This is a standard MAPCO for the most part that also has a service entrance and pumps for truckers. Convenient when cruising up or down 24, and the gas prices are fairly competitive for the limited resources in the immediate area. The place is clean, and as with most gas stations, conditionally, it is a bit worn. Overall, convenient spot when needed.

When I chose this one, it was to be a Circle K according to Google Maps. But it was not when I got off the exit. Heck, even Google Maps wasn't even completely sure what this place was, or they chose to not send their vehicle all the way to the dead end of the highway that this sits on. According to them, it wasn't even a Circle K, it was a BP/Quiznos/Fast. A few things, obviously have changed. It is now a MAPCO, another regional chain of gas stations/convenience stores, with a Subway inside, instead of Quiznos. What I can tell you is that it was very convenient, even if it was not my intended stop. I was able to get fuel, and the prices were the norm for the area. After fueling up my vehicle, I went inside to use the facilities and grab a few items to fuel up myself as well. Clean and bright on the inside. Well organized, I was able to find the items I wanted quite fast and was on my way outside. When I got outside I was in no rush to get back into my vehicle, so I stretched my legs a bit before reentering the dead end highway. to get to the main highway.

GREAT STOP There are…read moresome rules to follow when on a road trip especially with pit stops. Is the location easy to get to off and back onto the highway? Does it have cheap gas? Does it have snacks? Does it have a bathroom? These are the essential fundamentals of every good stop. I will tell you that this location covers all of those important bases. We were heading towards Chattanooga and I saw the gas advertised for $2.32 which was a great price. I'm glad I stopped because every gas station after that was almost 20 cents higher. I was really happy with the price we got for the gas, in fact it was the cheapest gas we got since starting in Chicago. This place is right off of the Highway which makes for a super fast pit stop. I don't want to drive more then a mile off of the exit because that just adds a ton of time to the drive especially with stop lights. While I was filling up the gas there was a giant poster advertising "Hand Rolled Burritos"! What? Come on! The girls went in first to the bathroom and reported back to me that they didn't see any hand rolling going on. What? Could the poster be all lies? When I went in to use the bathroom I saw about 6 burritos wrapped and sitting in the warmer, so they were ready to grab and go but no live hand rolling was seen. I did see one of the cook's in the Speedy Cafe actually making a pizza by hand. I thought to myself that was much better then a frozen microwave pizza. I didn't order any food because I typically don't order any of that stuff in a gas station. I've been tempted by the roller Dogs at many gas stations but I've held strong to not order them. This place has a giant Beer Cave which is literally cool but not when you're driving. So if your are local then stop in and grab your drink here. I was impressed by the soda machine. I don't drink pop anymore but was amazed with the sizes of the cups. I saw a giant 54 ouncer ready to be filled with soda or a slurpee. That's a lot of liquid. If I drank that if be stopping at the next rest area up the road. I will say that the Men's bathroom did have the smell of a urine filled subway station. I'd recommend a bleach dousing in here. Anyone listening on staff. I'd highly recommend you treat this room as a "Dateline" episode where you're trying to cover up a crime. This place is a great stop for some cheap gas. You'll be off and on the highway in no time at all. I love it when a plan comes together.

Walmart is cheating their customers consistently by selling a 10 lb bag with chicken quarters…read morefilled with consistently less than 9 lbs and added water. I purchase 50 lbs each month to make dog food. I complained to Walmart and neither corporate nor the store manager had any interest in hearing what I have to say. I now get my chicken at Krogers for a dollar less, and I can count on at least 10 lbs of meat without added water. This may sound petty.....but just think about one lb of chicken from every bag in every store......I wouldn't mind seeing that in my bank account. Walmart must be doing badly to use fraudulent methods to enhance its bottom line. I am a widow with less than 1 k monthly income. I need 10 lb chicken every 5 days because my dog eats 2 lb each day. That is the only reason that I found out about Walmart's discrepancy. People - BE AWARE!!!!

True, nobody really enjoys the process. But it doesn't exactly make it any better when the gas station essentially holds you hostage -- blasting a message at full volume just as the gas starts to flow letting you know that they have hotdogs and hot coffee inside. Stand up for freedom: The freedom to be left alone by corporations trying to sell you stuff for those few remaining moments of life that they haven't yet infiltrated. What's next? Kind of nice that they didn't have just the normal run of the mill stuff you find in these gas station convenience markets .... they did have all that stuff, but more! We each found some snacks and something to drink and the prices were reasonable. Staff was friendly enough at check out and took good care of us. Kind of interesting, they had catering menus up throughout the store, so they offer some additional services that you don't get at most of these stores. We'd recommend them in the future.

Shelves were well stocked and while the store is small in footprint, the selection was solid. In addition to all the standard snacks and drinks, they also have a self-serve coffee, soda/tea, roller and pastry station. Service was super friendly. The cashier was nice, helpful and an overall pleasure. Overall, solid Twice Daily that makes for a good stop when needed.
