a man in a safety vest standing in front of a gas station

Lorenz, with a smile for everyone this morning, hustling to handle all 12 fuel stations at Klamath Falls Pilot. What a breath of fresh air it was to see a hard working young man, enjoying his job. He made my day! Pilot has a GEM working for them.

As far as truck stops go, this one is comparable to Disneyland...such a great stop! Great store with all the amenities, lots of food items, and even supplies for truckers and autos alike. They also have showers inside, and like Eric said you always know when someone's shower is ready! The staff was very helpful and efficient, and people can make their way in and out at a good pace. Outside, they have a very large refueling bay, and also have a separate RV refueling area, as well as semi truck pumps in the back. This was great, as we have a trailer we were hauling, and there is definitely plenty of room around the whole place to maneuver effectively. In fact, in the back, there is a huge parking area for semi trucks as well. Also in the back is their scale, which is why we were there. Their scale was great, different pads so you can weigh trucks separately from trailers, and very big and wide with easy access. They even had an intercom outside where you can talk to the weigh master right there, which was really convenient. Even the tickets we got were better and had more information on them than at previous weigh stations. A great travel oasis with lots of amenities, we were really impressed! If we need anything weighed again, we will be back!

Yep, there's some good beers in here, didn't look at the wines. Very hidden place, just a block or…read moreso off the main drag, but you wouldn't go by it on accident. Cashier was non-verbal. And as someone said before, you have to look around to discover all the beers, cause some are not refrigerated (on shelf), and also there is a very cold cooler in the back. They have a couple aisles of convenience stuff, but I didn't look that close, candy up front, and at least 4 beers on tap, growlers available, not sure about drinking in the store, or tasting.

Looks are definitely deceiving with this place! It looks like a regular no-very-awesome convenience…read morestore...it may also look like that once you walk in...but take a longer look and you'll see an aisle lined on both sides with nice and varied wines, go further back and you'll see beers stuffed into various shelves, coolers and fridges. These aren't lame beers...these are a lot of microbrews as well as a significant amount of hard-to-find beers (read VERY hard to find in K-Falls). They had one of my favorite beers...Duchesse of Bourgogne (Belgian)...I couldn't believe it. They also have other awesome offerings such as nice cheeses (majority seemed to be from Rogue Creamery...solid). And they serve food...sandwiches, salads, breakfast items. And apparently it is excellent...I stopped by on my way to a buddy's house up the street and I asked him about this place and his words were "Yeah, it's awesome. Their food is great, some of the best in town." So there you go. Prices are good too. The owner needs to fancify the outside a bit so people don't think it's a divey convenience store. Top notch!

Shell - Only $3.29 for mid-grade gas today. That is unheard of in California, as far as I know.

He politely smiled, asked if we'd like gas, and asked if we would like to pay cash or charge. He did a great job at cleaning all of the bug splatter on our windshield, while the gas was pumping. I don't remember the last time service was offered at a gas station in California, so it was a nice surprise. I grabbed a bag of ice in the decently stocked mini mart for our long road trip down to Southern California and made a comment to the cashier about the nice service. I then learned that Oregon and New Jersey are the only two states with laws prohibiting self serve at gas stations. I know it's really not their choice to provide service, but the guy that served us was very respectful and didn't treat us as thought we were stupid Out-of-Towners, so I'm giving them 4 stars.

They also take your Fred Meyer / Kroger fuel points, so you're able to get a nice discount on gas. Pro tip: buy a Shell gift card at Freddy's when they're 4x points. I do this every year before I go on vacation, and I don't have to worry about paying for gas, or putting my credit card in a gas pump out of my local area. The price was slightly higher than Fred Meyer, but not so much so that it wasn't worth the fill-up.

Even with a large lunch time crowd of workers, Moms and Grandmas with kids, and others the lady working the deli did a great job. They also do phone in orders and recently added a self serve milkshake machine. A little gem in the south suburbs. If you are in the area and need lunch or some convenience store items this is the place. Owner seams to try constantly update with new stuff.
