Thanks so much Grace and team! read more

This review is long overdue. My husband and I were looking for a print shop to have our engagement photo enlarged, printed and framed. The staff were quick to respond and even work with our tight time schedule. Our wedding was literally a few days away!! Thanks to them we had our photo ready in time. We received so many compliments on how good the quality was. Btw, they use one of the best printer and can't beat the price!! They were very kind and easy to work with. We will be returning to have our other photos printed from. Thank you!!! read more

I just had the most amazing experience with this store today. I met Gary about a few weeks ago when I was passing by the store near La Guardia Community college. I'm a novice photographer that just went on a post graduation backpacking trip. As such, I wanted to get a nice professional print done for my parents. Gary and his team was great and offered me fantastic pricing to get the photo done and printed. He walked me through the framing process -- even giving me recommendations on sizing, positioning, and matting. For an absolute beginner I was impressed with how much I came out learning. Now I happily have one of my blank walls filled with my photography and I can't wait to get more done! Honestly best pricing I've seen for the kind of deals they had. All the luck to Gary and his team! read more

I ordered a frame from this company for my attorney certificate. A friend of mine introduced the owner to me and he hand cut the frame for me. I was impressed by it's quality which is much better than my classmate's. read more

This shop is GREAT. They matted two pictures for me. Both times they delivered on, or before they committed to, and did a fantastic job. The prices were about 30% to 50% LESS than I would have paid at a Manhattan framer, or at Michaels craft stores. To show how nice they are, I had another print that I needed to have "wired" for hanging. I brought it to them when I picked up my first matting job, they took it in, wired it for me (while I waited) and WOULD NOT take any money for the work! I tipped the guy $10.00 bucks, which he was reluctant to take! VERY nice owners and employees. This was a REALLY great consumer experience. Great pride in what they produce, and fantastic (value added) pricing! read more

Fast and reliable. We were very nervous as this was our first time framing anything of value, but felt at ease as soon as we began discussing what we needed. We have one of a kind paintings from Cuba that were large and extremely delicate. Needless to say, everyone that sees them in our home is impressed by both the work of Art as well as how delicately it was framed read more

I had an exceptionally good experience with Pin Framing. I cannot say enough good things about them. Quality, price, professionalism, and exceptional customer service. When I forgot to get picture hangers for the 3 pieces I had done -- one antique, two contemporary -- they sent them to me in the mail immediately! I am so impressed and pleased. I will be a repeat customer. I will also note that when I was there originally to drop my work off, a customer in the store stopped me to tell me how good Pin is. He was right. Thank you Pin Framing! read more

I remember being silly enough to run into this store after researching it on Yelp and thinking I'd be out of there within a few minutes (because I couldn't find a spot and parked illegally). However, they do not rush the process here at Pin Framing. The woman that was at the store that day took her time in showing me the frames she thought went well with my two pieces (that weren't in the best of shape due to carrying them via a hand-luggage suitcase). The process was worth all the time it took because when I returned in 10 days for my two paintings, they looked like a revived version of what they were. I fell in love with the pieces all over again and couldn't wait to get home to hang them up in my living room. I'd recommend Pin Framing to anyone. Let's not forget the affordable prices! I'm a fan :-) read more

FYI: The Sunnyside location has moved to 33-12 Queens Blvd. These guys do a fantastic job and I'll be using them again!

I highly recommend Pin Framing. Gary and Grace are both very nice. I was introduced to Pin Framing by a friend. I was first reluctant to try something new, however, after this experience I was impressed by how skillful and patient the group is. They are really professional at framing. As an amateur photographer, I explain my concern on how the works should be frame. To my surprise, they were really patient and help me choose the best option to hang my works. They know what they are doing! read more

This place is amazing. The quality of the framing work is extremely high. Their turn-around time and pricing are much better than the chain where I priced the work even for special orders. This place is fantastic...great work and great price. It has moved and is across the street on Queens Blvd (now at 34-09 Queens Blvd) so I had a hard time finding it since the old awning is still on the closed store.
